If she admitted to herself, she was a bit nervous about how close Delta's flames were flickering in comparison to her fragile, delicate leaf. She flicked it over to the opposite side and took care that the flames didn't burn it. She was too afraid to ask the Pokemon to turn off her flames, if Delta could, because she was also worried that Delta wouldn't want to be friends with her or that she too, was nervous about being around her with her flames. Melon kept quiet and nibbled on her cookie for as long as possible, listening to the others attentively.

Winter shrugged. "We weren't really doing much in gym, so yeah. I should be fine." He ate a berry.
"I hope the next class is fun." Summer said, swallowing the berry.

She happily hummed to herself and scribbled enthusiastically on her sketchpad again.
Kurusu nodded, "Yeah well, I have art next so that should be really fun! What do you guys have?"

Winter looked at his schedule. "Wha-? I got Web design?" He gasped. Web design had limited seats!

Jin announced, "Me too! 'Guess we all have the same class together!" He nudged Cinder and she nudged him back.
Haruki happily added, "And I have art class with Melon! Art class is pretty cool...I hope we paint landscapes or um...maybe clay sculpting!?"
His gems sparkled at the thought.
Kurusu felt very happy for her new friends. She smiled warmly, finished her large plate of berries, and threw away the trash and messy napkins.

"Hm? I got web design after lunch, how about you?"
"Oh, I got art class. I guess we'll split up then," Ryan replied, while cleaning up the mess they made. "Wow, we sure did a lot of mess today."
"Yeah, I should try not to make a lot of mess tomorrow and, thanks for cleaning up the mess, Ryan."
"No problem," said Ryan.

Kurusu mumbled back, “Alright.” and then went to talk with her brother, finding out that they both had art together!

Summer grabbed Zora and raced down the halls to art class. "Come on!" She called.

"So hey, Winter...I hear they're looking for soccer captains for our gym class. Are you or your sister going to sign up as one? I'm asking 'cuz I might!" Jin said enthusiastically.
Cinder meanwhile looked uncomfortable herself because she felt the opposite, she definitely didn't want to be a soccer captain...too much responsibility and besides, she wasn't very fit or had a liking for sports and exercise.
Melon, Kurusu, and Haruki walked off together towards the art classroom. They got to know each other better and Kurusu was especially welcoming and kind. Melon looked at the two happy Lapras siblings and kinda wished she had a sibling of her own. She shook off the thought, grateful that she was lucky to have such great friends to share classes with!

Summer saw Melon and the lapras siblings and joined them. "Hey!" She called.

Jin mock-gasped, "I never knew you to laugh at any of my pranks or jokes before...what changed...?"
"Oh come on now," Cinder chided. "I've never had a good laugh in a long time!"
Then added in a quiet whisper, "In almost 6 years..." She thought back to her stepmother and all the tasks and chores she had to labor away for her. All the chaos and stress seemed to take a toll on her flurry of emotions.
Kurusu waved her over with a friendly flipper, calling out a "hi!" back. She introduced Summer to her younger brother and Melon as well as introduce them to her. "Don't know if you've met already but if you have, then cool!" said Kurusu. "So...is everyone excited for art or what!!!"
