Biggest problem with the Pokemon anime?

I think in one episode it deliberately states that it's been a year since he first obtained Pikachu. Next season? He's referred to as "10-year old Ash Ketchum". WHY?!

There are a millions of pokemons in a single patch of tall grass.

The levels of pokemons near the starting place is lower throughout life (game), but it's higher near the later places (routes), throughout life (game)

How many Trainers do the first few gyms leaders battle? Then why ae there pokemon still like lvl 20?!?!??!

Trainers who we meet at the start have low level of pokemon. Trainer who we meet later have high Pokémon level. This is just weird, the level increases as the game progresses-

Certain evolution lines. Why do they differ so much?

Take a Pokemon like Ponyta, which could easily just be a young Rapidash. It evolves into Rapidash which looks like an adult Ponyta. Simple, right?

Then why the heck does Remoraid evolve into Octillery?

How do Pokémon start glowing and all of a sudden evolve?? Wasn't evolution a gradual process???
