Astral flew to a shrine within the forest and sat on top of the wooden roof quietly. The mountain's cold breeze was hurting her back as she kept her wings intact. "I'm suppose to meet with that idiotic hunter soon," she mumbled.
She then grabbed some leaves from fruit from the basket below. They were offerings meant for a diety that supposedly lived in the very forest she occupied. "It wouldn't hurt for the locals to give their god some cake or something," Astral commented as she ate a bowl of fruit. "Huh. Sugar? With cinnamon... The diety has some sense of taste bestowed on the locals, heh." Astral joked as she ate the slices of fruit in the bowl.

Betcha can't! Kazumi giggled before she ran off. One thing was known about her, she was an incredibly fleet-footed fox.

Najima rumbled with laughter and chased after the white fox, her movements hindered a bit by the large trees in the way. She still managed to move incredibly fast though, however Kazumi was still in the lead.

A hunter was travelling through the woods with some hunters equipment and a bag full of traps, rope, and food. He walked through the forest where he heard laughter nearby.
"...?" Leo stopped walking out of curiosity to find the source of the sound.

Astral waited impatiently at the forest shrine. "If he's not here in the next 5 minutes I'm looking for him."

Lonely Mits sat on a log snacking on some cheese and a baguette. She easily found a log in a shade while watching the river gently flow by. “Geez, I cant spend my days on pain (French word for bread), and fromage (French word for cheese).” She sighed placing her baguette and cheese on a plaid Napkin.

Kazumi giggled brightly, as she continued to jog up the forest trees. She leapt agilely through the forest, leaving trails of frost.

Kamaria and Laylat followed a little behind them.

Najima followed close behind, body heat melting the frost so that no one could follow them. Laylat was following along with Kamaria when he caught the faint scent of a human hunter nearby. Knowing it best to keep moving he continued to follow the two, covering a huge amount of distance in a short time due to their powers, leaving behind the man.

Leo would walk in the direction of the laughter, he prepared a dagger in one hand and held onto a tiger tooth that was tied onto a coarse string. He crouched behind a bush eyeing the shape-shifters as they raced through the forest. His armed hand released its grip around the dagger's handle as he supported his own weight. He kneeled down, keeping his eyes on the group.
Might as well see how they react first, Leo carefully positioned himself, as he reached through his equipment for a traditional hunter's rifle.

Astral, not wanting to wait any longer, took off into the air and began surveying the forest from above to look for where her acquaintance had ran off to. She mumbled some curses beneath her breath. She wasn't the kind that enjoyed waiting on others.

“But as maman(mom) once told me: Give Respect And other will treat you the same.” Mits said, getting up and brushing off her tenue(dress), and packing up her small meal and continued to walk in the forest. *I wander if there are poor souls that I can rob from. A cute girl like me can get past easily.*. She thought. “Alright, Chiens de chasse(Shadow hounds) find me a paurve âme (poor soul) to rob.” She said, as three hounds rose from the shadows wavering and flickering like a dark flame in the mist. “Vous avez entendu mes ordres, allez maintenant (You hounds heard my command now go)” She commanded, the dogs barked before leaping through the shadows of the trees. “I wish I had some les raisins(grapes) about now.” She drooped her head.

Astral flew over the forest and noticed some shadowy figures running along the grond from the southeast. The figured, to her, looked like a group of corrupted wolves that left a hazy trail as the sprinted through the woods. "Those things aren't native... Eh, I should at least look for the source. Trying to destroy them would only bring myself trouble," she mumbled to herself as she flapped her wings in the direction of the source.

Leo was moving around in the bush as he aimed his rifle at the shape-shifters while they ran by.

Narrowing his eyes as he picked up the sharp scent of gunpowder, Laylat turned around to the general direction of where he believed the man was and roared. From the ground thousands of thick shadow spikes rose faster then you could blink, some coming close and nearly hitting Leo but none actually doing so. One did, however, appear directly in front of him, nearly impaling his hands.

Kazumi caught the scent immediately, started and immediately turned back to human form.

"Saesi air ei cestal celaes baes tia moraes!" She called to Najima

(there is a human hunter near my sister)

Kamaria glared as she caught the scent of the hunter. She let out an earsplitting howl, gemstone on her head glowing.

The spikes are reinforced by thorns that curl around Leo, pinning him to the ground.

Leo had loaded the tile before he took evasive action from Laylat's first attack, he was startled by the sudden appearance of the thorns Kamaria had reinforced. His leg was caught and grounded to the forest floor. As the rifle fell from his hand, it fired a stray round towards a nearby tree. "Crap...!" He would take a dagger and start to cut away at thorns that dug into his ankle.

Astral hovered over the plausible location of where the shadow hounds originated. She would circle the area as if she were a vulture hovering over rotting prey.

Mits bent down at a bush, seeing a shadow move above the trees. *Maybe this would make you leave me alone* she thought. She touched a shadow that formed into a human. “effrayer la personne volante (scare off the flying person)” she commanded. The figure bowed without saying a word, then leaped into the tree, forcing a branch downward and then letting it shot the shadow upwards as he tried to grab (Astral).

Najima spun around at the shouts and roars, turning to where Leo was with an angry growl. Spotting him, Najima reared back and shot a thin but strong blast of star-fire at the hunter, careful to control the flame so it wouldn't spread.

Leo hastily cut the horns off with the dagger. His hand gripped onto the tiger tooth he owned as he let his power increase his endurance. He then fled with a limp in his step, abandoning his rifle and some of his equipment.
He would flinch upon the fire blast hitting a tree that stood before him and left as the embers settled into a small pile of ash.

Astral would halt her movement as she watched a humanoid shadow being meet at her eye level. "That's definitely new," she commented as the figure leapt at her with it's hands out. She smirked and waved in response, "Hello~"
As she waved her hand at it, Astral would aim a blast of light from her butterfly wings at the enigmatic figure. "Goodbye."

Still crouch near the bush, a pain shot through her arm, “Light energy?” She mumbled rubbing her arm, she knelt to on knee. “Please go away!” She said. She decided to take a run for it.

Astral stayed in the air as she watched Most run off. She was completely perplexed about the whole event. The shadow in front of her dissipated in the air after the blast.
