Aki yawned loudly trying to rub the sleep from her eyes. She sprung down from her favorite tree, the one where she always slept in, and shook her fur out to get off all the stray leaves. Sniffing the air, Aki thought she sensed danger and her wolf ears, acting sort of like antennae, had felt the air pressure and temperature change around her.
Hmm...am I still dreaming? she thought, tugging on her bright green and black wings just to make sure. She folded them and stretched the tips, taking flight after a quick liftoff.

Aki wandered away from the woods and flew until she caught sight of an injured deer and sniffed.
"First catch of the day!" she proclaimed confidently and glided on the steady breeze, not to be heard. She hid in the bushes to stalk her prey and then...
Quicker than lightning, she leaped out of the bushes at a strategic height and sunk her fangs into its neck, snapping it in the process. She made haste to carry it into the woods where she would have a delicious breakfast.

Aki heard a rustle from the nearby trees and went over to investigate. It appeared to be another white wolf like her and she was eating a fox.
"Hey there, what's your name? I'm Akina but I prefer Aki!" she said warmly.
Then, dragging the deer carcass over, she crouched next to the wolf and nudged it so that it was between both of them.
"I can't eat that much...you can have some of my food if you want."
