The SS School for Shapeshifters
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → The SS School for ShapeshiftersLuna always liked Japanese last names, like Kyong, Lee, Hitorisho, and more. She was always fascinated about how well they were put together.
His hand unconsciously went to his mouth and he began to gnaw at the few remaining nails that remained. "Reminds me a little... of like, Vincent... something... pretty. Beautiful." There was a faint glitter in his eyes that was quickly muffed out. "Yeah, that sort of thing. I like it."
Luna thought these people were great.
Luna would've forgotten her room, like many other things. She would also get agitated with this flaw, but she had succeeded in not embarrassing herself... again.
Adrik briefly reconsidered the thought of transferring to another school-
Oh, screw it, he'd manage to fail in some aspect regardless of the place he attended. Adrik sighed and flopped back against the seats in the row ahead. Great job, genius.
The lights of the room were piercing his eyes. He had a headache. He had to ask (again) for a piece of paper that he had lost, due completely to his own inadequacy. Well, wasn't this just peachy? For someone ridiculously organized, he still managed to fail in some aspect.
How will you ever make up for it now?
His teeth ground together.
Shut up.
But the voice continued, taunting him. How could he do anything? He couldn't even manage relationships with other people- he couldn't even manage his own schoolwork- everything would just come crumbling down one day and he would lose even more and then he would just-
No. He relaxed. His jaw went slack.
He didn't need to think of that. He hadn't failed- this didn't need to be anything-
Just a setback. That's all he had to see it as. Just... a small... setback... he... didn't...
Adrik pushed himself off the floor and brushed off his pants. He caught sight of his backpack and grabbed it, hooking it onto his shoulder... not realizing he'd left it unzipped. He just had to get to the office now. Get his room. And set up camp. Where were his new friend's rooms again-?
His mind drew a blank. Great. So much for a good memory, huh?
He could ask later, at classes. This didn't have to be anything either.
Adrik walked across the room, took a hold of the handle- turned it- and then hesitated. Was he forgetting something? He glanced backward. The high-born looking fellow was still sitting there. The teacher was gone. He shrugged it off. Oh well, he might remember later. He went through the door, shutting it softly behind him.
He made his way to the office.
Working quickly, Haruto drew all the curtains shut and locked all the doors, making sure that it was damaged near impossible to even catch a glimpse of the ongoing inside the room. When he was satisfied that no one would be spying on him, he began to unpack. Gingerly, he set down his luggage and opened up his most sacred treasure. There, nestled in between clothes and bedding, cushioned between soft silks and heavy down was a box of willow wood. Carved depictions of a colony of bats flying over a cliff overseeing the raging sea and the Liu family crest were emblazoned on the surface of the wood and the edges were lined with obsidian. It was a beauty, costing well over a fortune to produce. With a sweep of the finger over the crest, the box unlocked with a sharp pinch on his finger and a dull click.
Inside was a stack of letters. All written by his darling sister and tucked away into the soft pkush velvet which lined he case. To Haruto, those letters were the most precious thing in the box, the luscious bat pelt which the case was meant to contain a insignificant pile of mud in comparison. Holding the letters close, Haruto pucked out the envelope labeled Day 1 and locked the case again. Sitting down at the desk, Haruto carefully opened the fragile package, careful to not damage anything, before beginning to read.
"Hello?" he asked aloud.
