That was the year it happened. The world was engulfed in flames by a being more powerful then any weapon the human race could throw at it. City’s were destroyed. Countries burned. But how this being came into the world was the question that the W.D.P (World Defence Program) continued to ask themselves, even as the world around them began to crumble. The answer lied, however, in the ashes of one individual who was one of the first to perish. This is the story of how Chaos was born…..
Tall buildings, typical of a large city, stretched up from the ground alike to giants made from stone and glass, the streets between them like thick ribbons of black bordered by grey, marking the roads and paths. As the sun followed its path through the sky, it reflected off the glass windows of the buildings, creating sparkling patches of blinding light across the windows, further illuminating the surfaces around them. The city wasn't all just buildings, however, there were more peaceful areas, such as parks with bright, emerald green, grass, sparkling as the sun reflects off the small dew drops across the blades of grass. Some of these parks contained trees, trees with large, strong wooden trunks that have been rooted in their place for years, constantly growing, being used to provide shade when things were too warm and bright, or to provide shelter for smaller creatures throughout the year. There weren't that many people out at the parks today, and despite the sun shining as bright as ever, the day was still cool in temperature, with a cold biting wind blowing by occasionally. Though the parks and other places commonly used for relaxation were quiet, the city itself was still busy and full of life. People walking this way and that trying to get to places, whether to go to the shops for groceries or clothes or other such things, or to go to their jobs, or even just to take the family's pet dog for a walk. With the movement of people taken into consideration, the streets could be considered quite crowded - especially in the busiest times of the day where it can be quite difficult to manoeuvre around people to get around the city.
Amongst this movement of people was a rather small child - she was around 12 years old, but could easily pass for a couple of years younger with her smaller than average size. She was wearing a crimson red jacket with the hood up, covering her brown cat ears and black horns that were, in shape, similar to that of a ram. She had a pair of feathered wings folded tightly to her back, trying to take up as little space as possible, with each feather being a smooth gradient from a medium-light brown to black at the end, just like her hair. As she moved between people, trying to avoid running into anyone or getting hit by anything they may have been carrying, as it was rather easy for people to not even realise she was there with her size, she looked around. She didn't really know where she was going, she just knew she was going somewhere, unless she was somehow accidentally walking in circles - which was definitely a possibility in such a large place. Her black, scaled, dragon-like tail flicked as she walked, trying to be careful not to accidentally trip someone up with her tail, which was always a possibility even if she was trying to be careful.
