Chapter 5- Drugs Affect your body

You will be creating a powerpoint presentation for chapter 5. I will be giving you questions and you have to make a fun and creative powerpoint to show your understanding.

There will be no test for chapter 5 since the presentation will take the place of that.
We will share these presentations on May 4th on Meet. You have a week to work on your presentation.

What to include in your powerpoint presentation:

Title page with name
4-6 Pictures ( One picture per page does not count in your total number of slides. If you add a picture you must have text to go with it)
You must include 5-10 slides for your presentation. If you want to add more that is fine too. But you can’t have less than 5.

Chapter 5 begins on page 156 -187
Here are the questions that you need to answer in your powerpoint presentation:

List two good reasons and two bad reasons to use prescription or OTC medication?
List the four main classes of drugs and describe the effects of each.
Explain how prescription medications and over-the-counter medicines differ.
Explain some of the harmful effects of illegal drugs.
How does tobacco and alcohol affect the body?
Identify personal reasons to abstain from using alcohol.
How does caffeine affect the body?
Describe how peer pressure can affect you.
