Dyti, being not the fittest of pokemon, had given up on running around ten minutes ago, and despite only walking his breathing remained unsteady. He'd managed to memorise the route to school, thankfully, so arrived in good time (though still late). He took a quick note of some lingering students - a startling amount of species', creating quite the explosion of colour, though it wasn't unpleasant to look at. They all seemed to be communicating with others, and he could already see cliques of sorts forming. So, instead of interrupting, he opted to stay near the gate and keep to himself, despite his curiosity at some of the odd hybrids present.

“Yep!” Emerald would nod. “Nice to see you again!” He was happy to see old faces once again. He was happy and excited to start the school journey…hopefully it wiuld be a normal one.
Emerald then looked at Summer. “This is Summer! My friend from Luminia!” Summer would smile and nod her head to them both.

Shade, Glare,and Aqui dashed to the class and sat all in the first row. The teacher was none other than… Shade and Glare’s father, Brian.

They had all reached the battle arena, Brian pointed to a table full of X Items
“Pick one X Item, the battle pairings will be… My Daughter Glare vs Zeri, Glacier vs Summer, My Niece Aqui vs Dawn, Min vs Dyti, My son Shade vs Emerald! When I say go begin to battle!”

Shade chose X SP. Defense, Aqui went for X SP. Attack, Glare chose X Speed

Emerald picked up an X Attack, while Summer went for X Speed.
Summer sized up her opponent…a Glaceon. “Haha… how curious…” She chuckled lightly as she looked at her opponent. She had an innate disadvantage here, but she wasn’t going down without a fight. And no matter what happened, she still had a chance to win. Whether it was down to pure luck, or the opponent being complacent, she still had a chance.

Emerald had his eyes closed as he prepared himself. Shade. He was a tough opponent…but it wasn’t as though Emerald hadn’t taken victories before. All he could rely on were his pokemon moves…but he hoped that was all he needed.
