She watched him set up the board, a bit confused. She didn't talk after a while because just thinking of her death made her shiver and feel uncomfortable.

"Finally! I can restore more of my genesis magic!" She celebrated, forgetting about her volume and the others here. Shoving the gem shard into her bag, she was just about to get up, until a voice came from behind her.

"Oh uh- ahem.." She lowered the hood on her head, trying to shield her face. "Just... Doing some research." She choked over her words.

She explained, stalling for a bit of time. "Oh, would you look at the time? I have to go, now! Haha...." She shuffled around awkwardly, hoping he would move.

Yumine looked down on their conversation. He couldn't really say much of anything because he wasn't there when it happened. His death didn't make much sense anyways.

Taking out the shard she chiselled from the stone, she began explaining. "I wasn't lying about this being my magic source. I don't usually pose a threat, but I do need my magic for personal reasons. As for you're request to help you look for something, I'm going to need you to explain." She spoke, showing off the little shard of the sorcerer's stone to him before placing it back in her bag.

“Hm, magical rocks. Eh, useless in the long run.” He noticed Kendo’s teleportation in and out of the room ’what in Celestia’s name was that’. He cleared his throat. “As for what I’m searching for, well. It would be best described as a little chess piece, you know what that is I’d assume?” He said, condescendingly. He was suddenly off put by Kendo coming back in. It took him a second to register what he had said, but then he broke from his calm, collected act “You- you’re using it for chess? Do you have any idea- Do you have any clue of the importance- Do you even know what it is?”

She wanted to tell him that she had one of what he was talking about, but surely there were more so that he wouldn't need to take the one she found? "Of course I know what chess is. I'm old, but I'm not that old. We had chess back in my era." She glanced back at the sorcerer's stone, and then to her wand, which had recharged from being near the magic source for so long. "As for the item your looking for, I... I have one of them. But, may I ask what they are? I've been sensing their magic for a while, now."
