So... not fighting! My skills as a mediator are growing more powerful by the day! Why, soon enough, I might get a full sun cycle without someone stabbing me!
Shurkul tried to hide his grin, unsuccessfully.
Arioch Riverenza
i rewrote arioch's personality and backstory and stuff so if there's any inconsistencies please kindly ignore them
Arioch's heart raced as Faelan's words echoed through his mind. He knew he was in a precarious position and had to think fast. Pain was absolutely not something he wanted to experience, at least at this point in time.
He weighed his options carefully, considering his possible decisions. He knew that giving up the information also meant giving up precious opportunities for blackmail and threats, but he also didn't exactly want to be tortured.
"Well, I could find another way to get the information for you?" he said. "Maybe through...like, another document or something?"
Hearing Suko's yelp caused Emika to look back from her horse. She winced as she saw Suko get dogpiled hard by multiple guards. She considered her options; abandon and leave on horseback or stay to help?
Eris was beyond nervous. The carriage moved amid the townsfolk and the buildings without much fanfare. Her disguise kept the eyes off anyway...
Shurkul
Oh, murder was never indicative of a peaceful conversation... was it? He was starting to suspect that he was slipping.
"Hey hey, how about we calm down?" He flashed a charming, orcish smile."I think we were doing great before we brought the whole limbs thing into the conversation! How about we backtrack to there?"
Shurkul grinned harder. "Sound good?" He offered them a double thumbs up.
Suko Nobu
Time to fight for her life, she supposed. She shrieked, flailing around, kicking at any exposed chunks of skin.
With an oomph, a soldier fell off her. She took the immediate opportunity to lunge at him and tackled him. He screamed, trying to kick her off, but she clung on, determined, and headbutted him in the nose.
The man jerked, gave a yell, and brought a bare arm to protect his now bleeding nose. Suko stared at the exposed skin and spotted an opportunity.
"SHE'S CRAZY! SHE'S GOING TO KILL ME! HEEELPPP!"
Suko clung onto his arm with her teeth, even as he desperately fought to escape.
"AAAAAGGGH!"
Brooksook Myel
Brooksook frowned as she stared outside the window. A flock of Owlings danced across the skies, singing to a song of which there was no harmony- only a thousand melodies, cascading down and fluttering in her skull.
It was beautiful.
To an elf, maybe, but hardly to a human. Hardly to a Myel.
She shook off the wave of self loathing. Finding beauty in nature may have been a typically elfish trait, but most of the
"Hey!" A voice called.
She went stiff and glanced at Eris. Answer, she mouthed.
Decision made. Emika spurred her horse towards the struggling guard and Suko. Reaching down, she snatched Suko by her waist and hoisted her up as her horse continued its run...
Eris was looking out the window of the carriage as well. She always enjoyed the beauty of the flora and fauna of the world...
Suko Nobu
Suko hung out sideways, cackling. She whooped, pumping her fist in the air. "Ha! Take that, losers! You smell! We rule! Oomph-" A stray branch thwacked her in the face.
She swung herself up into a sitting position on the horse. She hooked her arms around Eris, still laughing even as they drove off into the wilderness.
Brooksook Myel
Their carriage slowed to a stop. Brooksook shivered. The... thing inside her chest was quivering.
A warning. Something important was happening.
Something which would determine the fate of her and the girl both.
With a rattle and a creak, the carriage gave one last lurch, then fell still. She glanced at the driver, but his face was still obscured. Ominous.
When she looked up, it was to someone poking their head through the door. A new face. Soft and sweet. Youthful. A human child.
That was why she couldn't withhold a gasp at early startled when she first saw his ears. Round, but pointed at the tips.
She hadn't seen a half-human half-elf outside of textbooks. Such a thing was almost unheard of.
