The Present That Was, Not Is

Character Thread


Fierce heavy metal rock and pop genre music blared loudly from the speakers, striking something fierce into November’s heart and spirit as he casually rapped his hand of cards face down on the table. Around him, the various gijinkas circulated around the party, each playing to activities that were in their interest. Several bottles of various beverages, some of which were quite alcoholic from what he could tell at least, lay in the middle of the room, light glinting brightly off their glass edges. He’d proposed this party to the group, because this was a very, very special day. Exactly a year ago, they had escaped Team Rocket’s clutches. They’d been free, for a good while.

Gira was separated from the others, holed up in a corner, seeming almost... distant.

Melty had been holding herself back from consuming anything metal. She had learned to control her urges a little better

Spiri was happy to be free still. After a few times of being constantly attacked and shoved into a cage, she was glad it seemed to be over with. She looked at November, she was glad he was back, too. She would never say exactly why she was so happy, as it would embarrass her to say it aloud. Looking around, she realized Meka was nowhere to be found, she wondered what the Mew was up to.

Flick was standing, leaning against the wall, watching the others make fools of themselves.

Fyssi was focusing on keeping her head and her son away from all the alcohol.

The door flew open to reveal Bri. Ever since they last met, he had gotten slightly taller. His red hair was tied up in a ponytail, and he gave off a more cowboy like aura. He smiled at the party, wondering if anyone would recognise him after being away for so long

Melty noticed Bri if no one else. She smiled and gave a little wave. In terms of appearance, she looked a little less childlike

Gira on the other hand hadn’t changed at all

He waved cheerfully at Melty before being knocked over by the baby Lugia. He laughed cheerfully as he held it close. He looked at Shade. “Heya! Oh...um...I forgotten your name...sorry...” he admitted, embarrassed

The lugia squawked at Shade and nuzzled Bri. "Memba me??!!" It squawked.

Spiri decided to focus on Meka instead of November. She looked around, wondering if she should try outside. They had come in together, she didn't want her to get lost.

Fyssi looked at Bri and smiled. "Hey kid." She still felt a little self-conscious that after all this time, her shadow appearance had not changed. "I see you found my son again."

Meka had appeared behind Flick, shoving something into his mouth that earned her a loud protest.

Spiri sighed. Just what the hell did she think she was doing?

"I kept the name you chose for him." Fyssi was sitting in a chair, she had panicked a little when her son left her sight to find Bri, and was happy for the reunion
