"Let's head in," Fortem said to Mewtwo and the others, putting on a
brave face for the group. He walked through the heavy door to see
what might be inside... probably some sort of battle cause there
hadn't been one yet... oh great.
Fortem huffed, a little bruised from the unexpected fall, but other
wise okay. He got to his feet, his eyes and ears extremely focused.
He looked around the pit that they were stuck in.
"Do you hear that, Mewtwo?" Fortem said in a high pitched voice,
feeling quite nervous. As a precaution, he stone edged out a
platform out of the side of the pit, so if another sinkhole or
creature appeared out of the ground, it wouldn't be able to do
anything right away.
[All]
Mewtwo nodded. But the creature appeared far away from them first.
It was a sand worm....snake...? Something of the sorts. It seemed
to leap into the sky before coming back down to tunnel again
Fortem flinched as the creature appeared... he'd never seen a
pokemon like that before. He felt sort of bad... this place was
it's home... He doubted the creature could understand him though...
If it came up again, maybe he could try talking with it? He created
another , higher platform nearby, just in case.
Fortem leaped to his backup platform. "Welp," He muttered. "Guess
we'll have to attack..." Fortem sent a Rock Throw at the creature,
but doubted it would do much, as the creature lived underground.
"Hmm...." Fortem stepped onto another one of his rock platforms.
Maybe he himself could set a sort of trap? He sent some rocks from
rock throw down onto the ground, so that the sand creature might
think it was a pokemon. Then he tensed, and got ready to stone edge
the creature.
A rock grazed Fortem's pelt, and he blocked the rest with a stone
edge shield, sending more stone edge stones down towards the
direction of the creature.
[All]
Now the rocks had grazed the creature. When the creature dived up
to the sky again, there were now more miniature creatures which
shot seeds at Fortem
Fortem ducked trying to avoid the seeds. Some hit him on his back,
but thankfully, most missed, and the ones that hit only hurt a
little bit. He aimed his sharp rocks precicely at the little
creatures, taking them down, and took out the last one with a well
aimed bite. He flung the creature away, not wanting to have to look
at their still forms.
Fortem dodged the giant creature as it slammed into the sand, and
used bite, the astral black jaws connecting with the creature's
outer membrane. Fortem let go and looked away, before jumping to
another platform. The fight was beginning to tire him out. He
watched Mewtwo try to confuse the creature, not having much luck.
