"Grah!" Calverus growled out as several attacks came towards him.
He used the force to try and push the flying creature out of the
air, roaring as fire struck him. He could feel the heat from
beneath his mask, feeling pain steadily grow. It fed him, made him
stronger. He continued to stalk to his first target, pausing only
when he felt something small disturb the ground near him. His gaze
was cast towards the small rock, then over to whom threw it.
Another stick figure. His head was tilted back as he turned to face
her. He abandoned the one from before, throwing his lightsaber
towards the one who threw the rock. His aim shifted as a feather
tore threw his sleeve, pulling his arm along with it. He stumbled,
his body being thrown against a tree. He spluttered as he hit the
wood, narrowing his eyes. He lost concentration. His anger fled
him, leaving him with nothing but pain.
His eyes slowly scanned the clearing as he took in heavy breaths.
He dipped his head down, a sign of surrender. Well, maybe not
exactly, but he was done fighting.
zenki saw what happened and realised someone needed to get the rest
knowing that they should be trying to survive
"EVERYONE WE NEED TO STOP FIGHTING AND START TRYING TO SURVIVE SOME
PEOPLE TRY TO FIND A STEADY SUPPLY OF FOOD AND CLEAN WATER THE
OTHERS TRY TO BUILD SHELTER"
he then quieted down

So she didn't lose her aim, but she wondered how she even summoned
the makeshift knife in the first place. She tried replicating what
she used to do, picturing summoning the feather as she flicked her
wrist outward, but it provided no product. She gave up for now, in
time to hear someone talk about survival. She winced at the
suddenness of the noise but managed to tolerate it until he quieted
back down.
Was there no civilization on this planet? Either way she wouldn't
have to worry for herself--she was bird after all. She was better
at surviving alone though, but if need be she'd try to help in what
way she could. Maggie was already tired though, flying can take a
toll on her energy and she wanted to take a break before she
collapsed, which happened more than she would like to admit.
Hikari looked at Zenki and held his shoulder. "Don't worry, there
is the city of Skyrah that we can stay. I live there after
all. And plus, I'm the one with the god pencil here, so I don't see
why not." Karlos nodded- he trusted cat man now. "Once we're safely
indoors we can do a name call... unless that makes you
uncomfortable," Hikari remarked. He began to head north, gesturing
the others towards him.
"Honestly we can survive without Henry at this point." Charles
joked, watching Celia repeatedly throwing and catching the d20
dice. The former Toppat reminded Charles of Henry a little bit,
with their common trait of using odd objects to solve situations in
creative ways. Charles has seen some of them, from a distraction
dance, spider on a stick to using glue.
"So" Charles started, looking around "Where is this place?"
Nemuresu and DiamondStar have followed, the latter of the two still
holding that human.
"Once we get there... is there anywhere I can set down this human
until they wake up? I found them in this area and tried waking them
up. I'm just trying to make sure we don't just have some dead human
with us."
Hikari stopped, and first looked at Nemuresu and DiamondStar. "I
don't think they're dead. I do have some inflatable mattresses
though. Not too many- if we stay overnight we would mostly be
sitting on the floor." Then, he looked at Charles, smirking a bit.
"This land? Its called Uchū-bashi. Its a bridge between all
universes, but recently Kurai has broken a majority of those
bridges- which included in those, unfortunately, were likely some
of your bridges. If a universe is unlinked, some of its residents
are stranded. And that, I think, is why we're here. Anyways we
should get to my home city before another one of those... beasts...
come at us..." He began to walk in a northernly direction again.
Maggie paled at the prospect of being in civilization again.
"It's for the better," a part of her said. Was it right
though? She followed at a distance, curiosity and confusion being
her only motivations to even do so. Maggie hoped that it wasn't
completely urban.
"A bridge between all universes?" she repeated below her breath.
Maybe Shift had been here before? If he had, maybe she could get
some answers on how to travel at a whim.
Calverus pulled himself away from the tree, grimacing at the damage
to his sleeve. He followed behind the others, slowly shouldering
his way in the front. He made sure to stay behind their guide, but
his eyes were narrowed. The dark side still hummed, but the noise
was less deafening than before.
---
Kosuke watched from atop a tree as a small caravan passed through.
Resting a hand on his ninjato, he kept from tree to tree, coating
his legs in chakra as he jumped and stuck to the branches. The
creaked as he threw his weight on them, further cluing him in on
the fact that he wasn't near Konoha. He slipped a small genjutsu
over himself. It would cause a slight change in his appearance,
hiding the gill markings on his face. If that didn't work he had
layered another genjutsu over it, causing anyone to quickly glance
over him. He then dropped down from the tree swiftly, following
behind the group.
zenki calmed quite a bit "well we still need to get out of the
damned forest i seriously don't want to encounter whatever that
was" he pointed to a bunch of trees that have scratches on thme
"cause i don't think the flute beast did that"

Hikari began to walk faster. "I think we should go now... just
follow me and I promise you'll be safe." Nykro and Karlos followed,
looking at the people who were currently following, also slightly
looking for people to join that haven't already.
Lace, walking like normal now, followed the group a bit
reluctantly. Internally, her head was a tumultuous jumble of panic;
if she was "stranded", as the stranger had said, the others would
be left without her, not knowing where on Earth she had vanished
to, and potentially assume Shroud had captured her. She just hoped
they wouldn't attempt to storm the headquarters again; they weren't
prepared yet, and they knew it. The girl most certainly did not
want to be associated with the masked creature who had attempted to
attack the drawing one, but she reckoned nothing could be done
about that. If worse came to worse, she could always fly away, she
supposed.
zenki jumped onto a tree and then jumped to another tree "sorry but
im used to traversing like this" he then jumped from tree to tree
to sorta scout a head for any possible enemies then returned back
"found a mother boar 5 meters to our right we should avoid it" he
could have easily beaten it but he thought they needed to conserve
energy after that battle they just had "but we should get a large
scale map soon so we get knowledge about our surroundings"

(small time skip: they are now out of the forest and Skyrah is in the
distance)
Hikari looked up at Skyrah in the distance. "Home. Quite the
spectacle isn't it?" Nykro nodded in agreement. "Looks quite
beautiful and striking, I do have to say, Hikari. Are you sure its
safe though?" Hikari laughed. "Don't worry, the walls keep those
beasts out; and even if they flew over the walls, the core of the
Dragon Amulet protects the city from any unfamiliar power that is
known to destroy our people, like that beast you just saw. And just
in case any of you can't get through the barrier, I can shut off
the area around the door in particular for a moment. Anyways let's
go!" Hikari ran up to the gate in an energetic haste.
The buildings of Skyrah were something that she had never seen
before. The central tower is what first caught her eye. She
followed the path of the tower from it's visible base to the top.
"What's in the tower?" she thought out loud, her eyes still fixed
on the structure. She hoped that's where they would be staying, it
was the most at home she would get in a building, especially if
there were windows.
The walls were tall too, and it made her wonder just how dangerous
these creatures could get. At least they were safe inside the
barrier, though she would hate to stay there for long. Exploring
would interesting at least, as all the cities she had been in
looked the same to her. Skyrah, from the outside at least, looked
like an exception.
Charles looked up in amazement. This place was amazing, better than
the day he first joined the government. "Do you think Henry came
here too?" He asked Celia, who shrugged. Immediately the former
Toppat started screaming at the top of her lungs, calling out for
Henry. "HEEEEENRY? YOU THEEEERE?"
Maggie winced at the shouting and covered her ears to dampen the
affects. After the shouts ceased, she was left with a ringing in
her ears. With a moment's hesitation, she approached the stick
people. "Excuse me..." she started, her voice quiet and unsure,
"...I understand that you're probably worried about your friend,
but could you not yell so loudly? It hurts my ears, apparently more
than what is normal." Maggie felt as if someone was pushing her to
say these things. "If it helps, I can help look for your friend
with you." Her voice grew to be more stable and at her normal
volume, which was still kinda quiet.
Charles turned to Maggie, somehow hearing her over the loud screams
of a former Toppat. "Sorry about this-" he semi shouted in attempt
to keep up above Celia's screams "I shouldn't have mentioned Henry
again- CELIA SILENT THAT FLUTE BEAST WILL HEAR US-"
Hearing the words flute monster Celia immediately stopped
screaming.
Maggie covered her ears until his shouting subsided. "Thank you."
She paused. "I haven't introduced myself, have I? I'm Maggie. I
know your friend over there is called Celia, but I don't think I
caught your name." Maggie felt a pressure lift off of her. She was
relieved that the shouting was over for now; she would probably get
used to the shouting eventually, but at the moment she could only
handle a little above room voice.
