Charlie had a chain around her neck, attached to it was a pretty looking crystal necklace, it glinted in the light a little. Charlie couldn't remember where it had come from but just always knew it was hers. Nova knew where it had come from, though, and it was a bit painful to recall.

(I realized that with Nova's and Charlie's ages that Nova couldn't have birthed Charlie, so Nova and her husband adopted her. As to why Charlie still looks like Nova and her hubbi, well, that's a little surprise. ;) Also most of Charlie's memories about the necklace are a bit repressed, so she cant remember them for the life of her.)

Garoka looked at the staff. "I wonder what it would do to my transmutation," he said, examining the staff. "Since I'm not creating or destroying atoms or energy, just converting it to something else," he said, hand on his chin as he leaned over Maya to get a closer look at the staff.

The staff was ornate, made of cherry wood with emeralds imbedded around a small ball of silver. It showed little to no sign of time passing; the wood still smelling like fresh timber.

Garoka hummed softly, thinking about what kind of abilities he'd have if he could create and destroy matter and energy, too. He leaned against the wall, crossing his arms. He smiled to himself, thinking of how powerful he would be. He looked at Maya, then at her staff, eyeing it keenly.
