Lunara, mimicking her brother, chucked the ball down the hallway.
once the ball stopped bouncing, she drew it back as slowly as she
could with the string.
"Cute and chubby. That's cuteness embodified." Kuro chuckled. He
pet the ferret's back fur
"Oh god, is the light too bright? Let me dim it a little. I can't
tell anymore, I'm too used to seeing light." Ray muttered something
and the light dimmed slightly
"I wasn't much better." Kuro admitted, "Where I grew up, after I
ran away from my abusive parents, I taught myself how to fight. And
it's not regal like karate. It's down, dirty and bloody. High risk
high reward, especially when I joined a bigger league. And once my
power came in, I won just about every single fight. Kept me alive.
"Considering I've knocked about 50 people into unconsciousness per
week, I'm no better." Kuro said, "You can tell me anything." Even
Cerridwen seemed to be nodding.
"You wanna know something?" Kuro snarled, suddenly angry, "If I was
there, I would have snapped half his bones. He has no right to
threaten you like that." His anger disappeared, "And I forgive you.
He sounds like a terrible man."
Kuro sighed and pulled her closer, "While your past is not pretty,
its..well the past. As long as you stop making the choices you
have, then you are free. All of us have sinned in our past--the
gang I was in was on the wanted list at some point. You think
that's nice? I cannot forget what you told me, but I cannot hate
you for it. I don't know enough."
“No no, it’s not too bright. I’m just sorta made out of shadows
right now. You’re amazing for doing this Ray.” Lusine smiles at him
and for a second she looks like herself with out the shadows, “I
just need to be careful, this power will vanish if it gets too
bright.”

"We don't choose how we are born Angora. Fate does." Kuro said
firmly getting up and sitting down on the floor, "The past is past,
and the only way a past is in the present is if you don't recognize
what was wrong with it. Look at you. Your father would not have
wanted his daughter to think this way. But the present you is
having these thoughts. You have already changed tremendously, I can
see that." He stopped to let the words sink in, "It it makes you
feel better, I won't tell anyone." He patted his chest, "You have
my word."
Tears were rolling down her face. “The familiar, Kenri...” She was
shaking so hard that she was making herself dizzy. “God, why did I
come here in the first place?!” She leaned over, she felt sick to
her stomach. “I don’t wanna kill anymore.”
