Kitty's ears twitched at the loud sound of the PA. She didn't want to go inside - not just yet anyways. Inside would undoubtedly be loud and crowded; at least out here, she didn't have to worry about making a fool of herself. Hopefully.

She wandered the outside grounds, her feet hitting the ground almost silently. Her balance was off today - she had tucked her tail into her skirt in an effort to hide it, as if her ears wouldn't be strange enough. She wasn't sure what others would think or be like. If only there was a way to hide those too.

She brushed a strand of hair out of her face as she stepped over a root. There was a forest nearby and she longed to explore it, but there definitely wasn't enough time. The last thing she needed was to bring attention to herself by showing up late to.... whatever would be happening. Hopefully I don't run into anyone in the meantime. Unless they're cute... She blushed and scolded herself inwardly. First day, really? You have the social capacity of a rock. You'll freeze if you see anyone, there's no way you'll talk to any cute people. She frowned a little.

Theo normally didn't like loud noises, especially PA systems, but the fear was replaced by the feeling of excitement. He ran through the crowd and bumped into several people, but all they could see was a flash of black and blue, as he was wearing his favorite oversized black hoodie and his hair was a faded blue, blonde at the roots.

He slowed down when he got into the main hall, holding the pamphlet close to him. Unlike Kitty, Theo didn't care if people judged him on his appearance. Poking out from the back of his hoodie was a blonde, soft tail, swishing in excitement. On top of his head were two blonde ears. He didn't mind stares and whispers, he'd dealt with them before and would just ignore them.

He had seen another person like him while he was running inside, and decided that later he'd introduce himself. While he would normally be nervous to introduce himself to others, he was sure he'd be fine with someone who was like him. For now, he waited, excited, in the main hall.

With the closing of the announcement, a certain student chose to begin the trek straight to the Main Hall. Emika Tenshi-Smith saw no reason to dillydally with the other students nor did she want to cause an incident because of someone's ridiculousness. With her red pigtails swinging and blue grey eyes hard and cold, she walked through the building in search of the Main Hall.

With the closing of the announcement, another student began to hum and look around curiously. Marina Von Kaimana-Reaper was one of the few bright-eyed members of the group of new students, chipper and eager as always. Her grey-tipped lavender hair bounced in its fishtail braid as she 'bounced' in place. Well, as much as a ghostly tail would allow her to do so.

With the closing of the announcement, a third student hung in a corner of the school, near enough to the students to not be absent, but far enough to not be immediately spotted/targeted. Eris Everlast was used to hiding from others, despite her pale appearance making it difficult. With her snow-white locks and attire, and glowing golden eyes, the shadows did nothing to hide her within them.

After she had arrived many minutes later, Jackie flinched a little at the announcment, but then walked around the school, mostly in awe with the structure and design of the building. So many students....she decided not to socialize with the other students just yet. She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of strangers, or say something weird or anything..

"Why does it even matter who I talk to? I like being alone most of the time." Jackie thought to herself.

Smiling a little at the thought, she watched as the students spoke to each other, and waited at the Main Hall. She hoped her first day would go nicely, or just no inconvenience that she would have to go through..

She twisted a piece of her long black hair nervously, and her purple eye blinked a few times. Her brown skin slightly shined as the sunlight hit it. Dusting off her matching light blue jacket and sweatpants, she looked around again at the students..

School, one of the things that Mei Akamatsu absolutely despised. So what if it was more about the unnatural abilities the students possessed and not so much the academics, it still sucked. The lilac-haired girl stood silently at the gates, her arms crossed as she pouted at the sight of the academy. Geez... What kind of a budget did these people have?

After a moment of contemplation, she made the terrible decision to continue onwards and enter the school, where she was met with the unpleasant sound of the intercom blaring in her ears.

""Welcome to St Venti's Academy! My name is Khione Venti, your headmaster, and joining me is Miss Paelina.

This year is a chance for all of you to cultivate your magical abilities, and learn to thrive und-"

Mei couldn't listen to whatever her "headmaster" was blabbering on about anymore, she instead groaned and dragged her feet along the schoolyard ground as she slowly inched closer to the doors of the school. The girl who acted like she didn't have her coffee yet could honestly care less about either aspect of this school, magic or academics, she wasn't even sure why she was standing in front of those gates anyways.

Oh right, plot reasons, gotcha.

Y'know, compared to what she had seen in the past, her "abilities" were only an excuse to label her as an edge lord, which was honestly hilarious but still irked her at times. What, she didn't choose to have such an edgy and generic talent, but she sure as hell did live up to the name. Her attire, a black sweater and dark blue jean shorts, didn't really help, and she even somehow had permanent "emo" eyeliner. Don't ask her how she got it, she's not even sure either.

Speaking of abilities and attire... Mei had to admit, she was curious about all the people here. Some of them didn't even look human, and some had powers that she was pretty jealous of if she was being honest. Taking a look around, she noticed two people with ears on the top of their heads pass right by her. Interesting...

Well, this might be fun enough to be worth it, she had plenty of people to mess around with! Her boredom had been getting the best of her lately, everyone around her was too drained of any positive energy to even be worth toying with, so this would be refreshing!

Aoi and his expressionless gaze stood silently next to a few concealed bushes near an unseen area outside the building. No one was there, and the noise from the multitude of students rushing in on their first day was barely able to reach his ears. It wasn't that he was scared of becoming one with the crowd, forced to be around a bunch of rowdy people with honestly terrifying abilities, but he just really didn't feel like doing all that. He hated crowds, and crowds hated him. He didn't doubt that in a school full of outsiders, people who had something peculiar about them, he would still be looked down upon. Aoi didn't doubt that he'd catch others giving him strange looks, and he certainly didn't doubt the fact that he would be forced into isolation yet again.

Of course, he didn't mind it really, being alone was more enjoyable than any of this, but still...

The announcement came, and Aoi let out a small groan to show his distaste for what he was going to be forced into. Did he have to? Did he have to go to this school? Well, he's the one that walked through the gates in the first place, it was all on him.

Got any complaints? Well that's too bad, you're the one who did this to yourself.

And... yeah, that was true, he couldn't argue with that. With a sigh, Aoi ran his gloved hand through his long and thick two-toned hair, making sure it covered up as much of his left eye as possible. He fixed his beige and pale green, oversized hoodie and made sure the collar on his white turtleneck under it didn't look absolutely god-awful before sweeping off his gray pants and making his first effort to actually step into the school.

Aoi slowly came out of hiding near the bushes and stepped into the schoolyard, almost overwhelmed by the people flooding into the doors of the academy. He winced and stopped in his tracks, now extremely reluctant to continue going forward. After a moment or two, he finally managed to convince himself to take another step, and another, and another until he was finally through the doors.

Oh boy... He was definitely not excited for this.

Kitty watched from a distance as more people swarmed into the school, stomach curling. Maybe if she walked fast, no one would notice her?

Head down, half-walking, half-jogging, she entered the courtyard and headed into the gate, before bumping into Aoi and stumbling back, falling down. "I'm sorry!" She blurted, unable to she who she had run into as she pinched her nose to keep her eyes from watering. How could anyone possibly have that much muscle to feel like a brick??

Idris Kallikrates ┃ Death's Cold Embrace

"Welcome to St Venti's Academy!"

That sentence was enough to make the boy shudder. He ran a hand through thick, black curls dangling over his eyes. Idris squinted at the large building, a marvel of white brick and grey, tall spires with gold-capped tops glinting in the sunlight.

It looked like hell.

"This year is a chance for all of you to cultivate your magical abilities-"

"Yeaahhhh, no. No chance." He scoffed. His parents more or less forced him to be here, and if this was going to be hell for him, then he'd make it hell for everyone else too.

"-and learn to thrive under this amazing academic environment."

"Amazing? This hell-hole?" He muttered angrily. No chance of Idris 'thriving' with all the losers that attended here, probably by choice. What weirdos.

He was dressed in a simple black hoodie and baggy jeans, silver rings studded with black gemstones wrapped themselves around slim, pale fingers. Black nail polish hid the bloody stumps of his nails. Idris's eyes were practically black, and full of anger, glaring at every student that passed him. His most unusual feature was a small, black teardrop tattoo below his right eye.

Pushing past various students, ignoring protests and occasional pushes back, he made his way into the Main Hall, a high-ceilinged area, filled with wooden benches and seats, where the students were sitting.

"I guess I'll just...sit here, then. How fun."

Lin Reyane-Martinez┃The Night Terror

Large, round, hazel eyes squinted at the practically shining castle. It was hard to believe that [i]this
was the place she'd stay in for the next.....five minutes. Yup, that's how long she'd stay here. It wasn't as if Lin would actually stay the entire semester, no, no. That would be silly.

In five minutes, she'd be gone. Running wild in the woods. Not in some cage disguised as a school. Yes, she'd make sure of that.

Ignoring the stupid headmaster and her useless words, Lin bolted into the Main Hall, staring at her fellow students. In her head she was counting the time until she would make her move.

Kaden Sorrows┃The Archangel

His fingertips twitched. Sunlight bounced of Kaden's curly, blonde hair. He felt anxious. New place, new people, that was always....a struggle to him. He wasn't the best at communication.

He flexed his fingers. Kaden could feel all of the emotion. Happiness, anger...the list went on.

It was strange, being able to properly feel other people's emotions. And to control it? Well, that was another story.

Keiki Meyumi ┃Angel Eyes

Keiki squealed with excitement. New memories, new friends. More people to show of their fabulous nails too! It was perfect! Keiki danced from one high-heeled foot to another, clapping their hands merrily.

They wondered what mystical and magical abilities everyone else had. Nothing that compared to their power, of course. Keiki's was the best!

The best. That's what Keiki would be.

They grinned, brown hair bouncing on their head.

Keiki headed quickly inside.

Mei honestly had no clue as to what she was doing, she didn't care enough about this prestigious, stuck-up, snobby excuse for a school enough to look up any info about it. Where was the "Main Hall" again...? Ugh, guess she had to "figure things out for herself", which she found incredibly annoying. She tried to stay in the back of the crowd and follow everyone, but she only succumbed to the sea of people pushing her along instead.

The girl whose frustration and annoyance that was only building up higher and higher by the second could hardly pay attention to everyone that was walking by, unable to catch their faces or prominent features like she normally would've liked. It annoyed her to no end, but she guessed she'd just have to deal with it.

Not like she would ever interact with even half of them anyways.

At least she was able to catch a few seemingly important characters as she walked by, since it was the only thing she could do to fill her mind during the long trek.

There was that boy again, blue hair with blond roots, and little ears poking out on top. Hmm... There was also a girl with red pigtails, and another with hair similar to Mei's, only they had grey tips. Everyone else was just a blur.

She had to admit, she was shocked to see how many people looked... Normal. Aww man, this wasn't fun! She couldn't make fun of anyone if they all looked normal, that was pretty much the only reason she hadn't walked out by now!

Mei continued walking, internally pouting, still trying to look around and observe her surroundings but to no avail. That is, until she got distracted and ran into someone. Somehow.

How do you run into someone who was sitting? She swore she wasn't this clumsy... Oh how embarrassing... Well, time to make up a million different excuses and probably throw in a few insults here and there!

This "someone" was a man with somewhat long black hair, wearing a black hoodie and some jeans, his fingers adorned with many rings that all looked so edgy, yet were pretty enough to actually work. His black eyes, one of which having a tattoo underneath, were filled with anger.

Oh hey, they were matching, how funny. Black hoodie/sweater, jeans, angry eyes, and... Ok maybe they weren't matching all that much, but still.

Mei simply stood back and stared at him for a few seconds, raising an eyebrow slightly as she turned her head to look over her shoulder. She should've kept walking and sit down in a seat far away and not even interact with him, but she wanted something to do.

She hated apologizing, but nothing that came to mind was something she wanted to say. Instead, she gave the perfect response of "Uhh..." as she continued to stare.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Aoi tried to stall his entrance as much as possible by walking much slower than he should've, which was obviously a mistake as shown by someone bumping into him. If he didn't see them just moments before they ran into him, he would've definitely jumped, an embarrassing amount. This situation was already so awkward, and he honestly felt a little bad. They were going a bit fast after all, so the impact probably hurt. Especially since...

"Sorry..." Aoi muttered quietly, his low and deep voice was slightly raspy due to almost never being used. He took a step back and looked down at them, his tired, expressionless face almost completely hidden by the hair in his face. They were looking down as well, but they were pinching their nose and squeezing their eyes shut, probably because of the pain. He didn't move, he didn't lift his hand to help, he didn't even try and say anything. He wasn't really sure on what he was supposed to do...

Kitty waved her hand as if to wave away the apology. "That was totally on me." She mumbled, standing up and finally unplugging her nose. And then freezing as her green eyes took in the other... person.

And they weren't half bad looking either. Only... It was looking at a blank slate- not a single emotion showed on his face. I've probably annoyed him..

"I've got to go. Su-Sorry again." She stammered, speed-walking away and mumbling "stupid tail".

Theo looked around, and his excitement slowly turned to fear as he realized that there were a lot more people than he thought there'd be. He glanced around at some people, trying not to make eye contact. He felt intimidated by some people's appearances, and looked down at the ground.

He was really awkward around actual people. Which is why he was thankful for his ability, because it was easier to communicate with technology. He shoved his hand in his sweaters pocket, a little too aggressively, and took out a small pocket watch, checking the time, which was a nervous habit of his.

He silently hoped that nobody would take a seat next to him.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Their sudden silence, along with them seemingly being frozen was highly unsettling for Aoi. Did he... do something wrong?

They're probably judging me right now... Ah great...

Aoi's blank face now had a slightly concerned look to it as he watched them, words refused to come to his mind as he listened to yet another apology.

What was he supposed to say...?

A gloved metal arm slowly rose up to set his hand on the back of his neck, rubbing it slightly as a show of his uncertainty.

"No, it's fi-" He tried to say, but the green-eyed woman had left without saying another word. He didn't even get to apologize correctly, and the awkward atmosphere made him feel so much worse...

Oh well, he just had to hope that no one else would bump into him like that. He started off with a sigh and a pinch to the bridge to his nose, the lack of warmth coming from the fabric touching his skin was almost chilling. Even after all these years, he still wasn't used to it...

Aoi decided it was best to just keep going, head to the Main Hall and just... take a seat? He wasn't sure exactly what he was supposed to do, or even where this "Main Hall" was. Guess he was going to have to find out...

Khione Venti┃Winter's Icy Wrath

A tall, slender woman walked into the room. A sense of elegance seemed to emanate from her, and the temperature seemed to drop. Small snowflakes started to form and float gently from the ceiling. She had porcelain features, pale lips and a small nose, and soft blue eyes the colour of ice.

"Welcome, everyone."

The woman's voice was airy and cheerful, yet had a hint of sternness. She broke into a small smile.

"I'm pleased to see you've made your way into the Main Hall. I am your Headmaster. You may call me Miss Venti."

The lady paused.

"To liven up our spirits and rid ourselves of new-day nervousness, I'd like to propose a little, activity of sorts. It's nothing big, I would just like all of you students to- ah, introduce yourselves. You may say a few words, and it would be delightful if you could give us a small sample of what your abilities are. Understand?

You may all nominate amongst yourselves who will start first. They may come up here and demonstrate. Thank you.

Idris Kallikrates ┃ Death's Cold Embrace

He glanced angrily upwards. A purple haired girl stared at him. What was her problem? She was the one that ran into him, how do you even run into someone who was- eh, he didn't care.

"Um-" He muttered back. Idris wasn't one for conversation. He sat there, praying the girl would just go away.

"I would just like all of you students to- ah, introduce yourselves.

Oh. Hell.

"No chance." Idris snorted.

After Jackie had entered the room a few minutes later, she saw the women and listened to her words carefully....

Introduce themselves?

Oh dear. Already? Jackie blinked a few times. She looked around at the other students around her. She wondered who would go first??

Jackie was quite nervous. If she would go up soon, what would she say? There was barley anything interesting about her, at least, that's what she thought. Miss Venti looked nice and supportive...

Jackie looked down, fiddling with her hands. It's what she would do when she was nervous...in this case, she was very, very nervous. She hoped her introduction would be good....but, who would introduce themselves first?

They also had to share their abilities a little? She was indeed curious about the other student's powers, not like it was her buisness, but, still...Jackie frowned a little at the thought. Were her own powers interesting?

Theo listened to the headmaster. Just the thought alone of introducing himself and showing off his powers was enough to scare him into a awkward state. He shoved his hands into his sweaters pockets again, taking out a small mess of gears and wires. Another nervous habit of his was fidgeting with whatever he could find.

He looked around again, meeting some people's gazes. Some people looked scary, and others looked nervous about this small activity. Theo couldn't blame them.

But...if he got it done first, he wouldn't have to deal with it later. It would be more ideal to do it now. He wouldve said something, but he didn't speak up, instead waiting for others to converse and choose.

Kitty was ready to faint. Speak? In front of everyone?

She nervously chewed her lip and tried to avoid meeting anyone's gaze. She'd probably end up going sometime in the middle, not first, not dead last. Her eyes fell on Aoi, spotting him across the room. I wonder when he'll go...

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

The only thing Mei was met with was a cold dead stare, right back at her. What, were they gonna have a staring contest now? The only thing she did was scoff and roll her eyes, walking away before "Miss Venti" just waltzed into the room, announcing to the students of what hell she was going to put them through. Mei sat down a row across from Idris, taking one last glance and giving a sly grin (for some odd reason) before she committed to listening to the ice queen.

". . .I would just like all of you students to- ah, introduce yourselves."

...Seriously? What kind of elementary school BS was this? Why did they have to "introduce" themselves? God, this all felt so unnecessary and extra, it bored the hell out of Mei. She silently groaned, crossed her arms, and let her head full of lavender hair fall back to the head of the chair, draping over it as she sat like that for a few moments.

Oh lovely, she had a feeling she wouldn't be able to weasel her way out of this one. That snowflake probably had her cold icy grip gently hovering everyone, ready to "keep them in line" at any moment... Sure, she didn't seem to be anything less than a "loving" Headmistress, but Mei didn't look like anything more than a brat. "Don't judge a book by its cover" or whatever, she couldn't be too trusting of first impressions.

"Like hell I'd do that..." she muttered, tilting her head back up while she glared at the Headmistress.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Introductions... Seriously? Was this so all the students could know each other, or so that she could know them, or even both? Well, Aoi didn't doubt that she had all of their info on record, so was this really just some cruel way to solo out people and bring them to a stage for introductions? Didn't she know that most of the people here, including him, were edgy loners who really couldn't be bothered?

This was certainly an experience, definitely one he didn't want to be a part of. Aoi crossed his arm and sunk down further into his seat, keeping his emotionless gaze set on Miss Venti. He took a moment to slightly glance around for a few seconds, spotting the girl from earlier staring straight at him. He froze, slightly turning his head back to face the Headmistress while still keeping his eyes on Kitty. Why was she staring at him...? Did he... Did he do something wrong...? Had he already made an enemy in the first few minutes of being here?

He had absolutely no plans on introducing himself, he worse these baggy clothes and had the classic 2005 emo haircut for a reason. Nobody needed to know, and he didn't want anyone to know. He didn't trust anyone here to even know his name, especially after this whole thing with Kitty.

Emika Tenshi-Smith

Emika grimaced heavily. Demonstrate their skills? What were they, five year olds?? She rolled her eyes. She subconsciously rubbed a finger over an object in her pocket...
Marina Von Kaimana-Reaper

Marina perked up. She glanced around excitedly, trying to spot who would go first. Her grey and purple fish tail wiggled about happily as a thought entered her mind. Maybe if no one went up, SHE would be the starting student!
Eris Everlast

Eris, no pun intended, froze up. Introduce?? Demonstrate?! By the grace of Arceus she was scared now! She was scared as she was without this!

Kitty sighed. It was really obvious that no one wanted to do this - and that they wouldn't leave until they did. Cringing, shaking slightly, she walked to the front.

"He-Hi, I'm Kitty." She mumbled, but it was apparent that she couldn't be heard.

"I'm Kitty." She repeated, faking confidence. "My talents are fire manipulation and weak healing." She pulled a match from her pocket, and with one swift move, lit the match. The flame then leapt from it to her, a little person running up her arm, only to disappear momentarily. In a flash, she suddenly had a crown of flames, and she dipped her head before heading back door her seat, chewing her lips nervously.
