Chiron blew the horn, and everyone dropped their weapons at once and rushed over. the blue team hoisted Lucinda, Ace, Athena and Kendo up on their shoulders and cheered, while Clarisse from the red argued about the unfairness of them being able to transform. but Chiron refused to a rematch and they were carried in glory to their cabins.

Athena disliked all the attention. She'd have preferred if everyone just ignored her like during dinner. Now she got even more attention than her friends, because she'd been the one to bring the flag back. That Ares girl, Clarisse, seemed to have decided that she was her mortal enemy. Which meant even more attention. Pretty much everyone wanted to talk to her now, even the Aphrodite girls, who didn't talk much with other campers, especially daughters of Athena. They were currently complimenting her on her beauty, and giving her suggestions on clothes, makeup, pretty much every useless thing that ever existed. Actually, she was receiving many comments on her looks. Even her wings, which many had thought of as strange and made her a freak. She was pretty much going to pass out from all this.

the next morning, Lucinda got up early and went to the Athena cabin to find Athena, then to the Poseidon and Ares cabins, careful to advoid Clarisse

Kaori sighed. It was only 1 day in China, and Ayran did NOTHING in helping. She'd have to find some way of making a nice and toasty AyranDemiKebab without resorting to violence, while including the cannibalism.

Soon, everyone were eating. But then, A black stripe begin to burn into Athena, Lucinda, Ace and Kendo’s arms. Number two was down. Lucinda grimaced and winced with pain. She went to the bathroom and poured cool water on it.

Athena winced slightly. One and Two were down. That left eight out of ten. They'd been briefed and prepared on the fact that some, if not most, of them would die on this mission. But it was still a blow to lose someone so early into the mission. She joined Lucinda in the restrooms.

Why did everything she do have to attract so much attention? IT WAS SERIOUSLY ANNOYING! Fine, maybe these people didn't have black stripes burn onto their arms everytime someone died, but was it really that strange?
