Maggie stood there in the dust Calverus left. After a moment to process what happened, she said to herself, "Well, that argument was unessesary, now wasn't it?"
She found it odd, however, that he left without even saying goodbye, or making any acknowledgement that he was going to leave. Being the curious magpie she was, Maggie decided to follow, albeit at a far distance and as Herself. She took off in a second and flew above the treetops. "I'll leave if there's nothing wrong," she told herself, but something within her disagreed.
Even though she was on the ground for only a few minutes, she missed being in the air. The way the wind moved through her wings--and the view, the view from the sky way her favorite part. All she could see at the moment were trees, but even in those trees were a variety of species, some of which she didn't even recognize. While mundane, it still made her happy.

Charles glared at the flute beast, before charging at it and swinging his stick

Calverus could tell when he was close, now able to draw the strength of the fear to it's full extent. He snarled as he drew upon his own rage, feeding it with the fear. Left hand reaching for his lightsaber he unclipped it, watching the red blade ignite with a loud start, settling for a buzzed hum. Spotting a strange... he didn't actually have any clue what it was... Spotting a creature inside a stick? He immediately swing his lightsaber towards it, using his momentum to swing the blade down.

At that very moment, a mostly white bird with rainbow-colored eyes and floating body parts had flown towards the Flute Beast, getting ready for an attack, while somewhere off in the distance, a hooded, four-armed, two-tailed blue fox was shaking a young human who didn't seem to be awake.

"Nemu, what are you doing?" The fox shouted at the bird, "I'm trying to wake up this human and make sure they're not dead yet, because I don't think we should have a dead human on our... paws and.. wings..."

"Well, this thing is attacking these guys over here, can I at least help distract it?"

Maggie knew she had arrived at the location. The noise was distracting, and she repeatedly found herself shaking her head and flinching instinctually. There were also a lot of creatures from what she could see from in the sky--at least five of them. She wanted to help, but Maggie wasn't sure how. She couldn't remember how to make the quill-like feathers she used to use for self defense and probably wouldn't be able to aim them anyways because of lack of practice. She cursed herself for her short-sightedness. Even without a plan, she flew lower to help in whatever way she could.

Lace's head whipped towards the commotion off in the woods. Without a word, she lifted into the air again and darted through the trees like a pixie, though her powers were truly more bird-related. An odd creature that looked like no Pokemon she'd ever seen seemed to be attacking two... stick people? They looked like something from that family portrait she'd once drawn at the age of 5, before Mom and Dad and Corren and Argent and everyone had died, when her family was whole, when Jaz had cared about her. There actually was an assemblage of people, if they could be called that, in that one area. How strange. She wanted to help, but it seemed like her attacks weren't working, and she was anything but good at hand-to-hand combat. The other Protectors found it amusing how she always used Special attacks, never Physical.

The bird had begun flying around the Flute Beast and clawing at it as a distraction, while his friend continued to attempt to wake up the human.

Nikki attempted to run, but she was just too weak. But thanks to momo, she was able to get to the others in the nick of time. However, she was still weak.

The amazed girl looked up at the flute beast, and immediately sent her shiny umbreon out and made it use dark pulse while momo was shooting energy to make a combinaton. Nikki then used her shield ability to defend her umbreon and momo.

The beast cried as the flute was cut through by the saber, leaving the part it was protecting exposed. Now vulnerable to the other attacks, it screamed in pain as they caused critical damage (except Charles' stick which did nothing), causing it to collapse over. As Hikari approached the beast, it disappeared. All he saw was a damaged flute. He cautiously picked it up, nervous that it would turn into one of those monsters. But it didn't, and he sighed. Nykro ran over, following the footsteps of others, as his pondering made him lose track, with Karlos in front of him, after hearing a delayed scream from Celia. "Is everybody okay?" Nykro interjected. He looked quite panicked himself, wondering what had happened. Hikari sighed, and replied, "I think we'll live." Nykro nodded, as Hikari turned around to address the rest of the people. "I don't know if something more dangerous is lingering here as well, so we should head to Skyrah as quickly as possible!"

Charles sighed, spinning the stick around. "What even was that?" He asked Hikari now that he and Celia calmed down from the sudden attack. It definitely couldn't be Henry, even though he does have odd inventions that help him like a teleporter that always (well mostly) fails, a yell that shatters windows and even a dance that distracts people. This wasn't one of them.

Celia put away the odd objects back in her pocket. Hey, at least she didn't die.

Calverus revelled in the short burst of pain the creature felt, greedily pulling it towards him. He let out a low growl as the source quickly faded, leaving nothing but a damaged husk. His eyes trailed along those gathered, his fist grasping the lightsaber tight. It was still humming as the red light softly reflected off his mask. There was one problem Calverus had encountered in his trainings. His unique ability allowed him to draw on the pains, fears, and dangers of other people, but cut it off too quickly and he was left starved. The growl slowly turned into a snarl as his gaze froze on the first he heard speak. A strange figure that appeared like a small child's drawing. His force signature reached out in himger towards the creature as he stalked foward, eyes narrowed.

The beast's cry caused Maggie to squirm, her head slightly shaking to drive the sensation away. She had witnessed death before and had experienced no feeling, so why was she now feeling pity for it? She stored the thoughts in an imaginary box to unpack in the future.
With the now foreign emotions absent, a headache came in to fill the emptiness. She could handle headaches though, so she focused on the creatures that had gathered. The group was a menagerie of species, from humanoids to animals. Two of them seemed to be more experienced in this world compared to her, maybe if she stuck around she could get some answers?

Lace's eyes widened at the sight of the Umbreon, and she immediately darted to it, landing and kneeling to hold out her hand. The familiar creature was a comfort to her. "Hey," she whispered to it with a little smile. I wish Harkan was here, she thought sadly, recalling the kindly Dark Protector. She was momentarily distracted, and when she looked back, the others appeared to have gone and killed the creature! The short girl was shocked and horrified; couldn't they have tried to reason with it, or at least subdue it? Perhaps Pokemon were the only creatures that were intelligent enough for such an attempt, and the inhabitants of this place were simply completely savage? That was hard for her to believe. Her attention then flicked to a figure wielding a glowing red blade of sorts approaching one of the drawing people, and a shiver ran down her spine. She stood, not quite sure what was going on but intending to prevent any more killing until she got some sort of information.

Charles had stopped spinning the stick and now it had dropped back to the ground. "It would've been fun to take that beast down with my greatest plan, right Celia?" He asked, a smile on his face "you know, like 'This is the greatest plaaaan!'" He sang the last few words, fully appreciating his signature little move.

Calverus let out another animalistic snarl as his target drew out his voice in an almost singing fashion. Calling upon the force, he lifted the stickman into the air, throwing him back with a force push. His mind was buzzing in excitement, the dark side wrapping around him, whispering to him. Using it's power he darted forward, enhancing his speed slightly with the force. Calverus shifted his lightsaber so that the hilt would hit the stickman first. It would do him no good if they died too quickly.

The white bird, Nemuresu, had attempted to peck at Calverus, trying to protect Charles from being murdered.

"DiamondStar, over here, I could really use your help right about now!" he shouted.

"Alright, I'll take the human with me!" And the fox, apparently called DiamondStar, had picked up the unconscious human, fireman carrying him using her larger pair of arms, and using her smaller arms to cast a weak fire spell to use on Calverus

The scene in front of her brought panic to the formerly Toppat. If she didn't do nothing, Charles would be slain- and that wasn't good. Grabbing the d20 dice from earlier she rolled it, grabbing the rock with the other. The d20 had rolled a 5 (done with random number gen.), not the best, but not the worst either. Throwing the rock at Charles' attacker, she hoped she would be quick, and the 5 was enough to at least stop the attacker.

Why was Calverus attacking the stranger? Had the stranger done something wrong, had they known each other? Either way, Maggie wanted to stop the fighting. Perhaps she could try pinning Calverus? It looked like he had some kind of telekinesis though, so even if all of his limbs were pinned he still might be able to--she couldn't hesitate, someone's life was at stake here. When she turned into her human form she subconsciously summoned one of her feather quills. She didn't even know it existed until she brought her hand up. It looked like one of her normal primary feathers, but had a sort of metallic sheen on its edges. She tried aiming at the fabric of his arm, hoping to at least slow him down, and if lucky enough, pin the arm against one of the trees.
