obviously we have public notifications, that everyone on the site is capable of seeing by either going to your user page, or adding you to their friend list and tracking you in their own notifications window

but i was thinking perhaps there could be a friend notification option that would only be visible to those that you've personally added to your friend list, because not everyone wants to be tracked by every person that adds them

that way if you wanted to get a general notification out to friends that you were breeding or selling something specifically to people you know, or a personal announcement, the notification could be locked to where only those mutually on your friendlist could see them

i know there's private messages, but this is more of a friend group thing that settles in a place between private messaging and public notifications, because i've noticed a few people using the notifications as a sort of non-pm chat method (and i have done it too lol) (did this make any sense)

thus the use of the word 'friend'... only friends on the friendlist would be able to see the friend notification posts, not the general public

No support, sorry. You could just simply PM your friends anything you don't want others to see.

I would support if the community was bigger and there was a reason (Like a fairly large friend list for a lot of people/certain categories to keep track of.) but for now: No Support.

Maybe a multiple Recipient option for PMs would be a better choice on the matter if you're trying to get a message across to certain, multiple people?
