“Everybody holds some contempt for fate. And I represent fate
itself. Driving everything to it’s written path. Don’t you hate
that?” He said, still not turning. His voice was... cold...
tired... and empty.
"Of course I want to live my life freely." Azure said calmly. "But
if I do hate fate, I can hate it without hating the person behind
it? For they are just doing their role?" He shook his head calmly.
"You're not a bad person. Stop hating yourself..."
"Hmmm not really," Fortem says. "If you represent fate, fate must
be a good thing then. And maybe thats not how it works, either.
Besides, theres always the 'don't shoot the messenger' saying."
Fortem realized that in his exhausted state, what he was saying
probably didn't make much sense, but his point should hopefully
come across.
“..... Ha.......Ha.....” Opal collapsed to the ground. He had been
running on fumes. But that had knocked the adrenaline out of him.
It had filled him with a sense of relief.
"Dad never hated you for anything...so why should we?" Emerald said
calmly walking to him. "Come on...let's stick together..." He knelt
down near Opal.
Azure looked at the others. "Let's head outside..."
Helda raised an eyebrow at the group's wounds, disappointed that
she had missed a fight. She said nothing, though, as she was now
accustomed to. Silently following the pack, she wondered what could
have possible managed to inflict damage to two legendaries and a
fairly strong Pokemon before getting beaten. It must've been rather
powerful. Humming slightly to herself, she caught up the the back
of them, trailing along there.

It took an hour but...
They came across a field, full of yellow flowers...
"This is good enough....right?" Azure looked around with everyone.
He looked at Helda. "You've...been gone for a while...where have
you been...? Are you ok?"
"Hm?" Her head swiveled towards Azure. "Oh, yes. I'm fine." She
smiled, before frowning again. Why was she being so nice? Shaking
her head, she inspected the area that the Suicune had chosen - not
much cover, but it did mean that they could see approaching
enemies. Good enough for her. With a slight sigh, she sat,
reviewing what had happened whilst they were in the Temple.
Truthfully, she hadn't been outside there the entire time, but she
wasn't about to tell them that.
Fortem collapsed on the field. He needed his rest... he reflected
on the battle, and wished he could have done more, but no going
back... He easily drifted off to sleep.
"I've been worried...that's all...I hadn't seen you in quite some
time...after we entered the temple. I'm relieved that you're safe."
Azure nodded as he began setting up camp in the flower field.
Emerald couldn't do anything except make sure Opal was comfortable
on his back..
Hiro was helping out. He saw Fortem fall asleep and immediately
propped him up onto a large purple bubble.
Fortem was already asleep before he could even mutter a 'thank you'
to Hiro... Unfortunately, he began having bad dreams about the
battle. Maybe a side affect from fighting a nightmare pokemon, or
maybe just because it was a really scary situation for him...
When Opal awoke... he was very suprised to find emerald still near
him. Right.... someone who didn’t blame him for guiding fate.....
it was.... refreshing to say the least.
