Whoa! Another lycanroc! And with a mask... most likely part of that other group. Seeing one in the temple wasn't a good sign. Fortem tensed. Well... this would sort of be like the practice battles against his parents... only not practice. He waited to see what they might do first, before making a move, but crouched down a bit, ready to spring up if the pokemon attacked.

Emerald seemed to snap out of it. He gently beat the side of his head.
"It's not Fortem I'm fighting...I'll be ok..." He murmured, probably to himself.

Emerald used Squall

It missed!

The Lycanroc used Rock Throw on Emerald

It hit...it wasn't very effective

Fortem was still a little concerned for Emerald, but had to focus on the fight. He'd been hit, although not with a very strong move against him. He started out with a sand attack against the lycanroc.

Emerald used Force Palm which connected.

The Lycanroc used Rock Slide...which missed

Emerald used Wind, throwing a small wind blade

Fortem used sand attack again, trying to keep the other lycanroc from attacking, while not damaging it too badly.

It reached a point where the Lycanroc’s attack could no longer hit them.

Emerald used Force Palm again.

Fortem didn't want to leave the other Lycanroc in pain for too long... he used one of his stronger attacks, Stone Edge.
