80% of the world's population has been granted a "quirk", a sort of supernatural ability that can give the wielder shocking power, or a simple ability that will help them in day to day life.
When quirks first started manifesting, then those born with power began to seek more. People became fearful, scared, of these monsters. But then, people with such powers stepped forward. They chose to become Heroes, saviours straight out of the comic books.
You have the unique chance to be born into the turning point of this world of heroes and villains and choose your path. You can be a hero, fighting the bad guys, protecting the innocent. You can be a monstrous villain, destroying everything in your path and obtaining power beyond anyone's dreams. You could be in between.
The world is your oyster. Everything is your choice to make. Now, go forth, and choose your path.

1. Most PH rules apply. Minor swearing permitted.
2. Characters must be balanced. They may be as powerful as you like, but above all, they must be a fairly flawed person and not an idealized form.
3. In this world, there is no All Might or Symbol of Peace. All of the canonical events are erased, and only the world is left behind. Do not make your characters related to or mention a character from canon. "Deku's cousin", "Mt. Lady's Sister", etc. etc.
4. Do not control other's characters. You have your own characters for a reason. Characters will only make their choices under the person whom they belong to. Example: Example lunged forward, her fist at the ready to punch Example2 and relished in his squeak of fear. The person controlling Example cannot make Example2 squeak in fear. It is up to Example2's roleplayer to make that call of what Example2 will do.
5. In fight scenes, then you must never powerplay. You must always give the other character a chance to fight back. Such as: Example punched Example2 in the nose and then kicked him in the side. The person controlling Example should realize that Example2 would react after being punched in the nose. Example2 would not wait to be kicked in the side and that should be respected in order to keep the fight fair. It's alright if you mess up on this rule sometimes, but at least try to keep it in mind.
6. Try to keep your characters relatively consistent. They can change over time, of course, but the change shouldn't come out of nowhere.
7. Paragraph style and third person is preferred but not required.. This means that you will write your posts like a book. Such as- ("Hello," she said. "It's nice to meet you." She held out her hand for a handshake.) opposed to (Hello *I said*.)
8. If you are going out of character, then please put it in brackets. It can be confusing otherwise.

Name: Adrik Volkov. [Villain Name: Mouse.]
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Quirk: [Paint] Paint has the ability to touch any object and change the shade to whichever the one using it chooses. It lasts for several hours and cannot be changed during that time. If, however, the user uses his quirk on a person, even himself, then he can make the shade clear, and render the person invisible. This is why he is a little bit terrifying to fight, particularly because you don't know where he will appear. This ability can be a weakness however...
Affiliation: Villain
Personality: Adrik's a friendly, down-to-earth person who's all about befriending others and making them as happy and comfortable as possible. This has developed in an unhealthy way, as he is so about pleasing others that he bends to the will of those who treat him kindly. He attaches resolutely to those who give him the time of day, and will fight to make that person's will come true no matter the cost. Specifically, in this case, The Grand Chessmaster, a frightening villain who works behind the scenes. Adrik will fight for his cause, with no regard for what it does to himself personally. None. Sometimes, willingness to sacrifice oneself for others can be a bad thing... Particularly when you're mixed up in the world of villains.

History: Adrik was born to an unnamed couple in a small town in Russia. At the age of four, he had shown no quirk and was considered quirkless, which promoted bullying from the children at his school, and disappointment from his parents, one of whom was a hero. He aced most examinations that tested your mind, his determination to prove that he could be competent to his parents sending him on many studious spirals. Soon enough, due to the constant studying, he ended up pale and sickly, sleep-deprived and mentally drained beyond compare. This promoted further bullying. Eventually he came to recognize his bullies. One time, while a boy was coming towards him, hand raised to punch Adrik- he lifted his hands to his face to shield himself. And then he heard shocked cries around him. He looked up, wondering about the commotion. He had turned invisible. Vanished. He wasn't quirkless after all. His newfound skill impressed everybody. His parents, now divorced, did not care much, since they both had new lives and new children. But for the first time, Adrik was happy. But he could never make friends. As he grew older, his high grades and strange abilities seemed to drive others away from him. He resorted to stalking people to discover how to befriend them, and that merely earned him a bad reputation. Lonely, he swore that one day he would become so famous that no one could possibly ignore him. He enrolled in a hero's school in Japan, and there he met a villain, disguised as a student in training, who introduced him to The Grand Chessmaster. Adrik was instantly taken in by Tsuji's kind words and delicate etiquette and began to look up to him, far beyond what he should. The Grand Chessmaster drew Adrik into his organization, and Adrik was only too happy to comply. Adrik was assigned the Villain name "Mouse" and is one of The Grand Chessmaster's loyal followers. Only time will tell what Tsuji Katsumi wants with him...

Name: Tsuji Katsumi or The Chess Grandmaster
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Quirk: [Soul Sucker] He has the ability to suck the souls from people for as long as they uphold a conversation. It takes several minutes of words from the victim, but then, Tsuji can suck out their entire soul and they will die, unable to do anything to save themself. This is frightening in and out of itself, but the things he does with the souls is even worse... who knows what this monster has in mind?
Affiliation: Villain.
Personality: A polite and charismatic fellow with a silver tongue and a sweet high-pitched voice which gives off the impression of a schoolboy. He's always smiling and friendly. But, anger him, and he'll do a complete 180. If he senses injustice, which he often does, even when it isn't there, he'll become furious. And then you'll be dead. He's obsessed with the flaws of the hero society and longs to drag all heroes off their pedestals. If anyone opposes him, friend or not, he will crush them in his grasp. This isn't to say that he's a complete monster, though. He's kind to those who are weak and in need of help, and cares and protects for those who are on his side. He's also an excellent strategist, who excells at chess and other strategy related games. It's almost frightening- when he plays at chess, his polite demeanor changes yet again. He becomes cold, unlistening. And then he crushes you. This strange boy... how did he become a villain at such a young age? And what is his ultimate goal that he's been planning for so long?

History: His past remains unknown. He's the leader of an organization who sleeps in the shadows, attacking heroes and villains alike. Adrik Volkov or Mouse serves under him with many other people, each given the alias of an animal that symbolizes their role in Tsuji's story. Tsuji Katsumi attends a Private School and is the picture of a perfect student. At night, he is The Chess Grandmaster, a cunning strategist who has many, many plans for the world he wishes to mold as his own... Which one is more frightening, do you think?

Name: Tashiro Shinju
Gender: Genderfluid, she/her, he/him.
Age: 28
Quirk: [Time Loop] Tashiro has the unique ability to pause time of anything she touches. This way, she can stop the creation of new cells... and in doing so, that one part will begin to disintegrate as old cells are killed, a process which she can accelerate. She merely needs to touch someone and all cell production will stop. And the person will, in fact, die. She can also pause time of her general vicinity, enabling her to escape serious situations for several seconds, or prepare a deadly attack.
Affiliation: Villain
Personality: A chirpy, sweet, playful person with a rather morbid sense of humor. She appears very motherly and caring about young ones, at first glance. However, on second glance, he's horribly cruel and takes the phrase "The Strong survive, and The Weak die off" far more literally than he should. Anyone who isn't strong... must die at his own hands. She refers to herself as "Tashi" in her moments of true insanity, and oftentimes dissolves into giggles and non-sensical words. Under his personal guise, he takes on "bodyguards" whom he brutally murders upon discovering a weakness in them, or himself. Most of this is due to the fact that she has Depersonalization Derealization Disorder and finds its quite easy to do anything regardless of any morals she has been taught from childhood. Truly someone who should not be messed with... Especially with the constantly fluctuating mental state.

Name: Yumi Iwasaki (The Plant Hero)
Gender: Female
Age: 37
Quirk: [Carbon] Yumi has the very unhelpful ability of excreting carbon dioxide- Whenever she's still, her skin will continually get rid of it through her skin instead of her lungs. She's tried again and again to use the ability- to no avail. The only benefit is possible dizziness to any enemy who incidentally inhales it- She utilizes it through her hero costume, which condenses it into a gas capable of causing burns. Not a strong hero, but a tough one.
Affiliation: Hero
Personality: A stern woman with a dislike of those who fail to follow the rules of society- you do what you do and you don't do what you don't do. Villains should be executed. Traitors should be punished. Those who fail to protect the innocent should not be considered heroes. And yet, she is brave and courageous- she'd lunge into a burning building for a child, despite her own weak quirk. People must protect one another- she believes that from the depth of her soul. It is the duty of the strong to care for the weak. And while she dislikes those who differ from her views- she'll give up a grudging respect when they display any form of courage.

[] Outfit: She's rarely seen outside her uniform. What on earth could she wear outside her normal hours? [Spoiler Alert: She wears a sleep-form of her uniform to bed and replaces her hero outfit with multiple duplicates upon waking up. (Hero/Villain Outfit: Generally, her outfit is simplistic at best. A white t-shirt topped with a long brown trench coat. It appears strangely bulky on her- and for good reason. A work of technology- magic perhaps- arches over her body, absorbing the carbon dioxide her skin exudes. It looks a bit like a network of veins- arching over her, connected to the bands she wears on her arms. She wears high-waist jeans. Not the most heroic looking outfit- but certainly one that does its job.)

Age: 26 Years
Quirk: Kan's Quirk is called Eye-Spy! They can see anything, anywhere, within any radius. However, although there are no setbacks to this Quirk, there is the setback that when Kan is looking somewhere very far away, they lose their ability to see anything close by. The more Kan limits the ability, the more exceptional their vision is. If that makes sense? Anyway, as you can probably imagine, they've trained themselves to be a swift, athletic, and agile hero due to the fact that their Quirk has no real physical elements to it. Kan never made it into UA due to the nature of the exam, but they still managed to graduate from another school and become a hero.
Affiliation: (Hero/Villain/Civilian): Hero!
Personality: Kan is a good-intentioned individual who deeply cares for others. However, on the surface, they're a paranoid, nervous wreck. It's unknown how Kan came to be this way, but they fear that anyone could be an enemy, and they close themselves off from someone until they know they can trust them. This doesn't mean they're unkind, but don't expect them to not freak out upon meeting you! However, even mass paranoia has its... Quirks, er, perks. It's enabled Kan to be very excellent strategically on the battlefield since they are so paranoid. Being that they're constantly calculating everything, and acting so twitchy and distrustful and fearful of everyone, you'd expect them to be a villain. Well... no. What Kan fears most is not being able to save civilians. They can't help but feel regretful that due to their paranoia, they can't always save everyone...
Personality Type: INTJ (Ni-Te-Fi-Se) At least, I intend for Kan to be an INTJ with well-developed Fi. Let's see if they turn out that way.

[] Accessories: (Hero/Villain Accessories: ) Kan is constantly carrying a wide variety of weapons with them. This includes bags of knives, bows and arrows, katanas, swords, and whatever can fit into their bags. How they can move around so quickly with all of this is a mystery...
[] Other: (Freckles, scars, etc.) Kan has freckles dotting their entire face. However, if you were to trace them with a pen, they'd all form eyes! Are they natural? How odd.
History: Kan Yonezawa, as a child, didn't have much of a concept for what they wanted to do in life. They always had to work so much harder than everyone else did in school, being raised only by their mom. This led to them constantly getting stressed. It also led to a sort of superiority complex, but alas, that was not to be. Kan, deep down, always cared very deeply for other people, especially their sister. They were very close with her, and would never let anything bad happen to her. But... one day, she got into trouble, and Kan made a slight miscalculation in trying to save her that cost everything- and she was killed by the villains that had captured her. Kan became so angry and bitter and swore to themselves they would never let anything bad happen to another living soul. Unfortunately, this led to them becoming their distrustful and paranoid self. They still tried far harder than their classmates and got all the top grades, but now they had something of an inferiority complex -- they never, ever forgave themselves for what happened to their beloved sister. Thus, Kan, nowadays, is ridiculously distrustful and paranoid about everything to the last line of code in a plan, so to speak. There's no one in this world they have come to trust, but their own mother, who they rarely contact out of shame... but they are ever determined to become the greatest hero they possibly can be.

Personality: Tengan hates the world. She hates humans. She hates heroes. She hates villains. Her primary motivation for everything is pure and unadulterated hate.
No reason seems to encompass how she ended up this way. She's a pessimist. She has antisocial personality disorder. She experienced some trauma in her childhood that has left her scarred for life and disliking everyone. Those are theories.
But her hatred for the human race runs far deeper. She cares nothing for societal standards and is fully disinterested in others. She's unmanipulative. She truly cares naught for what others think of her. She just... exists. The world flows in and out of her.
This girl... is truly the epitome of a quiet, creepy soul. Never trust her. She might not align herself with anyone or try anything- but that doesn't make her trustworthy.

History: Tengan was born to a hero-based family, both of her parents clean-cut, fairly famous heroes. She had a brother two years older than her, and a family cat. Her parents claim from the moment she was born that she was not quite right. She ignored everyone, and learned very little from her mother, no matter the efforts her mother tried to put in. Her older brother would tease and try and pick a fight with her, and she'd shrug him off and go back into her own mind. As Tengan grew older, few realized she was quirkless, as they quite often assumed that she simply was ignoring them when they asked, as she did with every question. Her older brother and mother were the only ones who knew her secret. Her older brother became a hero, and in an outburst, when he was picking her up from detention, he revealed it. Tengan became bullied. She never outwardly reacted. Until her brother got in an accident. One day, when she was left alone with him, she began to smother him with a pillow. He would've died, if not for her mother coming back in to pick up her purse. Tengan was tried for attempted murder of a hero. As a minor, her sentence was lightened, and she was considered mentally unculpable at the time of the crime, and merely sent off to a mental institute, where she resides until this day. Sometimes her family visits... but never her brother. And who can blame him? He tried so hard to care for his sister his whole life... and then she tries to kill him? Things are never fair.

Quirk: [Silver Lining] Tashi has the ability to manipulate the contents of silver, changing the shape and form at will. He cannot create silver, but he can manipulate it, and thus carries around much silver items.
Affiliation: Hero
Personality: A heroic, extraverted, always cheerful person. He's all about saving and protecting others, even at the cost of himself. This isn't to say he's essentially a happy person- he regrets many of his words and actions and has deep self-hatred deep down. This is why he continues the fight and forces himself forward- never look back. Never regret. Until night. Then he cries himself to sleep, away from the eyes of the press and the people he forces himself to save. Like his sister, hatred is one of the greatest motivator's for him. He hates the people who he must protect. He hates his family who forced him down this path. And mostly, he hates himself for all that he fails to do. For all the blame he places on others.

[] Outfit: His street clothes are composed of dark green pants and a red and orange streaked shirt that seems to depict fire. Dirty white sneakers. (Hero/Villain Outfit: Long orange shirt that dangles out over his pants, with a fringe made of silver sown onto the bottom, and the silver coming up his shirt in stripes. His pants are black and attached to it, are many silver ornaments. It's a mystery how his clothes don't tear under the weight... They seem rather durable, almost like armour.)
[] Accessories: He wears a cat-eye necklace. (Hero/Villain Accessories: He wears a red cape which attaches to a cap on his head that resembles a cat's head, with ears. He wears the cat-eye necklace as well, along with several silver earrings in his left ear.)

History: Tashi was born to the perfect heroic family. He had two cis parents, a childhood dog whom he loved- and soon enough, his sister was born. Excited to finally be able to extend his love to someone in his family who wasn't always busy, he became a doting brother, saving up his money to splurge on her, training to be a hero to 'protect' her. She never seemed to respond, but on occasion she'd smile at him, as if he were finally winning her over. This pushed him further to take care of her. As he grew older and eventually became a hero, then the two started to grow distant- he was stressed over his countless studies and oaths to live up to his parents. His sister on the other hand, continuingly got in trouble- and on total anger, sleep deprivation and perhaps a bit of pettiness- he cried out her secret out loud. She was quirkless.. Immediately, the people who'd feared her (-wondered if she might be a future villain in the making-) pounced. She was no longer a threat, but a target. One day, Tashi was badly injured in a fight. She came up to his inert form, lying on his bed. Amber eyes, so much like his glowed- He opened his mouth to speak, to apologize, perhaps to yell- and then a pillow was pressed to his face. He writhed and writhed and slowly unconsciousness crept up on him- before his parents emerged and the pillow was jerked away. He refused to try against her in court, but with credible witnesses like his heroic parents, then she was immediately put away in a mental facility. To this day he refuses to accept the truth- that he has a sister. And that he failed her. And that he's far too cowardly to try and approach her with the history that they have.

There was a raid on The Grand Chessmaster's base. The heroes failed to capture any of the crooks involved, and the villains slipped by into the shadows. The media is calling for action, calling for the punishment of the heroes for their failure.
All of the heroes involved have been brought to the police station for questioning and possible conviction. Outside, those underneath the Grand Chessmaster are spying... as well as villains who are interested in this affair. You are included in this group of people, whichever side you lie on.

A worm of guilt wiggled through his stomach. He pressed his hands to it. It wriggled underneath his palms.
He sighed.
I'm so useless sometimes.
Why couldn't he have tried harder? Why couldn't he have sacrificed more?
Well, at least he was being punished... that was something.
That was proof to others that he had failed.
The police officer in front of him tapped a pen on the desk. The repetitive sound was getting on his nerves. Tap. Tap. Tap.
He glanced at the hero besides him. They were mumbling something under their breath that he hadn't quite caught. He leaned in closer. Fault. Calculation. They stopped talking.
"When're we getting out of this dump?" he whispered to them.
Before they could reply, the police officer did.
"When they are confident in your uninvolvement."
Oh crap. The officer with the annoying pen habit had a quirk that enhanced his hearing. Well- he eyed his ears... they were kind of weirdly long and pointy.
"Uh, sorry dude," he apologized. "No offense."
"None taken."
Well, that was the end of that conversation.

Well, crap. Quick Silver shared a quick glance with Kan. He'd heard of her. And based off that, this was not going to go well... He managed a calm smile at the woman.
"Well, there was a slight miscalculation... and the villains got away... but next time, of course-"
"Next time!" She spat disbelievingly. "You expect to get away with this? These repeated failures?"
She crossed her arms. Quick Silver looked down at his lap.
Internally, he shrunk down to Tashi Yasu, the same scared little boy he was inside.
The Chief of Police turned around and gazed out the window, muttering to herself.
Tashi swallowed and didn't try to say anything. It'd just make it worse at this point...

The Chief of Police raised her eyebrows, though neither of them could see. "Interesting." She turned around and placed her hands on the desk. "So, you're willing to accept full responsibility? Even at the cost of your hero's license?"
Tashi froze. What? What was she saying? Their license? He'd thought just a reprimand-
And then the person with the enhanced hearing quirk stood up from the desk. "There's someone outside," he said.
Mouse froze. License? The person was to lose their license? That was... amazing. If such a thing were to happen, then The Grand Chessmaster... His mind was racing so fast, he didn't even hear the man at the desk speak up.
And then suddenly, a silver hammer smashed through the window.
His hands flew up to his mouth, but he couldn't stop the yelp of terror from escaping him.
