and hops on the bed with her, knowing his room is the only truly safe spot He fell asleep too

Wanting more warmth and comfort, Chloe snuggled closer to Shade even more. She stayed like that for a while.

Chloe felt relaxed and slowly opened her eyes. "Ok we wasted enough time..." she murmured, "Let's go get that water!" She realized she couldn't get up because Shade's tail was still wrapped around her.

She bounced out of the bed and followed Shade, realizing what she just did with him and how close she was to him. She wanted to forget about it. She shook her head to clear her thoughts. "Ready! Which way is west?"

She quickly scattered fur around the pond. "How do we know this water is safe to use and drink?" she asked, slightly concerned.

Chloe remained calm but her eyes and facial expression showed her surprise in response to the sudden scream. "Shade...do you know what that was?? S-should we follow it and see if anybody's in trouble???"

Suddenly eyes popped out in the darkness, a bloody smile and a deesmbeled corpse of a Nidoran Female was tossed out from the woods

Chloe's eyes widened briefly and then she snarled, the fear in her mind turning to disbelief and uncontrollable anger. She whispered fiercely to Shade, "Do you think there are any survivors we can save or should we run away?" Her ears and tail twitched, attempting to sense and predict the horrible creature's next movements.

Chloe picked Shade up instead and put him on her back, securing him tightly with her Vine Whip. Being athletic and all the training and battling she did at home made her strong and fast, so she sped across the bright fur trail, praying to Arceus that Shade wouldn't get hurt and that they would make it safely home. She exhaled heavy breaths as she ran as fast as she could.

Chloe shook her head and panted saying, "No we...huff...needed that water...it was important for us...to survive...and you were injured and needed...help walking so...anyway lets go back home..." She went into a jog and got back to the treehouse, out of breath and exhausted both physically but mostly mentally and emotionally. "Ughhh...that was awful..." she groaned, collapsing on the floor tired.
When she collapsed, her vines let go of Shade and released him.

"At least have something comfy to sleep on! I promise I won't let it get to you..."
Shade stayed awake all what would be night if there was a sun or moon, he stayed awake until Chloe got up

Chloe slept peacefully and snored gently. At one point though, she had a nightmare and twitched violently, trying to attack the monsters in the nightmare. She felt scared and vulnerable and panicked, twisting and turning until finding a better position in Shade's floof and continuing to sleep.
