So I recently got an egg from the lab, and it's rarity is Unown. It has hatched and it is an Unown K? Can someone explain to me what an Unown is?

There could be a chance that Unown can be adopted from the Lab. Although, they are really rare, and it takes about 10,000 EHP to hatch an Unown egg. There are many types of Unowns, and you got one of them. There are 26 types of Unowns: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z

Unowns are Mysterious letters.

Looks like you got Unown K.

What do Unowns do exactly, and what are they for?

They are pretty useless Pokémon only used for completing the dex and completing a task in the Ancient Cave

they’re just pokemon like the rest of the things you hatch. they’re in the main series. they form an alphabet.

Anyway, Unown is a Pokemon that is used to fill up your dex and for a task in the Ancient Cave.
If you have a Unown, it can breed with a Ditto, producing a random Unown. It is most likely to find the Unown that you are breeding though.
As for the Ancient Cave quest, if you fill up every Unown in your Pokedex (under the "Home" tab) and Eggdex (if something is in your eggdex that means you hatched it from an egg), then you will finish the Unown Quest.
Before finishing the Unown quest, the cost of a Unown from the Gem Collector is 150 Normal Gems, but after the quest the cost of a Unown from the Gem Collector drops to 1/2 of its original price. (75 normal gems.)

@That_One_Creepy_Weirdo, You can obtain an Unown egg from the Gem collector in exchange for 150 psychic gems instead of 150 normal gems...

How do I get more Unknown I really want to finish the tasks.

This is my battle team if I get all of these pokemon to level 1000 I will do a giveaway for 3 megas, and 2 gigas.
Iam planning to make Solgaleo the strongest, Machamp a gigs, venasaur a megea or agiga, same with charizard, and the lucario, and winter ampharos, megas.

Unown are primarily obtained through the lab, but you can also purchase them from others.

To obtain their eggdex, adopt from lab or trade an unown from another user and breed it with a ditto or exchange an egg with the gem collector for 150 psychic gems if you have the unown Pokédex
