Niwa Atsushi

Someone was screaming. It was him, voice ripping, lungs tearing, everything just coming out in a stream of pure terror.

He clutched Keiki's body as it slowly slumped to the ground. "No!" he gasped. "Nonono- this wasn't how it was supposed to happen-" he coughed choking on the words, grasping Keiki's face and looking at their eyes-

"NO!" he screamed.

Their entire face had been blown out. Those beautiful features Keiki had bragged about. This precious jewel of a person- shaped and made just for him-

Oh, something must've happened. This was bad. This was so very bad. Niwa needed to help Keiki. He needed to help.

He tipped his head back and screamed at the ceiling at the top of his lungs. Tears streamed down his face. He grinned through them, seeing the ceiling light reflecting back at him.

Oh, oh, Keiki, what've you done? I can't fix this mess. You're innocent, so you don't know my power. But I promise you, I promise you, I can't fix this. So you have to come back. You know now, so you have to come back. You said you love me. You don't want to leave me.

Oh, oh.

Blood was all over his hands.

Keiki's blood.

The most precious blood in the world.

He screamed, because he no longer had any words to bargain with. Pain was the final negotiation. I'M HURTING DON'T DO THIS KEIKI, COME BACK COME BACK COME BACK OR ELSE I'LL KILL THEM ALL, I'LL KILL THEM, COME BACK COME BACK COME BACK-

COME- back?

Have you gone somewhere...Keiki?

Title: Maji

Despite everything, despite how horrible he'd been, I couldn't help crying a few of his tears myself. So many relationships, all split and fractured. I slowly walked to where the gun had dropped, looked at the figure on the floor, and made a decision.

Third Person POV

Niwa looked up from Keiki at Maji. Tears and snot were streaming down his reddened face. His mouth formed around one word. "Please," he begged. "Please."

"Don't kill me. Don't kill me."

"I'm-" he gasped. "The hero..."

Narrator

Carnage surrounded the three Ultimates. Koda, Chuku, and Majikaruman, the survivors of Kowai and Niwa's twisted killing game. They were alone, silent. The gun was discarded on the floor, never to be touched again.

The door opened. Sunlight reflected off of Niwa's purple hair. Keiki's brown. Nakata's ginger. Suzume's blue. Four dead.

And three left to live with that.

Their secrets were out.

The world was waiting for them. Their truths with them.

Majikaruman Epilogue
I walked silently out the door, unable to process what had just happened. I was on autopilot as I walked to the bank. I was on autopilot as I withdrew money from an account that had sat untouched for months. I was on autopilot as I cancelled all my future shows and booked a plane ticket. I was crying as I sat on the floor of my new, yet-to-be-furnished apartment, finally taking in the past few months of pain. It wasn't until a decade later that I knew what to do with my life. After a decade of living on autopilot, of silently eating and sleeping and doing grocery runs, I made up my mind. Thanks to my Hope's Peak degree, I got a job as a teacher. I smiled in pain as I learned about teaching through firsthand experience. I smiled in flusterment as I made eye contact with the cute new guidance counsellor, and showed him around. I smiled in happiness as we walked to the adoption center, and came back with newfound family.

Tem
Wow. These past 10 months (10 MONTHS!) have been amazing and insane. So much has happened, our characters and ideas have changed so much. Buraddo alone had a complete 180 from their planned static character arc. Maji was never planned to develop, and apparently neither was Hisoka. Now, here we are. I can't put into words how much I love this roleplay, and how much it's done for me. I'm really excited going into Blood and Water, and I hope I can deliver an enjoyable character in Futatabi, and for those of you who are only here as of Blood and Water, I really hope you enjoy roleplaying here! The people are amazing, and the story is rich. Good luck to all of you, and thank you for an amazing time.

Sabaibā Mitsue│Epilogue.

She winced at the sound of the gun going off one last time.

Sabaibā glanced to her left as purple hair hit the ground with a muted thud. She watched crimson blood stain olive skin, watched it creep over red eyes and trickle down pale lips. A killer's death. So beautiful.

Keiki. Suzume. Nakata. Niwa.

She sighed, glancing at Majikuraman before he left the Academy.

"Goodbye, Maji. Good luck with life." She whispered towards him.

She tiptoed past the pools of blood, Keiki's and Niwa's mingling in one last romantic effort.

Sabaibā paused at Nakata's cold, dead body. She remembered the little conversation they had whilst at the beach. She smiled sadly.

"Goodbye Nakata." She whispered softly. She shut Nakata's eyelids and wrapped the girl in her scarf.

"It's the least I can do. You don't deserve to die. Niwa was no hero. I wish you knew that."

Sabaibā stood up.

"Time...to leave."

A few years later.

Sabaibā Mitsue went back to her old modelling career under a new name. She became hugely successful and started her own clothes brand. She named it after the one person who she trusted most to tell her secret.

Hisoka.

The 'Hisoka' brand became very popular quickly, and was well-known for its famous use of the colours amber and ruby. Strangely, the colour purple was avoided completely. Sabaibā adopted a young baby girl, who she named Nakata and raised for the rest of her life.

A few words from the Goblin.

Wow. Just wow. 10 months of my life...wasted.

I'm just joking! I swear- lmao. Seriously, it's been a bomb. This RP has really been....so, so amazing. Honestly.

I've developed Keiki so much, and also developed a hatred towards Niwa. Sorry, Serendibite. You understand, right?

And now Sabaibā....wow. I really did not give her enough screen time did I- I'm sorry. She deserved to be a survivor.

But Keiki's death....oof. That hits right in the feels. Makes me wanna shed a few tears.

I can't believe it's over, and I kinda wish it wasn't over. But sadly, all things must come to an end, right?

Thank you so much, I love you all and Game 2 better be a bomb or else I'm suing.

I'm joking.

Kinda.

Koda fled in an instant, seeking those of her remaining kin. Upon finding long-lost friends she’d live a less feral life for several years, regularly traveling to the forest. She had two children, both of which strong, healthy girls. One of which had hair of fire, the other with hair like the night sky - black, dark.

Kaoru Kajiwara

My name is Kaoru Kajiwara. I am the Ultimate Child Caretaker.

She ran through it. Simple and to the point. Open, inviting people to trust her. Available to form bonds, not a target. Your friend or the person who sat in the back of your class- you could make your choice.

But it didn't work. Not quite. It was too lifeless. Too empty.

With her breath in one hand, and her student id clutched in the other, Kaoru stood in front of Hope's Peak Academy. Wind inhaled, stirring her pin, then exhaled, rattling the trees towering overhead. Each shake opened up the sky further- a gaping mouth, sucking in all people who ignored its whistle.

"I hear you," she murmured. "You are mine, and I am yours."

Kaoru swiped her ID through the scanner. The lock released with a click, her own face flashing over the screen. Kaoru, Kajiwara it said. #ID101. The Ultimate Child Caretaker.

Yeah, right.

She pushed the gate open. It sang in tune with the wind- a whole world of noise, a whole person of screams. The crunch of those broken branches behind you. Everything swirled together, a cacophony of noise, delivering one message alone.

Behind you.

Kaoru whipped around.

Something bashed into the side of her skull.

The ground met her. Some kind of pain was going on in the back of her head. And her eyes- Oh, oh, she couldn't see very well. Black skittered over her face. She could see her nose. Was that blood?

She stared at her pin. An ant ran over it. One last caress. One last person saying "I'll miss you."

The Ultimate Child Caretaker. Your killer, your lover, your friend. Is there where she will die?

I don't really mind that. And without seeing the person crouching over her, she slipped into unconsciousness.

Sawyer Laurens's POV

[Now playing: Polyanna - I Believe In You - Earthbound 0:01-3:41]

A very joyful person, with a skip in their step, made their way to Hope's Peak Academy. It was their first day here, and they felt like jumping up and down, but they had to run!

"Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh," they half-squealed, half-panted to themself. "I bet I'll make all sorts of new friends, and I'll graduate top of my class or something!! I wonder if they'll have any really neat clubs here? It's going to be amazing!"

Finally, they stopped at the gate, shaking all over with their eagerness.

"Oh, where is it?! Where is it?" They searched their all-too-cluttered bag for their ID. I knew I should've organized it better! Oh, well, I'll find it! And so they did!

"Aaa, there it is!" #ID797. The Ultimate Loremaster.

They swiped their card through the scanner, failing a bit at first, almost dropping the card in a puddle. "Oh my goodness, this is my first step here! My first step! I wonder if anyone there has seen the latest Star Wars film?..."

But as they stepped through the gate, they felt a little lightheaded. This was odd! Maybe it was because they only had a smoothie for breakfast?

But they began to feel all too dizzy, and hurtled to the ground...

Lucian Arbred's POV

[Now playing: Self-Inflincted Achromatic 0:01-4:03]

"..."

Lucian held his ID in-between his fingers, as he approached the gate of the academy. He wasn't all too sure what to hope for.

#ID414. The Ultimate Therapist.

He imagined he might be of some kind of help to people at this place, though. It could be nice.

You couldn't hope for too much, though, and he told himself this at the same time.

The quiet teenager made his way to the scanner, and swiped it. Maybe this would be a good experience... who knew?

Maybe it'd be bad.

But he had no time to contemplate his circumstances, as all too suddenly... he blacked out...

Solaro ran over to the gates of Hopes Peak Academy. Wows. She thought, blinking at the school.

She pulled her card out of her pocket and swiped it in the card scanner. Now it said #ID538 The Ultimate Singer.

Solaro stepped in, as her head began to feel light, an odd sensation. She crumpled to the ground suddenly.

Akora Menx

Akora flattened herself slightly as she walked into the school, almost tripping over her feet. "So clumsy. Why is it only in operations I am not?" Akora grumbled unhappily to herself.

At the gate, she pulled out her card, and scanned it. #ID243 The Ultimate Veterinarian.

Idris Kallikrates

A pale hand swept thick black curls of hair back. The hand was slightly shaking. Then they slipped into their usual spot in jean pockets.

"Oh boy." A voice whispered, the small hints of an accent. Hard to detect where from, though.

"Hope's Peak Academy....such a dumb name for a school. Hope? Hope for what? Hope to get out of here as quickly as possible?" The sharp voice hissed.

"Hopefully my stay will be brief and short. I hate class."

They cursed. "Where the-" The voice stopped to briefly curse, "-is my ID?"

"Now that this is over and done with-" Idris was cut short.

They smiled. A new Academy. A new start. Free from the past. Away from friends and family. Not that they had many anyway.

Saeko Katsumi : ID #444 | Ultimate Muscian

"I'm so gonna look forward to this-" They whispered happily, white hair floating in the breeze.

"I'm gonna have so much fun, I'm gonna meet new people, we'll get along, and I-"

Setsuna Jun

"Oooh...boy-" Setsuna whispered nervously.

"Hope's Peak Academy- eh? Gonna be...a hell of a lotta new people. People." He shuddered. "Social interactions, you love 'em, you hate 'em....I hate 'em. So much. This will be hell."

He quickly swiped his ID.

Setsuna Jun : ID#013 | Ultimate Dictionary

Kubo Atsushi

"I don't know what they want." Kubo raked his nails over his hands. Blood beaded up, spreading over the skin. He jabbed his hand into his pocket, and brought the other up to his mouth.

He gnawed on it, already tasting blood. "I don't know what they want, I don't know what they WANT!" His teeth sank into the flesh of his fingers. He closed his eyes against the sensation. "Nobody knows. I don't know, they don't know. We're all fine. We're all going to Hope's Peak."

Oh. Right. Hope's Peak.

He blinked his eyes open.

Right right. He was here, at the academy. He'd been planning for this all morning.

This was where he'd make friends. Where he'd see Kaoru again.

He looked for his hand once more, but it was in his pocket. And in his pocket, he had his ID. He needed that to check into the gate.

"Gate. Gate, gate..." He ran his hand over the screen.

Panic attack was over. He inserted it. #ID237.

How perfect. Safe, where he'd be reintegrated into society. He could have friends here. And Kaoru could too. This would all be fine now.

Kubo Atsushi. The Ultimate Detective.

What a nice title. Nobody would judge him for it...

His nails dug into his palm. He pushed the gate with his free hand. It opened easy. Not a creak to be heard.

He smiled and continued through.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

...Huh.

So this was "Hope's Peak"? Sounds dumb... Looked even dumber. Who the hell would even need a school this extravagant anyways? It was a goddamn school, nobody needed this... What, did 1 too many snobby rich kids complain that their high school wasn't "exquisite" and "fancy" enough? Ugh... The longer she looked at the large building, the more she wanted to gag, run away, whatever to show her disgust for whatever this was. Then again, the more she looked at it, the more hilarious jokes came to mind. What an odd feeling... Joking about something that made you sick to the stomach... Whatever, she was here now, she'd be stupid to turn back. Sure, she was already set financially due to her success, but something about education and "her plans for the future" or whatever made her feel obligated to go. Besides, not like Mei could turn down something she was practically forced into. She'd been invited here after one of her biggest matches yet was recognized, and the letter she received wasn't exactly... friendly. Ugh.

Mei stood before the gates of Hell, the only thing she saw this place as, and pulled out her ID card. She had fiddled with it on her walk here, accidentally cutting herself on the clasps she had loosened. How she managed to do that, Mei did not know, but she was fine with it nonetheless. She stared at the finger cradling a bead of crimson, staring back at the purple-haired student like it was taunting her. She lifted her finger to her lips, gently licking the blood off of it. Yum.

Anyone unfortunate to watch would've probably been a little grossed out, but Mei didn't care. She just cared about having a little fun. Not like this school would do anything to help with that, so she already made the decision to brute force the fun. She could do that, right?

With her hopes low, and her motivation even lower, she took the first reluctant step forwards to the school that awaited her.

Mei Akamatsu : ID#420 | Ultimate Gambler

Yup, that's what it read on her card. The same card she had to show to gain access to the building. How annoying, the lanyard was kinda itchy...

What was even more annoying was the fact that she got a blow straight to the back of her head, one that she knew was coming, but too slow to react to. Ugh... Why'd they have to be so sneaky about it? If they wanted her unconscious, they could've just told her, she would just find a shady spot to lie down in and fall asleep. She woke up way too early for this, she much preferred sleeping over getting a giant knot on her head. Oh well.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Well this was... Grander than he originally thought. The building was large, obviously well-kept, and the architecture was pretty damn cool. Akari had always been a sucker for those kinds of things, even if he didn't show any interest in anything. There was hardly any people here either, perfect. Yeah, sure, it was a little suspicious that the courtyard wasn't bustling with students, but he was fine with it. Besides, Akari had heard that this place was reserved only for Ultimates, those who perfected their craft and reached the top, and he bet it was pretty damn hard to get a hold of a large group of them.

Akari didn't see himself deserving to be one of the people here, he was filthy and poor, working in his dad's old shed to barely scrape by. His clothes were constantly covered in filth and grease, the fingerless gloves he dearly cherished ripped at the tips. Sure, he definitely took pride in his work, but it wasn't nearly as good as what everyone else here had accomplished. All the students going here had actually done something worthwhile, they contributed to society. Hell, one of them was a time traveler for heaven's sake! He hadn't done anything, not anything worth noticing at least. He was a nobody, his name only known to his clients. How he got here, he was unsure, but might as well make the most of it...

Akari Xenauta : ID#924 | Ultimate Engineer

He felt slightly proud of himself for doing the minimal amount of research for his fellow classmates, even if his face said "kill me now". He at least knew a bit more about everyone, everyone he should stay away from. That list contained... Pretty much everyone, honestly, but that got him through life better than most other tactics. He was fine being alone most of the year, he had nothing to say anyways. He'd bet no one would talk to him in the first place anyways, they had better things to do.

Akari took his first steps into the school, only to be met with something coming right at his face. Of course, it hit him, knocking the poor guy out instantly. This was gonna be fun, wasn't it...

"Is everyone awake?" a feminine voice asked.

Kubo buried his face into a knot on the flooring. He groaned into it. His head was killing him. The whole world could bite itself at this point.

Hmm... wait...

"Kaoru?" he muttered, raising his head.

Kaoru was standing over some... boy. His clothes were absolutely filthy. "Are you okay?" she whispered over the street rat. Why was he here? Why was anyone here? Ah, right- school. Hope's Peak Academy.

That brought him back to his senses.

"Wait- were we all knocked unconscious? At the foot of- of our s-school?" He shook his head, trying to clear the fog. "Whaaaz- going on? Where are we?"

"Puhuhuhu- if everyone's awake, I may have answers to those silly questions of yours."

Oh God... That really didn't feel great. She could definitely feel that knot on her head. She slowly go up as soon as she heard voices, looking around for whoever spoke. Mei rubbed the back of her head and yawned, her tiredness still there. She decided that she wouldn't do anything for now, only collect valuable info and that's it. She had no need to speak, she'd let everyone do it for her. Mei's focus was on the annoying voice that surrounded her anyways, one that didn't belong to anyone in the room, not yet at least.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

...Hm? Was that voice... talking to him? Akari slowly opened his heavy eyelids, wincing at the pain that filled his forehead. His eyes wandered around, trying to locate the voice, but the search was unsuccessful. Not from this position at least. Ugh... Fine, he'll get up from this oddly comfortable floor and actually do something. After a few moments of searching, his gold and chocolate eyes finally laid upon the voice. The Ultimate Child Caretaker, Kaoru Kajiwara. "Yeah... I guess..." His voice was low and hoarse, barely audible.
