Ares chuckled as the barrier was impacted, but still held “I’m simply an old dog who refuses to stop learning new tricks.” Although he wasn’t sure how much longer he could hold his Mega form, it was starting to really drain him.

Focusing on the earth orb, Fortem called out "Splash!" Casting the spell Tenko had made available to him. It wasn't exactly a water move or a rock Pokemon, but Fortem knew from experience that generally, rock types didn't fare well too in water. He hoped the same principle applied here. Fortem continued, dodging rocks and flinging his own at the orb. This was like a spar with his lycanroc parents, who also knew rock throw!

The rocks thrown were breaking into shrapnel as they were launched. Yung was doing his best to protect himself and others with his barriers and bubbles.

Azure used Hydro pump to shatter one of the larger rocks

"hmmm..." Maybe small rocks wouldn't do much... Fortem tried splashing again, then stone edged from underneath.

Ares laughed “Impressed by me are you? Oh you haven’t seen nothing yet.” He acted a bit more bolsterous with his kin around. “Blizzard, Excalibur!” He combined the spells together to create freezing blades of wind to slice the orb

He casted Ellight, as though he dealt a critical hit... (Light Mage Spin Critical from FE10)

Azure used Hydro Pump, Remus used Night Slash, and Emerald used Swift...

It was getting closer...the area was slowly filling with light.

Mordred was too flustered to reply. Casting a Dark Pulse, she felt her heart thud. These people she’d grown to know and trust, she thoroughly enjoyed being with them. A genuine smile lit up her face as the ball of darkness struck the orb.

The final orb shattered...

And suddenly...

A positive aura spread through out everyone, invigorating them. However, it was invigorating everything that was round them...including the meteor.

There was no element in their attacks...just pure rainbow light bullets.

Mordred’s ears pinned themselves back, her eyebrows lowering in focus. With her maxed out special attack, she fired a Dark Pulse into the meteor and winced as it spread a fine black mist from the impact, quickly clearing. She eyed the impact, her mouth foaming with the same darkness as she prepared another attack.

Fortem nodded, flinging rock throw after rock throw; his only attack that would reach that high... he needed to invest in a better long range move as well. He added it to his mental list of attack modifications while focusing on the fight. This was what it all came down to! They had to protect Luminia!
