I was thinking we could add a fishing contest to Emera Square because, like the bug catching contest, it is featured in the main series games (or just the anime but I think its both). It could be like the bug catching contest in the sense of only pokemon obtained can qualify, however you could add a fishing feature instead of clicking water type pokemon. If you like this idea, please support. If you don't like it, that's ok as long as you dont verbally slander me. And if you need me to clarify what I mean, please say so and/or pp me so I can clarify what I mean.

shinys would be better than normal poke's in rating right? because some people dont have shiny rods but i still support

This actually sounds really neat imo, but it might also be a tad bit difficult to implement. Each poke has various different stats it has, and I'm not sure how it would be implemented into the current fishing system. Maybe, there be a specific rod you must use to fish up the pokemon? (So that way people with better rods don't have a huge advantage) Maybe also don't allow usage of baits? Then each poke you fish up with that specific rod would display different stats it has, and pokes fished up with that rod for that contest go into a new box specifically for the contest? (As in there be a new box next to the other where the contest-able pokes go).

I would love to see this implemented, maybe with the following:

-Goal is either highest amount of a certain species of Pokemon (i.e. for June aim for most Magikarp, July most Squirtle, etc.), or add size and aim for largest of a certain species (i.e. June aim for largest Gyarados, July largest Tentacruel), or highest stats for a species.
-Have a new area of Emera Square called Emera Lake or River or something like that
-Have separate stamina from regular fishing or be a timed event that does not require stamina (like, you have 5-10 minutes to play per day).
-Only one type of rod available that you borrow from the NPC running the contest for equal opportunity for all players (Emera Rod maybe?).
-Starts on either the 8th or 22nd so contests don't overlap.

I like this idea, but would'nt it be more fair if for example there was only one rod that you could use and the mega ables were visible in the fishngbox and would give more points, just like in the bug-catching contest.
