Callie lazily woke up, suddenly shivering and jumping up at the distant rasping of words, her blood ran cold as sparks ran out of her fingers. She quickly wrapped them up in her blanket and hid them, people still didn't know of this, there was a reason for this pyrokinesis, there haven't been many demigods with this power, something could happen at any moment, an attack or something worse. Within a matter of minutes Chiron was calling out for the members of the Senior Council, Callie's suspicions were right. She got up and changed into her regular clothes, heading out of her cabin, as she approached the exit of the cabin to be stopped by the camp Jupiter exchange camper, Coal, he was pretty young only around five or six. "Where are you going?" he asked, his black curly hair bouncing as he fiddled with his fingers, so far the kid seemed to look up to her. "Nowhere important," she replied simply, Coal ran off content with the answer, and Callie walked away towards the Rec Room speeding up with every step. There was a prophecy, and she was impressed at the fast reaction of the others.
Genevieve walked out just before the meeting started and led Callie behind the Rec Room, "It's bad," she said, "Ouranos I believe" she added simply. Callie's hand burst into flames, she calmed herself quickly letting the flames lull. They headed back inside, Genivive, walking up next to Chiron and Dionysus, he had returned after getting together with a mortal 'claimed' by Zeus, basically the nymph story all over again, didn't he have a wife? Anyways, he had ninety-three years left, two hundred years instead of the hundred he had because of the nymph. So, even though there was more of curious questioning from Callie. She sat near Diyonisus's old ping pong table, awaiting the rest of the camp head counselors awaiting the rest for the meeting to start. Callie hummed to herself at the silent room.
In the many years Quinn had gone to this camp, the one thing he dreaded most was prophecies. Thank the gods he had only been involved with the whole thing once, but it didn't make it any less nerve-wracking. "Yeah yeah... I'll be there in a bit..." He mumbled, rubbing his eyes as they adjusted to the sunlight. Shutting the door slowly, Quinn went back to his bed to properly gather himself and get ready for the meeting. His hair was all raggedy, his clothes weren't even put on right, gods... he was a mess.
After only a few minutes, he had gotten ready and was slowly walking out the door, making sure he wouldn't miss anything or accidentally bump into anyone. Quinn began by running his hand through his hair, then stuffing his hands into his pockets before he made his way to the rec room. "Hopefully I'm not-" a small pause fell upon him as he peered into the room with only... 4(?) people... "Oh..." He said, slightly embarassed.
A girl sat in the Cabin of Athena, brushing her strawberry red hair, when the summoning of the Senior Council happened. It caused her to raise an eyebrow. This only happened when something serious was going on. With a smirk, the girl goes over to her bunk and brings out a special cage. Within the cage was a creature made entirely of metal in the shape/form of an owl. Activating the owl, the girl gave it her orders. Upon receival, the owl's red eyes opened and the creature took off out of the Cabin of Athena to spy on the meeting for its mistress, for the Great Emika Smith, daughter of Athena, would never let secrets be held for very long~.
Within one of the newest Cabins of Camp Halfblood, specifically Cabin 205, sat a young girl with pale skin and snow white hair. The young girl's golden eyes widened when she heard the murmurs of a meeting with the Senior Council and Chiron come on the wind. The wind was kind enough to help her listen to the happenings of the Camp. Looking out the window of the icy Cabin, Eris Everlast wondered what the meeting would be about? And who was about to suffer at the hands of a new prophecy?
Genevieve briskly took over explaining the first prophecy, "The shield taken from its home,", and "That's what we're working with," she adds. She guessed this would be the first out of a few strands of prophecy each more important than the next.
"A prophecy? Great..." Alto grumbled, closing the door after hearing the news, not even giving the messenger a proper goodbye. She got dressed, moped around a bit, then finally made her way out the door. She pulled her hood over her head on the way out, purely out of habit, and made her way to the rec room. Don't look, don't make eye contact, don't worry about them, leave me alone, leave me alone, leave me alone... Pale white hands gripped the black cloth harder and harder until her knuckles turned white, pulling her hood tighter and tighter over her hair as she felt the ghostly stares that seemed to fall upon her. Faster... Faster... Walk faster! Her feet began to pick up and almost became a run, but she was already at her destination. She was out of breath, her lungs heaved for air, and she was standing right outside the door. Just breathe... Just breathe... Get it together... Alto's breathing slowly began to steady, and her hand reached for the handle. 1... 2... 3... Just open the damn door already! Oh how she hated dealing with this stuff... She had only been here a month, so she barely knew anyone, and she was automatically made head council due to the lack of present siblings. Anyways...
Alto walked in quietly, hood still over her head and her body quite tense. She said nothing as she made her way to an open corner, away from everyone. Well, as far as she could get at least. She listened closely and didn't move a muscle, but her mind raced with the possibilities from the words the... Who was that, the oracle? Ah, she couldn't remember, but that's who she believed to be the one dealing with the whole prophecy ordeal.
Quinn stood silently as he listened as well, turning his head to see the rest of the cabin heads walk in. He knew pretty much all of them, except for some of the newer ones. After they had all seemingly come in, he turned his attention back to Genevieve. Really? is that all they had to work with? Well, the prophecies were infamous for being cryptic and infuriating to deal with...
Ban laughed as his celestial bronze motorcycle ran over a cyclops running away from him, the monster screaming as It was ripped to shreds by the wheels and disintegrated. Ban tilted the head and sniffed the air, looking for more monsters. He frowned. Lately monsters seemed to be disappearing from Boston, but where could they be heading? Revving up his engine, he considered his options. He could stay and try to completely wipe out any monsters left In Boston, or he could migrate to another more monster filled area. Ban sighed. Such a shame, he had enjoyed his stay in Boston, the food was great and the demigods he met were hospitable. Driving past a alley, he spotted a gorgon cornering what looked like a scared demigod….was that a imperial gold battle axe lying behind the gorgon? Grinning, he raced into the alley, picking up the imperial gold axe and swinging It into the back of the gorgons neck. The head hit the ground, rolling face up to stare at ban In shock right as the light faded out of their eyes and their body disintegrated, leaving the head behind as his spoil of war. Ban just picked It up and threw It in the dumpster, uninterested.
“Hey kid, you ok?” Ban flipped the battle axe and offered It to the kid. The kid shivered, accepting the battle axe. “Yeah, could have been worse though. Thanks for saving my butt mr….?” Ban grinned. “I’m the mighty Ban Enma, the god of friendship! Fresh In my monster hunting phase. How do ya do kid?” The kid just stared at him before shaking his head. “I’m EZ, a demigod son of Tyche, but your not a god as far as I know. The god of friendship title belongs to Philotes. Besides, why would a god save a LoWlY mOrTaL like me?” EZ’s eyes were covered in shadow, In hatred for the high and uppity gods of Olympus. Ban just laughed and slapped the kid on the back. “Oh thats simple, I’m what you kids might call an obscure god, I would have faded If I hadn’t been brought back from the edge by Zeus. I have no idea why he would do It, but I’m here now in the flesh. As for my title, you know how Hera shares child birthing duties with her daughter Eileithyia? Well its the same case for me and Philotes. Besides, I deal in the more manly side of friendship, while Philotes Is the feminine equivalent of friendship.” EZ stared doubtfully at Ban. “Well even If all that Is true, why would you save me? From what I know, gods don’t really care for human lives..” EZ said scornfully. Ban just scratched his chin. “Well why wouldn’t I save you? Its the right thing to do, I’ve almost come close to a fate similar to death, and I know how It feels. I wanna preserve life wherever possible. ” he looked at the dumpster where the gorgon head sat. “Well, barring most monsters.” He added.
EZ shook his head but decided not to continue this topic any further. “Well, I was on a scouting mission with some friends In Boston when we were ambushed, and our ride was destroyed. The gorgon hunted each and every last one of us down and killed us all….except me. Now I can’t get back to camp half blood without a miracle preventing me from being chased by a horde of monsters, I smell like roast beef, roses and rainbows apparently.” Ban looked thoughtfully to the heavens. “Y’know, I’ve got a sweet ride, and I just so happen to be leaving Boston for more monster infested areas. Where exactly Is this camp half blood?” EZ looked up hopefully. “Its In long island, could I hitch a ride with you? Together, we can mow down any monsters In the way!” Ban grinned and ruffled EZ’s hair. “I like your spunk kid! I’ll take you to your camp, perhaps I could be of some use In long island, eliminating monsters and rescuing other demigods like you!” EZ grinned excited. “Its a deal then!” They both hopped on bans bike, zipping off to the camp, occasionally stopping for food or to mow down monsters. “I sell some of the spoils of war i find on monsters” Ban explained as he handed EZ a steaming hot dog fresh from the grill.
(Can i time skip to when Ban and EZ get to camp?)
...crap.
Idris woke with a start, dark eyes scanning his cabin. Completely empty. Everyone had gone, but where?
"No- no, nonono-" He realised, groaning.
Overslept, again?
Running a hand through messy, black hair which spilled in front of his eyes, Idris quickly got dressed and made his way outside the Hecate cabin. Voices seemed to be coming from the Rec Room. Idris groaned, he had missed something important.
He poked his head in. "G'morning-" He stifled a yawn. "Sorry I'm late, I had places to be, monsters to slay, y'know? What'd I miss-?"
But she's a nice girl. No need to worry.
Ah yes, I suppose that's true. A pity she is to be leaving today.
A poor runaway deserves some money on her way, isn't that right?
Hm, perhaps I should sent her out with a bit.
A sorry one she is, maybe more will do.
Though I'm low on money myself...
It's for a good cause. Besides, good people are always rewarded one way or another.
Of course. I am to be kind. I will go give her money for her safe travels.
An exchange of farewell greetings, and Mavael was on the run again, with stack of bills in her clenched fist. As she turned and started walking away, the morning sun glinted off silver. A flute, curiously well-cared for, was held in the other.
Genevive shifted her weight to her other leg nervously, the only thing that gave away the emotions, the rest of the prophecy shook her up a little, she knew it wasn't done and could have a positive ending but she couldn't help but shiver.
"The shield taken from its home"
"The selected demigods visit Rome"
"Praying for the end of them the ancient sing,"
This greatly concerned her, she knew she could have told the others but she wished to speak to Chiron about this privately. She couldn't resist herself. Genevive glanced at Callia as if saying I promise, soon, looking up she prayed whispering to hades, "Please, help..." Genevive knew she resented her father and the gods in general very much and was rather bitter at the subject but this was crucial. She wouldn't have done this if it wasn't.
Ban roared into the camp, past thalias pine tree as if the barrier wasn’t there, and skidded to a halt with EZ clinging on to dear life. Killing the engine, they stepped off the bike and glanced around. “Damn, nice set up you got going around here. Seems pretty quiet for a camp though.” Ban squinted into the sun and scowled, thinking about apollo. EZ just ignored Ban and rushed into camp, hurriedly knocking on the rec room doors. Ban leisurely strolled after them, grinning and expecting to talk to whoever was in charge of this place.
Genevieve looked back down snapping out of her daze and awkwardly stood shifting her weight, “Who, are you?” she began, “I don’t think you’re part of the Senior Council, or are you?”, Genevieve continued asking.
Ugh, just around twenty minutes till I can talk to Chiron, then again I could tell everyone, but would they believe me? I lied about two already. Genevieve got lost in thought despite the exciting things going on out of her head and in front of her. The words from her previous prayer felt bitter, just plain wrong, in her mouth, these gods were all the same, stuck-up fools manipulating others to do their work.
After a few minutes of listening, Quinn began to look at the demi-god closer, as something seemed off about him. Quinn didn't recall ever seeing this guy, yet he felt somewhat close, recognizable in a sense. He quickly straightened his posture as he thought about it more and more, no longer nonchalantly leaning against the wall. His dark blonde hair followed his head as it fell slightly towards his shoulders. That kid... Huh, what a day it was...
Alta sunk further and further into the corner as more and more people came in, gluing her eyes to the floor so that she couldn't see the ghosts gathering around everyone in the room. She relied on her ears to gather crucial information, which didn't help her most of the time, but it was better than not knowing what was going on. She only looked up momentarily when someone mentioned a god being here, but quickly grew uninterested and returned to her normal, reclused state.
at your service! Nice to meetcha .No i am not a senile demigod nor one of those cultists that proclaim themselves as gods, and yes i am aware Philotes is already the goddess of friendship, i merely share her duties. just ask Dionysus! we used to party hard in the old days where i ruled over my city, he introduced me to this hot chick that was unfortunately a maenad... " his eyes glazed over as if he was straining to remember something, before he snapped back to reality. "Uhhhh you might want to give the kid some counseling too, hes seen things."
Genevieve rolled her eyes at her unanswered questions and opened her mouth in an attempt to comfort the mysterious demigod for having been a victim of the fates cruelty. At the mention of Ban being a god, Genevives eyes widened and her jaw nearly dropped like the many others sitting in the Rec room. Diyonus and Chiron would surely know if he was telling the truth or merely spittng lies.
