Spiri dodged the flames by rolling to the side. She then retaliated
by blasting frostbreath at the NightWing queen, not holding back.
She may be half SilkWing, but she wasn't raised to be peaceful and
harmless, no. While she wasn't brought up to be a killer exactly,
she was brought up to know how to survive, to know when to defend
herself. Weakness was not welcomed here, this was do or die.
Smallfly dropped a rock on Lunar's head for good measure, "Sorry,"
she apologized. "I was getting the rock to HAIL OUR NEW NIGHTWING
QUEEN!" she sat upon the rock, making a smile. "But seriously, one
queen down, uh,,, 7? More to go."
Barry sees this and laughs a bit, still invisible with his
protection from the NightWing mind reader. He looks at the other
dragons, trying to see which one needs help or which one is weak
and should be taken down.
Stinger feels the venom. “Ayy!” he says. He sees a little rat and
tries to paralyze it. The rat still moves. “Stupid lazy RainWing.”
he mutters to himself. “COME OUT YOU STUPID LITTLE RAINWING!” he
shouts by where he is.
Brightfire sees that Cinderclaws is gone away, so he goes walking,
hoping someone without firescales comes to try and fight him.
Seclusion heard someone call out about a Rainwing. Turning himself
to pure black, he flew towards the source. HEe looked like a normal
Nightwing if he had his mouth closed.
Darkgazer saw that her queen was dead and let out a furious roar.
She attacked Spiri, claws extended and fire ready.
Holly saw Dragonfly and Emperor attacking Chamomile and they seemed
to be ready to kill her. Holly figured that it was n't the best
idea in the world, but she wasn't really thinking rationally either
so she lept at Dragonfly and knocked her away from Chamomile then
had some ivy that was growing on the walls prevent Emperor from
moving.
Everglade was convinced that the hybrids were killers now. She
showed no mercy on any of them, leaping at them, fangs bared and
claws extended.
Phoenix and Buzzard continued to fight but both of them were
getting worn out.
Spiri's head snapped toward Darkgazer. The NightWing was met with
ridged claws that dug into the cheek scales as Spiri had let go of
all mercy after Izula. She was convinced she didn't want to be
pushed into a situation where she had to use her magic again. Plus,
NightWings and IceWings were at war once, right? Now she was an
IceWing, not a SilkWing. Just a purplish IceWing with butterfly
wings. Oh, that and means to fire.
Darkgazer let out a low growl and lunged for Spiri's shoulder with
her fangs. She saw this dragon as a hybrid and as an Icewing from
ages long past. She had heard about how the Nightwings were at war
with Icewings and was ready to put the ferocity of the whole
Nightwing tribe in the way she fought.
Spiri twisted her head and aimed frostbreath at the foe's shoulder
as it lunged for her own. She didn't know IceWing techniques, but
she would use all her IceWing skills to fight off this bloodlicking
creature. She did not aim to kill, but consciously decided she
would if she had to.
Darkgazer breathed fire to counter the frostbreath and hoped that
it would overpower the frostbreath entirely to burn her foe. She
was in a blind rage at this point and the only thing she could see
against the red that covered her vision was Spiri. She could still
hear the thoughts of the other dragons but it all seemed distant
and unreal to her.
Spiri leaped back to avoid the frostbreath and leaped ferociously
at Darkgazer, matching her aggression in a perfect parallel,
feeling the cold IceWing blood in her veins. Her blood was purple,
due to her mixed breeding parents. She felt it roar in her ears,
and her earlier hesitation had melted like ice in a volcano, and
she now felt like a true warrior, just like her father's tribe. As
soon as she landed on the NightWing, she slashed ferociously at the
earlier wound on her cheek, roaring in the opponents ears in
attempts to distract them.
Darkgazer let out a roar of pain and slashed at Spiri's eyes with
her talons in an attempt to blind her. She was not going to show
mercy on the hybrids after what they did to her queen. Any hybrid
had to die now. She wasn't aware of how some of the queens and
hybrids had stopped fighting to watch because of her blind
rage.
Dragonfly hissed at Holly. "Traitor" She said before hearing a much
larger fight and turning around to see what was going on.
Buzzard, Phoenix, Graystrike, Fireheart, Everglade, Cinderclaws,
and Emperor had all stopped fighting and turned to watch Drakgazer
and Spiri fight. None of them had noticed Holly's actions to save
Chamomile yet.
Spiri was swift in her dodge. Darkgazer missed her eyes, but left
an ugly scratch on her snout, causing Spiri to once more retaliate
with a ferocious attack of frostbreath to the NightWing's talons,
freezing her claws together painfully, and shot a whole huge load
of flamesilk directly in the hunter's eyes. She was angry now, and
not about to loose, the possibility of going for the kill still in
the back of her mind, and getting closer to reality.
Darkgazer let out a stream of fire to unfreeze her talons and to
burn away the silk before it reached her eyes. In the one part of
her mind that was still thinking rationally, she thought about
using the animus powers she had from the tablet to make herself
stronger or something. She still wasn't sure though and lunged for
Spiri's shoulders with her mouth wide open and spewing flames from
it.
Spiri decided to use her own frostbreath to counter the flames,
cooling and blasting through the plasma. Spiri then lunged for and
grabbed the NightWing's snout, muscling it to the ground with a
hiss, and swinging around to leap onto the opponent's back. She
shot the flamesilk in her eyes again, this time not missing. Now
she was certain. She'd killed once, she could kill twice in the
same battle. Her ridged claws gripped the NightWing's neck.
Darkgazer at that moment snapped out of her rage as he realized
that if she didn't do something that she was going to die. She
enchanted her scales to be impervious to physical attacks and her
bones to be as hard as diamonds. She braced herself for the
inevitable attack and hoped that her spell worked.
