What I mean is, I don't think I've had a day without any sort of threat since I was a fledgling. There's always someone trying to kill us or hurt us, or in this case, make us hurt others. It makes me question my own existence.

"To be fair to Ashburn, he doesn't know that he's the bad guy. He thinks he knows what's best for the world, so to him whoever tries to stop him is evil. Unfortunately, he's wrong. He wants to dethrone the King because he thinks that the world leaders have to be superior beings, vampires coming to mind."

"It's all Destral's fault... and ours, too. We didn't manage to stop Destral in time, so he managed to get Cervantes into it. Phantom sensed Cervantes's return, so he came in too, practically painting a target for Niro as well, and seeing the chaos caused by Niro allowed Ashburn to make his power grab, putting us under his command. I'm willing to assume that we've already lost. We should just go to Destral and admit defeat..."
He grabbed the helm of his knight armor and smashed it into a tree.

Siegfried stared at Ashburn:
"Wait a minute... What kind of vampire are you? Why can you stand in the sun without getting burned to ash? And why is your hair short and blond? In your youth you had long, black hair! And why do I sense the same DNA in your blood as in mine? For that matter, why is there blood in your body if you're a vampire?"
Ashburn sighed in defeat:
"All you need to know is this; yes, you're right, I am not a vampire, nor is it possible to be one anymore. I just used an anti-aging potion. No, I'm not the real Ashburn, the real one died 20 years ago.. And yes, Siegfried, I'm a relative of yours. All you need to know is that Destral is being played like a fiddle, and eventually the fiddle will break."
Siegfried tried to strike the impostor, but he anticipated Siegfried's move, blocked it and teleported away.

When they told the Castle Guards that, they both burst out laughing:
"Oh my God, this has to be the funniest thing this week... You mean you guys don't know the plan with the fake Ashburn? The King knows it, the Guards know it, even Hans and Franz know it! Did you really think they're actually that stupid?! Everyone and their mother knows the plan, how can you not know it?!"
