Breaking into a full sprint as she drew closer to the scene, Tundra
was grateful for her family's exercise machine; it was a virtual
simulator programed for various workout routines, and over the
years, she had developed a love for running. She covered the
distance within 5 minutes. Turning the corner of an alleyway, the
girl froze in her tracks, skidding to a halt. "What in the
world?" she gaped, her eyes wide. Sure enough, there was the
giant crow. It seemed to be attacking... a shoe? It was perched
next to a slumped figure atop a vehicle. In the air above it
floated a woman standing atop a robotic-looking flying machine.
There was a huge convoy of large, armored vehicles parked along a
gravel road at the center of absolute pandemonium. One thought
flashed through her head as she recognized the uniforms of
scattered X-Loyalists: I shouldn't be here.
Dooley looked down at the entrance, where she saw someone standing
near the fight, something told her that this was not one of the
Diamond Leauge, and most definetly not an X-Loyalists. Dooley knew
all of the members of the Spade Gang, and as she ran through her
mental list of people whom she saw every day, she did not recognize
this girl. She slammed a few more X-Loyalists into the ground as
she zipped down. Rover changed forms and quickly joined her,
circling around her. She jogged up to Tundra. "Kid, you need to go.
This isn't safe."
Felix laughed, “Ahh, yes. A warm breakfast would be nice right
about now” he said while readying himself. “You seem rather
amusing, let’s have fun” he told Derek while walking forward.
When the woman ran up in front of her, she nearly cringed away,
fearful as to her intentions. Tundra's mind was a jumbled mess as
she tried to decide whether her assignment of "quiet and shy" still
applied. What if this was a test to see if she would unbalance the
scale? Deciding that she had already failed if so, she took a deep
breath and responded nervously, "I- can tell. Er, sorry?" It was
ingrained in her to do as she was told, but she really had no idea
where to go, and so just took a step backwards, her eyes straying
from the woman to the fight behind her.
Dooley placed a hand on her shoulder and grinned. "No worries!" She
glanced behind her worriedly. "Just...get out of here, okay? I
don't want you getting hurt while we deal with these-" she paused.
"Well, seeing that you're a citizen, you probably won't like how I
describe the X-Loyalists." She turned around, glancing over her
shoulder at Rover. "Rover, transport mode, Now!" Rover switched
forms with a loud clunk. She hopped on, waving at Tundra before
joining the fight once more."
After successfully removing the boot, Tazu set it down, picked it
back up using her beak by the part where one's foot would go in,
then as stealthily as she could, moved over to the truck nearest to
Felix. Once she got close enough to Felix, she raised her head, and
bonked him using the boot, proceeding to sprint off in the opposite
direction and take flight.
Derek took the distraction Tazu provided to swing his staff at
Felix's feet. He wasn't sure if he would hit, but if he did it
would make his job a whole lot easier. If he hit, the voltage would
stun the muscles in the man's legs, allowing for a jab to the head
or neck. Maybe the chest if he was aiming to kill.
That explains it; the Spade Gang, she thought to herself.
Tundra was surprised that she felt an involuntary shiver at the
name of the group; hadn't the woman seemed rather pleasant? She
then realized it was due to how she was constantly warned of them.
Personally, she'd never had a negative run in, and had never heard
of them attacking citizens for no reason. Shaking her head and
reminding herself that just because she had never been hurt by them
didn't mean they weren't dangerous, she turned and stepped back
into the shadows of the alley. She knew better than to question
Governor X's decrees, although that didn't mean she was going to
mention anything of this to anyone. However, instead of returning
to her assigned route, she crouched behind an overturned bin,
concealed from the view of the fighters, her curiosity getting the
better of her, though she knew how naive it was.
Tazu was now flying about 10 feet above Felix, circling over him
while still holding The Boot. She was now questioning whether or
not to use The Boot to bonk every single X-Loyalist as well as each
weapon that was being carried.
meg closed her book and went back tp her house and opened the door
and said"mother im back".she hung her bag on th hook near the door
witch her name above it.and she went to her room to put perry in
his box.
Through a slit in the bin, she watched the giant bird darted down,
whap a tall, black-haired man in a suit on the head with a Boot,
then dart away. "I'm still so confused..." she muttered under her
breath, suppressing a vexed grin at the sight.
Emersyn had walked away after her talk with Felix,She headed
towards the Park, Just then after 2 minutes she heard a
Commotion.."Could it be a Spade-Gang attack?" She though and headed
back towards the docks carefully, making sure that she won't be
noticed
meg opened her room door and walk into her room.she closed the door
and started cleaning up her very clean room and she put perry in
his box with her other pet rocks.she pulled out her desk chair and
sat downand began studying for school.
Cryo had hopped on a bus in the northwest quadrant of the city and
was headed for the southwest quadrant. He had been assigned what
appeared to be a task regarding picking up some old, broken tablets
from families that had aged out and no longer needed them and
fixing them. Though still inexperienced and bumbling, he was
generally alright with technology, and he got the sense that
perhaps the governor intended for him to become more involved with
the technological aspects of the city. Of course, Hilo was much
better with electronics than Cryo was, but the younger boy already
had his path laid out before him, so the latter was the apparent
next best option. He sighed, glancing out the window in an attempt
to distract himself once more from his own blasted incompetence.
The fight was long, but eventually, Dooley's bombs managed to leave
evrey single X-Loyalist on the ground, paralyzed. Dooley stood in
the enterance, breathing hard. She looked at her arm, still holding
bombs in either hand. She pocketed one, and pressed her hand
against it, blowing a hair out of her face. "You nicked me, but
it's not enough. Smirking, she walked amoung the trucks, climbing
into one and dissapearing. When she came out, she held a small
black box in one hand, the other still pressed against her arm. She
went back to where she was, and tossed the box into the air. Rover
caught it with his tail, and Dooley pulled something out of her
pocket, a almost caculator like thing. She pressed a few buttons,
and pocketed it again. "Have fun being in the a pile of melted
truck, boys!" Rover flew off with the box, and she started walking
away. "Well, come on then, unless you want to see the trucks melt
from the inside." Their was a rumbiling sound as they began to do
just that. "We've got better things to do."
At last the skirmish seemed to have ended. The copper haired girl
had remained hidden behind the overturned box the entire time, the
asphalt below digging into her exposed knees. Tundra didn't know
what to think; the X-Loyalists had just been doing their duty,
hadn't they? The Spade Gang had attacked from nowhere, unprovoked,
and now all of the guards appeared to have suffered. However, the
Spade woman hadn't seemed rude or dangerous. Somewhere, in the back
of her mind, the thought flickered that perhaps she was now
beginning to think for herself for the first time and therefore was
utterly confused, but the second it arose, it immediately
disappeared again before she could contemplate it. When the trucks
began to rumble, she quickly scrambled backwards, panic bubbling in
her chest. Was this an explosion? What if she got caught in it? She
accidentally kicked the metal bin forwards as she tripped over the
laces of her left boot and her right leg shot forward. Her head
knocked into the ground, the sound of it hitting the pavement
reverberating in her ears.
Dooley heard the reverbatating sound, it was hard not to even above
the sound of the trucks melting. She walked over and yanked Tundra
onto her feet. "Kid, I thought I told you to go home." She sighed,
still clutching her arm. "Well, let's go, don't want a passerby
getting melted." She gestured for her to follow, heading back.
"Whreya live? I'll take you home.'
Emersyn sat there thinking, Making sure she wouldn't be noticed
"Alright so Felix had to get a couple of shipments from the Trucks,
But then the Spade Gang had attacked,..and some how..They didn't
notice me..*sigh* That's a relief." she said Murmuring to
herself..She sat there waiting for a couple of moment..Waiting for
the coast to be clear so that she could her way back to the Park.
"Sorry..." she muttered, holding the back of her head and wincing.
Then, as the realization sunk in, Tundra wilted, her face going
pale. "I'm going to be in so much trouble..." she whispered under
her breath. She'd gotten off her bus without authorization, taken a
back route she hadn't been assigned, spied on a government
operation, spoken with a member of the Spade Gang, and all the
while ignored her emotions for the day. How had she been so
stupid? Though she still had her bags from her time in the food and
clothing district with her, it would be painfully obvious to her
mother that she had disobeyed Governor X. "Northwest quadrant..."
she mumbled, wondering if she could manage to convince her mother
that she hadn't messed up, as she always seemed to do.
Dooley grinned. "Hey, you can't get in too much trouble, I mean,"
her voice grew a bit bitter, "Youre parents will be happy you're
safe and not hanging around outlaws, though who knows? Maybe that
dicator," she spit on the ground, "Is gonna make them not care."
She nodded. "Northwest? Used to live up there before I ran away."
She whistled. "Geez, Derek's breakfast is gonna hafta wait, we're
aways from there." Dooley glanced back. "What are you doing here,
anyway?"
