"Not really..." Sunflower recalled the chimeras in legends. A manticore in the myths supposedly had the head and body of a lion, the face of a human, bat wings and the tail of a scorpion-Sunflower couldn't remember exactly-but then again, this was just the myths and legends. They may not be accurate.

"Vicious beasts. Their claws are sharp, but it's the tail you have to worry about. If you're even scratched, it'll leave a nasty scar if not treated quickly. If you're stabbed even once, abort the mission and get to a medic immediately, that poison could kill even Gold in less than 5 minutes." Phantom narrowed his eyes, a little irritated Gold hadn't stopped to wonder about their safety before flying off. Rebellion sparked a tiny bit in the back of his mind.

"Oh, okay..." Sunflower guessed that that meant their course of action would be to attack long-distance or from the front. Honestly, considering not all dragons in the team knew what a manticore was, Sunflower was surprised that Gold would give them this task without telling them what a manticore was.

"You see, as the tail is the most dangerous part, our main goal to start with would be to pin down the tail, not destroy it, and I'll explain why later. So, we need someone with an advantage in speed, and with experience, so they can dodge the tail from the front." He pointed at Jade, as if assigning her to that part. "Then, someone else will sneak behind the creature to grab the tail and pin it down. Then the rest of us grab it's shoulders and haunches to kill it." He talked slowly, to make sure the others understood. When he was finished, he looked around at everyone to make sure they got the plan. He waited for volunteers to attack the tail.

Sunflower shuffled awkwardly, feeling like a student in front of a teacher when the teacher asks for a volunteer. She wasn't good enough at fighting to dare volunteer, and besides, someone else could probably do it better. Truthfully, Sunflower had to admit that it was easier to blame someone else that way-but she wouldn't have dared volunteer anyway.

Sunflower suddenly felt a buzz, causing her to wobble slightly as she turned to her human form and answered her phone in front of many curious eyes.
"Urgh, I have to what?! But-Urgh, fine!" Sunflower wanted to fling her phone across the room, not that she could. "My parents just called for me to go back-apparently finally found that I was missing or something Sorry! I really need to go!" With that, Aria shifted back to her dragon form, blasted open a portal, and flew away. Then, she shifted back to human form and rushed home, ready for the scolding. She doubted she would be of much help against a manticore anyway, the other dragons should be fine without her... After all, she would just be a burden to them, wouldn’t she?
(I have to go to bed now, so that's my excuse...Sorry, I have to miss out on more action...Bye.)

Crimson was still waiting, then decided to check at the perches. Good night be assigning a mission.. He shrugged, then sliced a rift there. Stepping through, he heard dragons talking about attacking. Attacking what? He wanted to find out, but didn't want to interrupt a mission.

Phantom entered the rift in time to see Jade rushing the creature. She then leaped back swiftly to avoid the tail, snapping at the creature and being careful to avoid its blows. She whacked the mandicore's face with her tail before rushing back, charging up a flame. Phantom waited for his moment, ready to rush at its haunches once the tail was pinned down.
