Chloe thought for a moment while helping Shade up. She replied, "I guess that makes sense...speaking of which I heard weird creepy noises last night- well wait...d-do you call it night? Actually...how do you even know when to wake up or go to sleep without a day-night cycle? Anyway, I meant I heard them while you were sleeping and before I slept. It sounded like loud Pokemon crashing through the forest...kinda spooky" The Eevee shoveled down two slices of pie.

"Not sure... They come around when lights are out, all I know they kill every living soul that isn't in light and feast on their flesh... Except for pokemon that make light such as Umbreons! But don't worry I will protect you!"
It was clear Shade was scared of them, but kept a smile so that Chloe would be slightly comforted

Chloe shrugged and finished her last bite, offering a plate of pie to Shade. "Here, eat...you seem a bit off...and if you're wondering, no...no I'm not scared of them. I'm not scared of pain or death. And I think you're lying to reassure me...are you lying that they don't mess with Umbreons?" Her ears twitched.

Chloe exhaled heavily and mumbled, "But you made those lanterns work with your ring fur...why not give me some of that fur? Would they still bother me? Also, then to be on the safe side, wouldn't it be better to constantly be in light? I don't mind sleeping with lights on..."

Chloe helped him to the table and pushed a plate of pie over to him. "Here, eat this and then we have to go find water remember? Also, a full stomach would make you less scared!" She thought for a moment before adding, "Are these monster things affected by status conditions? I have some moves I can use in case I'm in danger..."

"You're welcome! And in that case...might as well force myself to evolve into Umbreon so that I can protect myself and others..." She stopped and for an instant looked almost shy and reserved. "D-do you think I'd look pretty as an Umbreon? I haven't thought of what I wanted to evolve into but being an Umbreon would be cool!"

Chloe blushed and smiled, taking it as a compliment because she didn't like to assume Shade had romantic interest in her, especially when they only knew each other for a little more than a day and Shade seemed genuinely innocent, pure, and kindhearted. She replied back happily, "Aww thanks! Anyway, uhhh since I don't know this place really well...where should we go to find the new water source?" She tucked an apple into her floof in case they got hungry.

Chloe's blush faded when she noticed and understood Shade's reaction. She nervously smiled and said 'thanks', petting his tail and putting her head on it. She giggled, not realizing how floofy and soft and warm it was...perfect to go to sleep...on... Chloe yawned and didn't mean to but she dozed off.

Chloe smiled and nodded in response, wrapping her tail around Shade's tail. If she hadn't been sleepy and Shade's tail wasn't so floofy, she would've been blushing a lot at what she was doing with him.
