He turned his head to look at her “well they look smarter than that little blue… thing” he muttered, then spoke up “You know what chess pieces look like, correct?”

The resistance received the latest Alpha newspaper (that someone stole a lot of) which had updates on Alpha activities, interesting news, but the headline questioning Alpha ranks was the most interesting. It was saying things like if the Alphas were having a war of their own. Yea let's hope the newspaper company doesn't get killed.
Gwen was reading the newspaper. A war in the Alpha ranks? It would raise a lot of questions.
Nathalie was reading the newspaper, especially the headline article. She was the one who sent the picture of the fighting alphas, and the news took it whatever direction they wanted.

Before she could leave the building, a dark hallway piqued her interest. "Such an ominous hallway for a place with a lot of foot traffic..." She entered the hall, her eyes adjusting to the lack of light.

Entering whatever doors were open, she felt as if she had been walking around forever, and yet found no traces of life. "I can feel the stone's energy, I must be getting close.

Finally, she reached a peculiar door. It didn't seem locked, and had a strange light peaking from under the crack. "Maybe it's a trap..." She contemplated for a moment, knowing this could full we'll be her end, but she was too far in. "Well, here we go..."

Slowly opening the door, she came face to face with her objective. "The sorcerer's stone! And..." Another smaller light caught her eye. Crouching to the floor, she picked up the object. "A chess piece...?"

Pocketing the strange device, she took out her chisel and began away at the stone. "I just need a small shard..."

Sophia went back to looking at herself in the mirror. She did miss the kids back at Camp Half-Blood. And she wasn't sure what the chess piece was or did. She wasn't interested in it anyway.

Scara heard a strange… tapping noise coming from Kendo’s room. Now, he had never been in there, but he could sense that Kendo was NOT in there (thank the Shogun), but someone WAS in there. He stood in the doorway “Now, what might you be doing?”
