Kurusu smiled warmly and went to buy lunch. She came back with a heaping plate of berries and set the plate down. Kurusu was starving from all the unexpected, but kinda understandable drama. After all, it was just the first day of school and she was willing to take a deep breath and just go with it.
“Here, you can have some if you want! I don’t mind sharing...” she offered.

Meanwhile, Cinder chatted excitedly to Jin about all the classes they would be sharing together and how it didn’t really matter that he was late or not since the teacher was actually late herself. She groaned dramatically as she remembered the long, dragging minutes spent in gym class just staring into space and doing nothing. But she knew that it wasn’t all boring and exhausting.
Turning to Melon, she exclaimed with pride, “Oh! And by the way, Melon is such an amazing and talented artist! She should seriously consider being an artist when she grows up!”

Melon shyly shrank away, not liking all the attention put onto her as she was trying to focus on eating the lunch that looked so delicious just now. Then, she only now heard Cinder’s comment and thought to how she was not evolved yet and even then, she wasn’t sure what to evolve into while most others had only one possibility for evolution or none at all. Melon struggled to gulp down her food and almost choked. The food tasted bitter and awful now.

She'd walk up to the lunch counter, ordering some Pecha Berries and some PokePuffs then going to a table, putting down the plate of Pecha Berries and PokePuffs down and then sitting down. She was slightly worried that nobody would like her.

"Hey any one sitting here?" Kelly said with a laugh
*Ailli shock her head* "No." She said and continued eating
"So what are you into?" Kelly asked
"Um I don't know." Ailli responded
"Come on you have to be into something." Kelly said
"I like baking." Ailli said awkwardly
"Oh really that's cool I like sports and battles." Kelly said hyped and energetic
*Kelly kept asking her questions energetically while Ailli answered awkwardly for the rest of lunch*

Ryan and Chad went to the cafeteria to get their lunch. After that, they try to find a spot to sit. Then, Ryan found a spot.

"Hey, Chad, come sit with me! said Ryan.

"Okay.." Chad mumbled.

"So, what did you get? I got some Bluk and Pecha berries, want some?"

"No thanks, I prefer dry over sweet," Chad answered. "I got Chesto berries and some poffins."

"Okay, that's cool." Ryan replied.

Winter ate his food quietly, letting the noise around him fade.

Summer, on the other hand, would not stop talking. "I wonder what class we have next. I hope it's fun, because the last class of the day is going to be LONG! Hey, who are your roomates? Mine seem great!" She shoved a berry into her mouth.

Jin, having forgotten his lunch money in his haste to get to school on time, smiled and pulled out one of his rings. He then used it to steal some berries from Melon's plate, but he would like to think of it as borrowing until he could pay it back later...maybe. Melon pretended not to notice, but Cinder certainly noticed because she sat next to him and she nudged him in the elbow sharply.
"Why did you have to do that?" she whispered fiercely. "Could you not just ask her politely instead of taking?"
Jin smirked and replied in a low whisper back, "Nah, this is more fun...besides, it was only just a few berries and I didn't have my lunch money."
Cinder sighed, giving up. She would have shared her food with him, but since she was a man-made Pokemon, she really didn't need to eat lunch and would spend it by either talking to Jin or getting napkins for others.

Kurusu chirped happily, "I'm in Dorm 8 with Cinder, Ethera, and Bethelle! I really like my new roommates...but haven't seen Bethelle yet, at least I don't think." She slightly frowned, trying to think and focus on her meal at the same time. "Hmm...What's everyone's favorite class? Mine is gym, but only if the teacher isn't late and we actually do something..." She emphasized the "do" part.

While Melon and Cinder talked about their upcoming classes and dorm rooms, Haruki looked at the trailing line of students buying lunch and wondered if he should get a few poffins now or wait until the line was shorter. He spotted a Ponyta/Quilava fusion, lost and nervous, and felt bad for her. He wondered why there were so many Pokemon sitting alone or still trying to find a seat. He knew it was the first day of school and they hadn't really gotten to know many Pokemon well, still...
Haruki went to her and kindly offered, "Hi, I'm Haru! Wanna come eat lunch with me and my friends? It'll be fun!"
Then, "By the way, what's your name?"

Melon absentmindedly doodled one of the berries she ate in her sketchpad. She began drawing up a whole pile, enough to feed a Snorlax! This was a habit of hers; If she didn't find conversation or just wanted to relax, she would scribble random doodles anywhere and everywhere, just to avoid awkwardness and silence.

Meanwhile, Cinder had realized that since Haruki had invited the lone Alolan Vulpix to sit with them, they still didn't even know his name because they were so busy talking to each other and neglecting him.
After finishing her conversation with Jin, she turned to the quiet Vulpix and asked him, "I don't believe you've introduced yourself yet?"
With a start, she realized that she and the others hadn't introduced themselves either. "I mean well...my name is Cindy and these are my friends, Jin, Mellie, and Haru..." she stammered. "Also, you appear familiar...you are in my gym class, are you not? But that can't be, because I don't remember that you've caught the ball or introduced yourself once...and do you also have a sister? I remember a Vulpix named Summer in my gym class..."
She stared curiously at the Alolan Vulpix and cocked her head to the side, her ears and pink ribbon tipping to the side slightly.

Cinder continued to stare at Winter oddly and as her gears whirred and clicked, hesitated then said gently, "Do you like gym class? You don't seem to be very active or participate much...but that's ok..." She smiled understandingly. "Sometimes, Pokemon do things in their own ways and they often just want to go with the flow...we're all like that I guess, but I try my best in gym class even when I'm not very good at it... I think you ought to put a little more effort in everything you do too...don't you think?"
