Winter nodded and prepared to follow Emerald to the mountains, the
words of him and his father still ringing in his head... Maybe this
would make him feel better, but he still felt as if the only one he
could really trust right now was Meka.
[Winter]
He stood still. He could sense Winter’s feelings. “...a lot has
changed, hasn’t it...? Perhaps one day...I can finally...con...” He
didn’t finish his words...but slowly made his way up the
mountain
[Meka]
While Moon was dealing with Sandslash, there was a room to the
left...away from where they were supposed to go
Meka saw the empty room, and shot a glance at the shiny sylveon
below. It looked like she had the sandslash handled. Besides,
she was looking for Darkrai. She entered the second room for
a quick look-around.
Winter followed him, wiping away the rest of his dries tears with
one paw and mentally smacking himself. Grow the hell up!
Meka hissed. "I hope you know I'll be getting you back for that
lunch money, ya demon." Meka knew she would never be her old self
again until she destroyed this Darkrai, or at least considered
whatever she did to be good revenge. She missed her carefreeness,
now she wanted it back. She started to glow.
Winter was walking just a little behind Emerald, thinking his own
thoughts. His own admiration for the Riolu was replaced by feelings
of his own hurt, even though he felt ashamed for feeling them.
[Meka]
... Silence. No acknowledgement. Darkrai was standing there. It
seemed odd...
[Winter]
Emerald slowly made his way up the mountain. His own negative
thoughts were slowly fading with each stride up the mountain, being
replaced by determination. There was no point in feeling negative,
He will save his father, even if Winter or Meka reject him for the
rest of his life.
Winter picked up his pace to walk next to Emerald, forcing a smile.
"We were supposed to be warriors, right?" He lifted his chin and
looked up the mountain. If Emerald believed that his father was
rescuable, then it was worth a shot, right?
Meka cautiously made her way closer. "Hello? You will respond!" She
was still glowing, the mere sight of the pokemon making her start
steaming.
[Meka]
A black wave shot out. It was no ordinary attack.
[Winter]
“...you think it’s odd? Right? Call me in denial but what ever, but
a slash attack...it should draw blood. There was none.” Emerald
said with gritted teeth. “...I’m no warrior. I’ll never be able to
be.” He no longer believed in it.
[Meka]
Draining...regret. There was no doubt that this Darkrai was not the
same as the one she loathed. “...I am Mortis. I am Nightmare.” A
corrupted aura surrounded it, as it launched dark blasts towards
Meka
[Winter]
... he had no answer to that. He decided that Winter didn’t trust
him enough. And so...he decided to keep his own thoughts for now.
“...no idea.” They were moving towards the temple...
"You still suck for killing that stupid Lucario!" Meka refused to
let go of her anger. Darkrai was Darkrai. She took the dark blasts,
wincing but forcing herself to fire her aura sphere. "I STILL HATE
YOU!" She was ordered to beat this guy up. If she couldn't find the
one that had stolen her spending money, she'd just have to hope
this one would do. Mortis. What kind of name even was
that?
Winter heard yells coming from inside the temple in question,
though he couldn't see it yet.
[Meka]
The Aura Sphere...phased through? It seemed to do nothing. "...life
ends. Live young...and die young." The Darkrai said simply, as it
send another wave of corrupted energy at Meka.
[Winter]
Emerald reached the temple. He noted that the room that Meka was in
was sealed off....rather...it was no longer there. "...The second
instrument...we need it now..." Emerald murmured.
Fortem and Mewtwo finally reach the chamber where the battle was
happening! He quickly surveys the area, glad to find Emerald.
"Sorry we're late!" He called, and padded up to him. The mountain
was a hard climb, and they'd gotten lost.
"What? I am not young nor am I about to die!" She attempted to
dodge the wave, to no avail.
Winter's ear twitched at the noises from inside the sealed room but
nodded. "Okay. I wasn't here for the last one, so tell me what to
do." He built up energy inside him to use as attacks if needed.
[Fortem, Winter]
His expression got a lot brighter when he saw Fortem and Mewtwo.
"You made it!" He was determined. "I guess Moon is battling the
Sandslash...we can check out the next room!" He pointed to two
doors. One door was straight ahead, the other was to the right
[Meka]
"Regardless...the end is the end. Either way." The gravity in the
room suddenly increased tenfold, forcing Meka downwards.
Fortem was still nervous, but he knew emerald and mewtwo well,
which gave him a boost of confidence. "Hmmm... lets start with the
one straight ahead," Fortem liked to go from left to right, it was
just a habit. He cautiously padded up to the door and opened it,
jumping to the side as it did in case of danger.
Meka was forced to the ground, screaming. "Who are you? What the
heck do you want with us?" Was the sky falling the Darkrai's fault?
Was that why it stole Yung, somehow? Was it about to do the same
thing to her that it did to Yung? Was she a prisoner too?
Again?
Winter nodded and raced to the next room, ignoring the two
newcomers. He could greet them later. He hadn't even turned around
to see who the new guys were.
[Meka]
"..." The floor crumbled and Meka would fall into the depths of the
temple. The Darkrai soon vanished.
[Fortem, Winter]
The two of them had rushed ahead without Emerald or Mewtwo...and
the door closed behind them.
A small group of Golem and Sandslash appeared!
