Its a sunny day at Garnetville park and excitement was in the air. It's the day of the Comet Festival, A day celebrating the night of the comet's arrival. People were eating, playing sketchy carnival games, showing off their powers and generally having a good time. In a first aid booth sat a orange-haired girl gossiping to her friend on her cell phone about whoever had the most tea at the time.

"Omg, is that true?"
"Appears to be girlfriend! Btw, how the festival going?"
Orange sighs.
"Boring! All the complaints I have are so miner that I don't even have to use my powers! That's like, the point of being here."
"Girl that sucks! Do you think that any trouble would start stirring around?"
"Piff, I doubt it! Security been tight ever since the incident last year!"
"Yeah I thought so. Anyway I gtg, I got a history project due tomorrow and it is half my grade"
"Ok, bye~"
Orange did a little wave as if her friend was actually there.
"Bye."
Beep. The line went dead and Orange was left alone in the booth to care for whatever miner injuries occur.

Kamaria was outside in the festival, keeping to herself. her coiffed hair shining in the daylight. Her shadows gathered around her, but there was nothing negative to report. For now. She had her guantlets on, even though the ravenette hoped she would not need to use them.

Najima and Laylat Aldam where perched on top of the largest building. From up there they had a perfect view of the entire festival, and despite the cold wind biting at their exposed skin they seemed to feel nothing. Najima grinned excitedly while Laylat smiled softly, exited and happy to celebrate the day they gained their powers.

Kamaria stepped to the square, and allowed her shadows to form a beautiful flower. She grinned, fingering her dark amethyst gemstone, remembering the night when she recieved her powers. Her final power display was when she shifted into her dark kitsune form, allowing the sun to caress her fur with its warm rays. Being in this form also helped keep her warm.

Najima let out an exited croon, hopping on top of the railing and walking along it with perfect balance. Peering down she spotted someone shift into a beautiful black kitsune and squealed excitedly. Looking back at Laylat, she spoke energetically "Look! Someone else with morphing powers! We should go down and say hello!" She chirped excitedly. Laylat Aldam simply nodded, amused, knowing that there was nothing he could do to stop her. With a chirp, Najima jumped off the railing and swiftly flew down towards the black fox, mist curling around her body. Laylat quickly followed her, his entire body becoming black as a shadow as he traveled through them and appeared next to his mate who had landed a bit of ways away from the kitsune.

Kitari and Akuma watch quietly. "Interesting...." Kitari mumbles to herself as her brother scoffs. "This whole festival is stupid. People shouldn't be flaunting their powers and abilities here, else people will use it to their advantage." Akuma says with a growl. They both keep watching everyone, keeping their gemstones hidden

Kamaria quirked up an eyebrow as she noticed two people warping toward them, and rolled her eyes in a bored manner, sitting down. The black kitsune turned up her snout in a haughty manner and simply watched them, watching them warily.

Walking silently up to the fox, Najima chirped. "Well hello there! It's nice to see another shifter." She said with a fanged grin, her star-stained wings glowing, stardust curling off of her body. Beside her a black circle appeared and Laylat Aldam raised his body out of it, his body slowly fading into its normal tone. Both of them where taller then average, however the male was a head taller then the female. Seeing the shadow flowers around Kamaria, Najima grinned. "And it looks like we found another shadow elemental! Though I don't think she has a connection with death, huh Laylat?" She mused. Laylat Aldam was peering at the dark fox intensely, red eyes watching her every move curiously, his wings shimmering with the patterns of the stars on them.

"This is getting ridiculous... we should head home Kit." Akuma says with a groan. "Head home then Aku, the day is just starting." She says and gets closer to where the kitsune is. Akuma sighs and let's her get close, staying back slightly

Astral had flown towards the festival with clear annoyance. She was trying to keep hidden, but that's hard with wings nearly the same size as one's own body. Good news: it was the middle of the day. No need to worry about sticking out like a sore thumb.
The girl landed on the festival grounds and immediately dismissed her golden wings. She walked through the crowd, keeping her arms behind her back as she kept a curious expression. So this is the famous celebration that I've heard about? Astral thought to herself, she kicked the ground with each step as she walked by. Seems like a stretch.
As she walked through she noticed a small fox on the ground being confronted by a few others. Astral's eyebrows slanted as she frowned, "If I had to deal with naive thinking today, why did it have to be between a fox and two weirdos?" She stood at a distance while she commented on the group.

"Now where would be the fun in telling you." Najima said mischievously before Laylat Aldam stated bluntly, only speaking loud enough for only the Kistune to hear "Dragons. We both transform into dragons." he said, grinning slightly at Najimas squawk of protest, amused.

Kamaria made a soft sound, impressed. “That’s a great shift. My name is Kamaria. People call me the Lady of Night for an unknown reason.” The fox murmured the last part softly. She stood up and shifted into her human form.

"That is quite odd." Najima mused with a hum, her tail flicking. "Me and Laylat here also have gotten 'names' from places we visit, most likely due to our appearance. My most common one is Cosmic Queen while Laylat's is Dark Lord or Lord of the Void." She said "I think it has something to do with us shifting into mythical creatures. We have much lore tied to our forms and are associated with different things due to to our looks."

Raising his head, Laylat Aldam felt another pair of eyes on them. Scanning the area near them, he caught Kitari's eye and sent her a glare, blood red eyes glowing dangerously.

"That's possible..." The kitsune trailed off as she noticed Laylat glaring at two other people. Kamaria sensing hostility from Akuma, shifted immediately, a warning growl rumbling in her chest as she glared fiercely at Akuma. Her gemstone, which was located on her forehead, started to glow. She felt that part of this was her fault, because she wasn't exactly supposed to flaunt her kitsune form, but the daytime chill had warranted it. Her hackles and fur were raised, making her seem bigger and more intimidating.

Akuma doesnt seem intimidated, standing his ground and growling back. After a few minutes, he walks away, muttering under his breath. Kitari on the other hand, keeps watching, like she is making mental notes of the abilities that she is seeing

"Ugh... I didn't want to step in," Astral walked through to the group. It's funny how someone who appears to be so young decided to act like the mature one between several other young adults. She crossed her arms as she confronted them. "Hey! Do you all mind not to turn this place into some form of unnecessary bloodshed?" Astral snapped. She was unaware of Kitari and Akuma leaving the area.
Her eyes looked to the Kitsune on the ground. Astral's eyes then travelled, focusing on the presence of the two dragons. "And you two," she pointed a finger in an accusing manner at Najima and Laylat, "You seem like young adults. Act like one. This may be a festival, but this place definitely isn't a playground." Again, sort of funny for her to say that.
