Maddox jumped quickly out of the way and glanced at Nova's wounds. They looked pretty serious.. Good. He sent five clones in her direction, charging in with them. They all were coming from a variety of directions, all speeding along at a quick pace. One threw their spear, another jumped up high, another decided to jump with the intent of slamming down onto her. Maddox was completely blended into them, either running or throwing his spear/jumping.

No more games.

Nova's eyes darted to each clone, trying to see if she could spot Maddox. Then she noticed it. One casted a shadow, the clones didn't. "Found you." Nova put up a shield to block the other clones, then managed to land a heavy blast on Maddox.

There was a long sigh from Zuki, who stood a few feet away from the stadium. She was ready for what she’d been paid to do. Her teeth grit as her concience picked at her for what she was going to do like a crow at roadkill, and she gripped the hilt of her wire whip with stubborn determination.

The clones plunged their spears into their chests upon being surrounded, allowing Maddox to spawn any if need be. Seeing the blast, he initially panicked and thought that was it, he was finished. No, not yet. He thought it himself defiantly, summoning two clones in front of him to stand upright, putting his hands on their shoulders to steer him away quickly and them take the blast as he strafed left, his spear aimed at her waist. He figured now would be a good time to strike considering the blast looked like it would blast her back a bit.

Finally, thought he'd never get into my range. Nova yanked off one of her gloves and gripped Maddox's staff, both preventing the would've been fatal stab (reduced to another good scratch and drawing a bit of blood) and pumping radiation into the staff. The radiation started coursing through the staff into Maddox's hand and up the arm, it was slow, but the more he moved the faster and farther into his body the radiation would go. Now it was just a matter of waiting him out, the destruction of his cells would start soon enough.

She released the spear and with her free hand she sucker punched Maddox in the jaw. She watched him stumble back.

This is what he was waiting for. They were both on a time limit, it was now or never. He made two clones beside him as one was flung over her head, striking savagely to try and draw a large wound on her back. The other at the front aimed for her shoulder while Maddox himself blocked a strafe option, aiming for her ankles.

(I like how we keep using it was now or never.)

Nova knew she couldn't block all the blows, but she could block two of them. She stabbed the two clones and canceled their attacks, but Maddox's spear stabbed through her bad ankle. Nova cursed again, using her radiation to change her dagger to a sword she swung at Maddox, slashing his upper back and drawing blood.

The radiation sped up through Maddox's arm coursing through his body. It wouldn't be long now before the cell destruction would start.

No noise came from his mouth, rather than that, his vision went red as he shifted the weapon and aimed for her waist. He could have easily aimed for her stomache but hesitated for barely a moment. After that he put a clone in his place and shifted backwards, considerably slower. The clone used the wooden part of the staff to try and fight the sword.

Nova had been raised on using swords all of her life, but still it was a good fight between her and the clone before stabbing it and turning it to dust. She snapped part of the spear in her ankle so the spear wouldn't fall out and cause blood to gush. She straightened up and watched Maddox, he was slower. Nova needed to wait him out, she gripped her sword tighter.

All that blood and she's still standing? Maddox may be injured but he could still fight. He sent more clones forward, afraid of being wittled down faster by fighting. Four clones were made, charging in a formatted line. She looked skilled with a sword so the one closest to it jumprd onto the sword to weigh it down and send it flying through the clone, another throwing a spear at her forearm to prevent her from using the sword and making a clean wound whilst doing so, the other two aiming for ankles again. If he could render her immobile, the battle would be his.

Nova abandoned the sword temporarily and avoided the stab through her forearm, though she felt the gash form, but she'd take a gash any day. She trapped Maddox and the two clones in front of her in spheres, shaking the two clones until the spears were dropped then forced the spheres to collide, Maddox ramming into his two clones. With somewhat of a gimp Nova retrieved the sword out of the clone and holstered it, that clone turning to dust as well. With her free hand she formed a ring of radiation and tossed it, it clung around Maddox, pinning his arms to his sides, rendering them useless.

The cell destruction started on his arms, every bursting cell painful.

His head was down, hair covering it. Everything around them seemed to silence as it seemed as though it was all over. He breathed out a long sigh, the pitch heightening at moments due to his pounding heart. A few seconds passed, his eyes shut. A top tier distraction. A clone appeared behind Nova and pushed her to the ground, another appearing next to it to pin her arms down too. Her chin was at his feet, lifting up his foot painfully and slamming it onto her skull. He had to do what he could whilest she was down, so he summoned three more clones (5 total) and pointed their spears at her, ready to strike down and kill her at any moment. "You're done for. Surrender now or die." His voice finally rung out, sounding grainy and exhausted. He was still immobilised, but his legs could move and one was still on her skull.

Nova turned to look at Maddox with bloody face and spat out blood on his boot. "*no-no f-word here* you." Nova's eyes started glowing more brightly, as she stared back at him. Slowly the air started getting heavier, there was no taste, but Maddox could still feel something was very, very wrong. The clones turned to dust, not being able to handle the sudden air change. Nova pushed used her sword to herself painfully to her feet, then suddenly plunged it through his legs, first one then the other, making them useless. She watched him tumble to the ground then painfully stood on top of him, the point of her sword pressing on his throat, not killing him, but ready to plunge in if needed. "Checkmate."



(Welcome to my “Special Hell”: Makes the area being surrounded by heavy doses of radiation which speeds up radiation poisoning, ONLY WORKS AS A TRUMP CARD, CAN ONLY BE USED ONCE.)
(I dont wanna kill Nova off, but I do want to make it a close call. Like yes make her suffer, make her bleed and yes beat the ever living ish out of her, but dont kill her off. Does that make sense?)

The familiar boom of the microphone sounded, “We have a winner! Nova Nimnonaki! The final round of the tournament will commence in one hour! All 3 contestants get ready!” He said as the microphone cut off.

Tora sighed, “In one hour.” She said to herself.

Garoka sighed, suddenly feeling intense nervousness wash over his body. This is it, he told himself. This is my chance. If I can just win this last round...if I can win this last round...then I can fight Tora. His eyes shifted over to Tora. Then I can prove to my family that all that training I went through wasn't worthless. "This time, the Washinaki clan will win," he said, not knowing he had spoken his thoughts out loud.

Nina put Lucky in Charlie's arms and bolted down to Nova, who had collapsed from the exhaustion and all the blood she'd lost. Nina gently picked up Nova and took her off the field while Maya took care of Maddox. Nina put Nova in a medical cot and started a potion to help Nova's wounds heal faster, gently removing the spears from Nova's ankle and quickly wrapped the worst of her wounds.

Charlie perked up at Zuki's scream and carefully set Lucky down to investigate, Lucky totted after Charlie.

"I could have finished it there. Wh- why?" He chocked, his voice straining. "I- I- I didn't want to kill anyone, I never wanted to. I gave you mercy, I could have killed you and-- you treated me like that?" His head was spinning, his eyes holding back tears. "Get off of me." He hissed, staring at Nova sourly. He felt numb, invisible walls around him closing in, cold and wet with blood. His breathing uneven, mind lit alight. He wasn't sure how to feel. Was it good that he was out? Had he let his family down? Would they be disappointed? His arms went weak. "The cards lied." He whispered in a strained voice.

After the worst of Nova's wounds were treated she let Nova rest and went back out to help Maddox. Once she was at his side Nina smeared a green plant substance on Maddox's legs where Nova had stabbed then and wrapped it. "This should help, you legs will be good as new in a few minutes."
