Matthew was late, which was an understatement to say the least. After receiving his starter, a male Ninetales named Myst, he charged his way through Santalune Forest toward the group, catching a male Scyther named Adron, a female Mismagius named Asteria, a male Togetic named Toto, a female Torchic named Pyra. After a hard jog with some speed-walking breaks along the way, (His endurance isn't the greatest) he finally caught up with the group. The plan was to initiate conversation but...

"Haaahh..... Haaaah....
Haaahhh..." Turns out running doesn't transition very well into talking.

The Aron was able to get up and began to wail as it tried to flee.
(also whos he born and bred female actually dont worry im not bothered lol)


"Oh!!" Knight turns around as she sees someone running towards them. "The Proffessor sent you on a quest too? Lets see your pokemon!" She smiled and her eyes sparkled with excitement and curiosity.

In an attempt to stop the Aron from escaping, Jeff throws a pokeball. Shroomish sits on the ball to trap it further.

The Aron broke out to find it was trapped under a Shroomish. "Ar! Ar!!" It wailed, flailing its arms around wildly.

(Encounter anyone?)

Knight is attacked by a Galvantula!
"I chose.. Claude!" She called. Claude looked at the spider monster and closed it eyes in fear. "It's ok buddy, just... breath..." she encouraged. The Galvantula ran at Knight instead of Claude and the Goomy jumped in front of Knight, using Protect. Jumping backwards, the Galvantula used bite on Claude, but it didn't feel anything. I know what that is! Knight thought. Goomy's Dex entry: It’s covered in a slimy membrane that makes any punches or kicks slide off it harmlessly. Weakest Dragon type this! She thought menacingly. "Use bubble!" She commanded, Claude let off roughly 5 bubbles which trapped the Galvantula. Claude caught it while it was down and used Tackle, making it very weak. The spider slowly got up and began to flee but Claude used Absorb as it was leaving to make it faint.

Shroomish is knocked off the flailing Aron. He gets back up, Using absorb to slow down their movements.

(Grace needs an encounter and I assume Bounsweet is caught?)

Lunara released the bounsweet, dubbing it with the name Mangrove.. Bounsweet is a boy.

After catching his breath for a bit, Matthew grinned and look where the person who called him was. Realizing that she had moved, he turned around to face her. "Yup! The Professor had also called me over, but I was a bit late! I'm Matthew." He paused to take out 4 ordinary Poke Balls and 1 Dusk Ball from his belt, and tossed them out to reveal a Ninetales, a Scyther, a Mismagius, a Togetic, and a Torchic in left-to-right order. "These are Myst, Adron, Asteria, Toto, and Pyra respectively. What are all of your names?"

(two of my pokemon are tier 4)

"Nice to meet you!" Matthew simply kept wearing a smile, while his Pokemon expressed their gretting in various other ways. Both Myst and Adron bowed respectfully, Asteria shot a warm smile, Toto happily flew circles around his two new friends, and Pyra backed away slowly.
