Advent Calendar Drawing Contest

Welcome one and all!
This year's Advent Calendar Drawing Contest is about to start!
Another year is drawing [get it?] to a close yet again, and what a weird year it's been. Let's hope we can go outside and enjoy a normal life again soon, but know that PokéHeroes traditions won't change! So prepare for another, wonderful advent calendar drawing contest! These themes were decided by your votes, so I hope you get struck by inspiration. Prepare yourself a lovely cup of hot chocolate, take your digital drawing supplies and let your fingers fly. It's time to get creative!

As some of you might already know, each December has an Advent Calendar. Every day, every user will have 24 doors, one for each day leading up to Christmas, with a small task and a reward waiting! If you manage to open each door through the task, you might even win a big prize!

Every year, we've been blessed with wonderful backgrounds and there's no reason that this year should be any different. There's just no going back to the same monotonous blue background on the Advent-page with all its doors. Which is exactly why we're organising this contest for all the wonderful artists lurking in every crook and cranny, waiting for their opportunity!

Reward
Drawing itself can be entertaining, drawing with a chance to win something, adds that little edge of excitement. Aside from the wonderful feeling of winning, the five best designs will, as every year, be available as a background for everyone's calendar. They will also get their pick of any shiny Advent pokémon, that has been released so far [legendary excluded].
Currently available Advent pokémon: Snowling, Santa Bird, Skugar, Frosty Kecleon, Pachirisnow, Gooseboarder, Woopice, Rudolph, Unown Flake
Anyone else who joined/qualified, but just missed out on the big prize, will get a participation prize as thanks for joining. You'll have to wait and see [and join] to know what it is ;)

Artwork Requirements
Accepted File Types: .PNG .JPEG .JPG
Image Size: 650 x 1000 px (width x height)
Artwork Type: Digital, no transparency [final product]
Artwork Design: Enjoy yourself! This year you get to pick between "Nightmare before Christmas" and "Krampus vs. Santa". How do the pokémon change Halloween town into Christmas town? Maybe the pokémon dress up as Krampus and run around scaring other pokémon or maybe your pokémon are seeing Krampus in Christmas town. Let your creativity flow free and I'm sure you'll think of something awesome!
[As this gets asked every year - yes, PokéSonas/OCs count as pokémon]
File Upload: Please upload it to a website that doesn't delete it within the next 30 days and allows third-party viewing. (Recommended: tinypic.com, imgur.com)
Copyright: The artwork has to be drawn completely by you. You are not allowed to include images from other artists, including official art. Entries from previous years also can't be (re)submitted, even if it would still fit the theme somehow.

How to Enter

Different from the past years, based on the poll on my user page, entries should be sent through PM to CatLady. Put "Advent Calendar Contest Entry" as the subject [without "]. Even if you have several entries, please don't change the title. I'll be able to see that you have several drawings (;

Also post a message saying "Entry/Entries submitted", indicating the number of drawings you submitted. This will help me keep track of who entered, without drowning in my PM-inbox ^^

Deadline
The deadline is November 19th, 23:59.
The winners will be chosen by us, the staff, based on quality.
The results will be revealed on the 1st of December.

Please keep SPAM posts out of this thread :)

Visual aid for the size :
[about 10x bigger]

Most important of all, though, I hope you all HAVE FUN~

"Nightmare before Christmas" is (technically) a Christmas movie, where Jack Skellinton gets intrigued and wants to change his hometown [Halloween Town] into a close approximation of Christmas Town so he can play at being Santa.

Krampus is the evil helper [in a sense] of Santa Claus. He takes care of the kids who misbehaved.

If you're on a computer, I'd suggest downloading Fire Alpaca, it's free and has a lot of good tools

If you're on phone, I'd recommend ibisPaint X, it has some ads but it's free & pretty easy to use

Can the drawing be hand-drawn and then scanned and uploaded?

That's actually answered in the first post ^^'
It needs to be digital, which means no scan.

@DannyDewgong252 - that's up to you! There are a variety of programs out there. My personal suggestion for beginners, or just for people who don't want to buy a program, is FireAlpaca. It's a free download and a very nice program I've used for years.

If you have extra money and you wanted to invest in a program, I also suggest these: Paint Tool SAI (one time purchase), Clip Studio Paint (also one time purchase? Pretty sure this one you also have to pay for), or Photoshop (subscription - what I do most of my work on these days). Hope this helps! :)

Im going to use a canvas size that's bigger than the size you told us to use (but has the same length:width ratio) to make the image slightly less pixelated. Will I have to resize the image before I submit it?
