We had two twleve year olds (i think) who couldn't keep their mouth shut, they made stupid comments everytime something bad or relatively funny happened
Title: obviously massive spoilers ahead
god this entire movie absolutely killed me
i used to hate, and i mean HATE natasha and wanda. like with a passion. but this movie made me realize just how much they've grown as characters and made me appreciate them SO MUCH MORE than i did before.
i love how in the battle all the girls sort of rallied to keep peter safe and out of harms way while he had the gauntlet, and he may have lost a father figure but he most definitely gained a lot of moms.
carol? she DESTROYED me. i loved her scene with thanos and their fight, it shows just how weak thanos really is.
and the connection between gamora's death and nat's? it made me realize: we were never meant to sympathize with thanos. it was meant to show how HORRIBLE he is. he'd straight up kill his kid to commit genocide. nat did it because she was brave and chose to go. clint was so broken after that it really puts things into perspective.
one thing i did hate though is how DIRTY they did thor. that poor man,,,,
ALSO: WHAT HAPPENED WHEN LOKI TOOK THE TESSERACT?????

I'm not a big fan of captain marvel.. she is okay i guess but i can't warm up to her because i'm usually not a big fan of female heros :/ exceptions are wanda, mantis and gamora
Your right about what they did to thor, he absolutely didn't deserve that :c
We will never know what happened when loki took the tesseract
Though, to be honest, I wasn't the hugest fan of the final big battle as a whole either. How the heck did the supercrew even survive a sneak attack bombing that reduced their nice little clubhouse to rubble in the first place? Especially a squishy normal human like precious Hawkeye? Their presumed victory wiped out like that was very impactful indeed but come on, go a little easier on my suspension of disbelief, please. Everyone coming back together again as a huge army vs. huge army wasn't that epic either since we've already seen that.
Speaking of Hawkeye, I was absolutely thrilled to see more of him in this movie (and the original Avengers as a whole taking a lot of the screen time). I always loved him and Black Widow being a pair of close friends of the opposite genders and not hooking up, while at the same time being terrified they'd be lumped together. I'm both really happy with how things turned out and absolutely devastated. Them fighting over who gets to die was somehow a bit amusing and heartbreaking at the same time. Platonic love ftw. ;u;
Which gets me to the next thing I must gush about. How all the 'endings' of Endgame were so bittersweet. True happy endings only come in fairy tales and no happiness is free in reality. Clint got his family back but had to lose his closest friend for it. Everyone else was brought back too but Tony's happy little family paid for it. Steve got his life with Peggy but had to leave behind all his friends, including Bucky who he had lost and found again so many times. Worst thing is, I got the feeling Bucky knew Steve wasn't planning on coming back and Steve knew Bucky knew. They have a great bromance, can't deny that. Too bad we didn't even really get to see them fighting together in that final battle before they were separated again.
I like how they 'won' wasn't so heroic either. Tony just snapped countless lives out of existence just like Thanos did (just in a smaller scale). I know, a faceless totally-evil-to-the-core army of basically ugly alien clones. They totally deserved it and no one cares, right? But still, doesn't change how much of a mass murder that was with Tony as the judge, jury, and executioner.
Though, on that note, one thing that confused me was why the infinity gauntlet decided to start murderating the people who wield it. Thanos seemed to be perfectly fine the first time he did the snap. But now suddenly it's all pain and oh noes to whoever even puts it on? I guess it was done to add stakes or something but why couldn't they give a reason? Was it because they built a new gauntlet for the stones and it didn't contain their power as well as the original?
Also, Thor... I'm not sure how to feel about Thor. On one hand, there was moments it felt like they might be trying to wiggle in actual serious portrayal of how deep down the depression well he had fallen. But on the other hand, the constant humor on his expense really soured it. Especially when his supposed 'friends' took jabs at him. Seriously? In that world where everyone has lost people and are struggling to go forward, it's an appropriate time to make fun of a friend who's clearly hurting. I didn't have any strong feelings on Falcon to begin with but that one line really rubbed me the wrong way and soured the character for me. He just came off as a complete douchebag who sure as heck doesn't deserve that shield. >:[
The other source of humor wasn't really my cup of tea either. I can see why Bruce and Hulk 'becoming one' somehow would calm the final product down, but what was with that happy-go-lucky attitude? The way he acted just seemed so off sometimes. I get that they probably didn't want the whole movie be just one never-ending angst-fest but the humor was just so out of place at times as far as I'm concerned. But I can forgive Hulk since I do like that they didn't try to shove Bruce and Nat together again while also not forgetting that happened once upon a time. I thought their 'breakup' was done pretty well with the amount of attention it could be given.
....Oh man, I wrote a wall. But, all in all, I liked the movie. I have no regrets for hurting my bank account with the ticket. Good job to them for actually sticking with having Endgame be an end to a number of the original crew even if they did keep the door open for more superheroing. I think it's kinda fitting to not give us a "wait, there'll be more!" post-credits scene and to end on Tony's death since Iron Man was where the MCU started. Well done, Marvel. :,]
They could an what if movie where bucky gets to be the next captain america instead of sam
P.s. Sorry i'm not much of a writer/talker :/
i guess captain marvel is kinda OP, and from what i’ve seen, she’s kinda out of character?? i haven’t read her comic or seen her movie but i’ve seen pictures of her comics and she always seemed a lot happier. and to be fair, thanos did eventually overpower her from what i remember
