The poor child on the floor. He was lost- all of them were. They'd woken up in some strange place, after being knocked unconscious.
Well, she could understand the feeling. When you were young, you couldn't block it out.
She touched her hair pin, relieved to find that it'd been put back in. "I'm glad," she said quietly, only half for his benefit. "Come on. I'll help you up."
She offered him her hand.

Akari stared at the woman blankly, not responding to a word she said. He clearly didn't accept her offer, as he slowly made his way up on his own. He hated physical contact, even though he could hardly feel the skin of the other's hand due to his gloves. He had his fingertips, yes, but not like they could feel much. They were hardened from his work, after all. The silence, the rejection, god the air was tense... So awkward...

Solaro glanced at the girl a few paces to her left. She had black, twisting hair and a somewhat analyzing look, which reminded her of someone scanning for a wound.

Oh. Well. Should I say something? Yes, make it less awkward. It will be a better situation if you speak.
"I'm glad you are strong enough to get up on your own," she stated. "That is a good sign. Hopefully, we can get all of us to the Nurse's Office soon. Head injuries may bring lasting damage."
"Wow, so you're all just gonna ignore me then. Huh. That's reaaaally mean. I can't imagine my old kiddins doing this to me! Actually, I can. They all sucked, like you losers."
Oh dear, it looked like a teddy bear had gone manical. Just how hard had she hit her head? It seemed like she needed sone medical care as well.
Behind her, Kubo stumbled to his feet. His presence made the hairs on her back stand up.
"A-Ah- where are we-?" he asked.
"Well then! I'll just ignore you all until somebody acknowledges me!" the bear crossed his arms, pouting.
Kaoru blinked. "Can.. everyone else see the talking bear?"

"Whoaaaa. Hey, am I dreaming? Who are you people? Is this the inside of a school? Or maybe a villain's secret lair? Ooh, or a candy shop!" They woozily sat up on their knees. "Hiiii, animated teddy bear! I love your appearance! I figured you'd be more orange and yellow for some reason. Kinda odd for a character from my dreams to look like this! Well, I mean, there's a first time for everything!"
[Lucian Arbred's POV]
Wait a minute... What was...
Voices, voices all around him. And if he wasn't delirious, there was a bear in here. An animated bear, of black and white. Slowly, it came to him, he took in his surroundings. He blacked out, so this might be a dream. Or maybe he was hallucinating. His eyes rotated about the room, trying to make sense of it.

Was that bear there the entire time? Guess that's where the annoying voice was coming from... She squinted her eyes when she looked at the bear, clearly not a fan of it. Mei didn't really want to acknowledge it in the first place... All she did was give a simple shrug and look away, in the direction of a somewhat interesting conversation between a guy who clearly didn't know what a washer was and a lady who seemed to have a slight outburst. Whatever, not her problem.

"...Yeah, thanks..." Was Akari's annoyingly simple reply, almost as if he wasn't paying attention in the slightest. He was, Akari was genuinely trying, he just didn't converse well with others.

Akari was used to it, he just brushed it off and turned his attention to the bear. He was already being called names, a new record... "Mean, huh..." he muttered under his breath.
His eyes scanned the small, black and white bear that stood before the group, slightly interested in it. The object had to be a robot or something, there was no other explanation. If it was a robot...
Akari walked up to the bear and knelt down to meet its height, immediately inspecting everything he could. He prodded at the eyes, tugged at the ears and limbs, tried moving it, everything. He couldn't find anything that would let him look inside, which disappointed him, but maybe if...

What a curious dream. They crawled over to tap the mysterious bear on the nose. "Hey, bear! Are you here to tell me about my epic destiny?" they asked.

Lucian studied the bear. Considering it's loud and rude behavior, whatever this thing was, he got the feeling it wasn't safe to approach. He wasn't so sure that others should be messing with it... If this was all real.

Hmmm. So the bear. The annoying gross brat. They were interacting.
"Hyahhhhh!" the bear screamed and threw the child to the ground. "NO TOUCHY THE BEAR!" It gave him a final stomp. "I AM YOUR HEADMASTER, SHOW SOME RESPECT!"
Kaoru made an aborted movement towards it. "H-hold on-" she stammered. "Just- everyone, calm down for a second. Bear, tell us your name. And get off of your friend."
The bear stopped. It smiled at her.
"Name's Monokuma! This here ain't my friend! He's my student! All of you are!"
A bear for a teacher. Hm, then.

Sawyer frowned. "Headmaster?! Oh!" They brightened suddenly. "I'm sorry, Sensei! What are you going to be teaching us? Magic, maybe?" They gasped. "Oh my gosh, please tell me I'll get to learn how to fly!"
It was disappointing they didn't even get to pet the bear, but if they could feel the illusion of flying in this dream!!--
They looked at Kaoru. "Heyy! Who are you, figment of my imagination?" Sawyer tilted their head.

"Please don't call me that," the girl said meekly. She glanced at the blue haired person. "I'm... Kaoru. Kajiwara. The Ultimate... Child Caretaker. I babysit... I suppose."
She shuffled her feet. "I apologize, sir, if I was too hasty- but- please, could you let him go? As your students, we need to have authority figures we can trust. Otherwise, we could be caught in a system of fear, never good for developing brains..."

The boy was quite shocked when he was suddenly thrown to the ground, his beanie a few inches away from where his head smacked the ground. Ouch... Now he had pain on the back of his head too? How cruel was this... He quickly grabbed his hat and threw it back on his messy long hair, brushing off his clothing like it was going to do anything. "Alright, fine... Sorry..." His apology was hollow and meaningless, he could honestly not give a damn about that bear, and that girl had already made him want to stay away from her.
Monokuma... It had a name? And its speech... Nothing about it sounded automated, it was talking like a regular human. Fascinating. He'd have to find a way to get to it later, if he didn't get preoccupied by something else first. He already knew he wasn't going to get distracted by these fools, they were too noisy, too annoying... Why couldn't they just shut up...

"Ooh, what a fun accent! I like them. I like that one." Sawyer laughed. "It's odd! It almost sounds like a very outdated way of speaking!" They adjusted their glasses. "Maybe they're a fan of it of some kind.. I'll have to ask. Ouch, that was some nice acting though!"
They turned to Kaoru. "Oh! I'm sorry! I forgot. Dream characters sometimes act like real people... Nice to meet you! I'm Sawyer Laurens, the Ultimate Loremaster! You take care of kids?"

Lucian, on the other hand, while worrying about the glasses-wearer's sanity, headed over to check if Horatia was breathing. If this bear was real... It was certainly alarming. "...you okay?" he asked quietly.

"Yes," Kaoru said quietly. "At least I did, before we arrived here..." Her eyes took on a distant look. Maybe that meant something. Maybe something had happened that had changed that "caretaking" aspect entirely.
Or maybe she had a concussion. Who knew.
"Now that's more like it!" Monokuma chirped. He ignored them all, strutting with his full two feet of height, through the congregated children before leaping onto a stage. He clapped his paws. "Well then! Welcome one and all, to the super awesome killing game experience!"
He paused. "Yeaaahhh, thay was too sudden. Not enough build up or delivery. Hopefully your reactions make it worth it."
"K-Killing Game?" Kubo stammered. "W-What's that supposed to mean?"
"Ohhhh, there we are~ that's the sweet spot. The initial denial."

Sawyer gasped out loud, eyes widening, hands clapped over their mouth. "Oh my gosh... Wait, you mean--" They stood up. "WE'RE GETTING TRAINED FOR THE HUNGER GAMES?! THIS IS SO FRICKING COOL! I've always wondered what those books were like in real life!"

Lucian froze. Maybe they did need him here after all.
"...what does that mean?" he asked, raising his hand. "Headmaster. Sir."
He turned to look over at Sawyer. What was with their reaction to this?! Did they think this was some kind of joke?
Maybe it was. Maybe he was missing something.

"Sure, sure, killing game." Monokuma waved it off with a flippant paw. "Hunger Games works. Anyway, depending on y'all's trauma levels, anywhere from 12 to 17 of you are gonna die. Whoopee, we got that outta the way."
"Huh." Kubo seemed to be thinking. "Concussions, g-guys..It's- confirmed."
"I assure you, I am not play acting." Monokuma smiled, something horrible that split its face right down the middle. "Teaching is serious to me! I would never make fun of my cute little students with something as silly as 'drama'. Tsk tsk."

"Wait, this is my imagination. Or uh, a dream... So, why am I caring about my physical fitness? That doesn't matter, anything is possible," they muttered to themselves. They turned to look at the bear. "Can I tap your nose again? Pleaseeee?"

"What do you mean?" Lucian was confused. What kind of school would... Kill its students? What did this mean? Was he dreaming about the school he was going to enter? SOME dream!
Lucian couldn't help but appreciate that girl's comment. Drama class. He almost laughed. It was hard to take this... Bear thing seriously.
