Then finally the dome bust open.
It was Milo's turn to now send in their hover crafts to pick up the tributes, Lucky and the others would not only keep the dome open but also try to round up the tributes in one location. She looked up at the sky, where she knew one of the cams would pick up her face. "Veemo!"
Rui was about to drift off to sleep once again until she heard something that alarmed her. Her eyes shot open and she quickly got up to look outside, seeing the same sight Lesia saw. She wasn’t sure what was happening, but it looked like something broke. She looked back at Jacovin and tried to shake him awake, unsure if it would work

Jacovin woke easily, setting a hand on Rui's own. "What's that sound?" He tilted his head, Liali barking at the sky and whining, jumping back and forth outside the door.

“I don’t know...” Rui replied, a bit of fear in her voice. She noticed a large... thing coming down from the sky in the center of the map, maybe that was important. “I think we should go to the center...” she said quietly, looking back at him as if waiting for his input
Jacovin sighed, then stood up. "Lead the way." He held out a hand, in hopes of setting it on her shoulder so that he wouldn't get lost.

Chelsea was slowed by the sand, but the temple hadn't been too far from the Cornucopia. She could see a vague shape in the distance, no doubt the centerpiece of the arena. Shapes were rising and falling to and from it, a near constant stream of hovercraft streaming in. Glancing over her shoulder again, a tear welled in her eye. They were going home.

They had finally gotten close enough to see the cornucopia, something Rui was sure she would never see again. She didn’t let go of Jacovin’s arm, but instead she stopped and looked up at the sky. Piece by piece, her questions were answered. The dome they had been trapped in had been broken, and this strange hovercraft came to free the remaining tributes. Rui couldn’t believe it. She didn’t have to die after all... But... why would she want to go...? She had killed so many people in her time here, and so many more before then. She knew she deserved to die a thousand deaths, so why did she think she deserved freedom? A tear began to stream down her cheek as she watched, the overwhelming guilt coming back to her all at once. Her legs began to buckle as she began to shake her head. She couldn’t go back even if she wanted to... She had no one to go back to, and no one wanted to see her. Besides, her parents wanted her dead. That was the least she could do for them... right?
Jacovin stopped slowly, freezing as his guide crumpled. "Rui?" Liali trotted over and licked a few tears from the girl's cheeks, trying to stand her back up. "Rui, what's wrong?" Jacovin's voice was worrisome. Being suddenly blinded was bad enough. Losing the only person who was willing to help was worse. "Rui?"

The hovercraft were numerous and large, filling with Tributes that arrived and pulling away. This was either an elaborate trap, or a rescue mission. Seeing the lack of Peacekeepers, Chelsea guessed it was the latter. The Cornucopia was directly in front of them, and the ships were above them. Chelsea stopped, staring into the sky and grinning.
