She glared at Junko, pursing her lips. The audacity of this girl, acting like Philomena could ever hurt a fly! She was just a sweet little lady, she could do no harm (physically, anyway.)
"Junko, is it? I'm sooo sorry, girlie, but you are just out of style. You can't even provide a proper list of what you were up to when that poor girl croaked. If you can do that, maybe someone's gonna believe you." She snickered. "Someone stupid, that is."

Matsuki's sarcastic quip was quiet from across the trial room, but they were still at least somewhat engaged, clearly entertained by the blondes' fury toward one another.
"..No actual violence in court though. I kinda want to stay on track with trying to pass the BAR exam and I don't need a smear on my record."

"Looks like someone's getting angry." Matsuki raised an eyebrow, not really caring that they're not taking the trial seriously anymore. They'd scream about it into the pillow later, but right now was a time to.. basically be rejoicing.
"Death threats are.. not a good look on you. You know, I was considering voting Ms. Ambrosia, but you definitely sold me. I'm voting you."
They blew a fake-kiss at Junko before tucking the pen behind their ear again.

Junko was put into a spiked room, with them flying at her. She dodged them again and again, until when they were all gone... All of them leapt onto her and impaled her, with her shouting a bloodcurdling scream, which soon stopped. She was... dead?

And just like that.. it was over.
To say Matsuki felt bad would be a gross overstatement. Justice was justice, and in the eyes of society, this would be the normal punishment.
It wasn't as if they believed the death penalty was necessary; in fact, being shut up in a prison cell to rot for eternity seemed like a more appropriate sentencing for such a hideous crime. But what's done is done, and they can't exactly change the past.
..They feel empty. It was like the void had clawed its way into their heart, and now they were doomed to feel blank. It certainly helped them cope with the horror displayed before their eyes.
Matsuki took a deep breath and turned away.
"Don't expect me to help you this much ever again. I'll take notes and that's it."

Philomena's stomach churned as the brutal sight came to a close. Horror crossed her face as she stepped away. She didn't want to have that happen to her.. ever. How anyone could feel that a game like this was okay was truly, truly beyond her.
She began to walk out of the trial room, trembling.
..but once she'd returned to the safety of her room, she laughed. Was it one of distress? She wasn't sure. All she knew was that she wanted out of this place. She wanted the comfort of her girlfriend, telling her she did the right thing by letting Enoshima fall.
She did the crime, she served the punishment.
Philomena isn't sure of how to feel.
