Many years ago, the realms of the Orb - the massive sphere that houses each realm inside - lived in peace and harmony. Each realm had something different about it - focused on something. Different industries, inhabitants. Different ways of fighting.

The main realm - Byithe - houses a prominent school of magic, Mareoire. Students from all over the Orb come here to study magic, and can chose which forms of magic to study.

But an angry ex-student has hatred toward Mareoire, and he has manipulated many students to agree with him. Why? He believes that the students should be taught in a militaristic way, so Byithe can take over the Orb. The student has an army of students, monsters, and non-humans on his side - not all by choice.

He has summoned The Fog using the rarest Grimoire, found on the realm of Solev. The Fog creates monsters and spirits who attack anyone not on the student's side.

The headmaster of Mareoire, Anne Opus, has decided that she will send strong students of Mareoire to combat the fog.

The worst part for Headmaster Opus?

Aldrich Opus, the rogue student, is her own son. And she trusts you to defeat him.

Byithe: The central and main realm in the Orb. It houses a school of magic, Mareoire, and many students from various realms. It is rarely stormy here, except for Blue Beach, and the climate is nice. However, on the far western side of the realm, there is an abandoned castle, which has been blocked off from younger students as it is home to many monsters and surrounded by The Fog.

Carnaelia: Carnaelia is run by a monarchy, ruled by a queen. Students interested in fighting with swords go to classes here. It is a peaceful realm and rarely warring with the other realms. The Legendary Sword, Owetanin, is in the castle. Aldrich is currently trying to get the sword and has kidnapped the eldest princess of Carnaelia, Kieara, and is holding her hostage for the sword while The Fog surrounds the realm.

Fire Magic: Fire magic is all about destruction and damaging victims over time. Their spells usually focus on creating flames or things attributed to fire, casting them, which causes the targets of the spells to suffer damage over time.

Storm Magic: Storm magic is one of the strongest types of magic, but it is highly inaccurate and hard to wield. Beside attacking, storm magicians can remove debuffs from their allies. Storm magic can also stun enemies.

Ice Magic: Magicians belonging to this type have the strongest defenses. They can occasionally absorb damage from attacks and heal themselves. They can also create and bend existing ice or water to do their bidding. Ice magicians are relied on to shield their allies with ice.

Astra Magic: Astra magicians are focused on creating power. They can attack with small versions of celestial objects, but that's not their primary focus. Astra magicians can shield allies, buff allies, or place traps on enemies that weaken them. They have high stamina but low defense.

Life Magic: Primarily focused on healing, they are the only type of magicians that can heal others. Their attacks rely on nature and can only be performed outside -- but weaker forms of the magic can be used indoors. Life magicians can also trap enemies using nature.

Mythic Magic: Mythic magicians can summon beasts to attack and are weak on their own. They are very studious, generally, and rely on any sort of history to attack and summon the monsters. They can also control relatively weak monsters in their surrounding, but takes a lot of strength, something they don't have.

Death Magic: Necromancers rely on summoning the dead to attack. They can steal the health of their targets to heal themselves. Their quicker spells aren't that strong, but if they take the right amount of preparation, they can unleash devastating spells. They don't work well in teams and mostly support themselves.

Personality:
Natalie has a rather cruel and morbid sense of humor and way of carrying herself. She's very wise in her ways and doesn't hesitate to point out things. Attentive and rarely loses focus. Has a temper. She can be caring toward younger people, but doesn't show it much. She is highly stubborn and never backs down and always find a reason to do something. Can tend to be cruel.

Natalie has three siblings and is the second youngest, only older than her sister, and younger than her twin brothers. Her mother left the family after Natalie's sister was born, and her father was rarely in their lives, so they survived on their own. Her age should let her be in year six, but she started late because of something with her family.

Under that she wears a simple black pleated skirt with two thin white lines on the bottom.
Personality:
Cinnie is very quick to the point and honest, but she often gets lost in things. She can be very arrogant but means well - most of the time. Cinnie is definitely a Type A personality and is a great leader. She's surpringly selfless and would die for her friends. Loyal, stubborn, and argumentative.

The daughter of politicians, she was raised in a loving but strict home, which led her to act out often. She was sent away to Mareoire to ‘act propery’. Doesn’t care much for her parents who didn’t treat her too well. She has an issue with authority and adults, even though she legally is one.

Appearance: Average height and weight. His dark brown hair is usually combed with flakes of dandruff on top. He is underweight and usually sleep deprived. For clothing he wears simple clothes, usually old shoes, a t-shirt, and some form of dress pants.

Personality: He is kind and caring. He hopes to help all he can and will go out of his way to aid them when needed. He is incredibly skilled with math and planning often preparing for anything no matter how improbable. He is selfless but this is mainly do to him considering himself worthless and unable to deserve good things. He is harsh with himself and struggles with depression and hallucinations. He truly believes everyone would be happier without him and has attempted to end is only life (which he is unable to do as he views himself too much of a coward to actually go through with it) Also rather obsessive over things for better or worse.

Magic Type: Ice Magic

Background: With a family known for mental illness he sadly found himself with depression and hallucinations. Ever since he was seven he wanted to die but he has continued on living.
He began to enjoy math, games, and riddles to avoid his issues. He often spent hours solving them.
When he learned he had ice magic, he went to Mareoire to once again find ways to distract himself. Rather than be social he practiced for ages.

Appearance: Slim and average height. Pale and usually tired. She sports boots, jeans, a button up shirt, and latex gloves. Her long blonde hair is usually messy and if not pushed aside covers her eyes. She also has a back pack.

Personality: Smart and calculating. She often is reading or experimenting. She is eccentric and eager. She enjoys observing and writing. When it comes to people skills she is lacking. Her moral compass is lacking and she will willing experiment on anything and everything near her. She also doesn't understand personal boundaries.

Magic Type: Astra

Background: She was kicked out of numerous schools for experimenting on others or using too many of the resources. Her lack of people skills and boundaries also didn't help.
She willing joined Mareoire as it let her experiment more and have all the resources she needed.

Appearance: Piper has straight, light-brown hair that comes down to the middle of her back and bangs that are usually swept to the side. She prefers to keep her hair up and out of the way whenever she goes out for classes or to fight. She's got hazel eyes and freckles all along the bridge of her nose. She has a square jaw and her teeth aren't straight, particularly on her bottom row. She wears a gray woolen jacket, white shirt, and jeans.
Personality: Rude, blunt, and overly-caring. She doesn't know what the word 'filter' means (metaphorically, of course, since she is extremely intelligent and spends a lot of her downtime studying) and could be one of the most brutally honest students in her class. She claims only to lie when her life depends on it. She's a bit of a nerd, as well, and considers herself to be an extreme introvert. She doesn't much care for company unless she knows that they really care about her.

Background: Never knew her parents, since they left when she was extremely young to fight some unknown evil. Adopted at age five, she grew up with only one goal; impress her adopted family. She's become an exceptional student because of it and leapt at a chance to go to a magical school.

Personality: Optimistic but somewhat cowardly, Hayden has always taken more pleasure in the arts than he has in fighting. Life magic seemed perfect for him for this reason. He commonly underestimates himself and doesn't have much confidence, but he tends not to think about stuff like that in the heat of battle.

Appearance: Troye is pretty tall, around 6'1 feet. He has dark brown hair that is usually just the right amount of untidiness. He is fairly pale, and gets sunburnt easily. He has blue eyes that are the color of the sea, and they are almost always sparkling.
Personality: Troye is a huge flirt and a bit of a player, but he is really oblivious and he often hurts people badly without realizing it. He is a complete airhead and only barely gets through school. He avoids talking about his family, but he's willing to talk about pretty much anything else. He's pretty friendly overall, but his intentions are often misunderstood due to his reputation.

Appearance: She has very pale skin, and dark navy blue eyes. She is slightly chubby and short but overall a normal weight and height, and has long curly blonde hair down to her waist, which she prides herself in, and protects at all costs. She has large features, like a prominent button nose and large lips. She wears loose boyfriend jeans (that she constantly has to pull up because she didn't want to spring for a belt), a tight black t-shirt that hugs her waistline, and white socks with beige sandals (ewww). She will also sometimes put on a loose greay sweater that is about 5 sizes too large in the colder seasons. She wears a golden septum ring, and many piercings on both her ears, with her ear lobes stretched to the size of a quarter.
Personality: In her default, she often doesn't display emotion, and often has a blank face, to the point when it can get creepy. She will often only use logic when making decisions and doesn't take into account people's feelings, only the fastest and most efficient strategy. She constantly wants to get things done quickly and get frustrated when people can't keep up with her. Despite her lack of emotions, she is good at working efficiently and charismatic when presenting or debating, whenever that may come in handy. She never works well in teams unless she is the boss. Her motto is always, "Have it done the right way and the right way is my way!"

Background: Born to a *loving* family, she never really felt accepted because of her body modifications and clashing personality, and later felt bad she didn't feel accepted because a lot of kids usually would love to have a family like hers. She was always very bland compared to the rest of her sensitive eccentric parents and sibling. After a while, she wanted to come and learn magic and get a change of scenery.

Appearance: He is pale and has dark navy blue eyes, just like his sister. He has curly dirty blonde hair and precise features, contrary to his sister. He usually rocks brown trousers with a blue striped shirt half tucked in. His socks and sandals can be seen under his pants, which were always too short for his tall and skinny frame.
Personality: He is very eccentric once you get to know him, but on the outside, he is slightly quiet and not very talkative. He usually likes to listen more than speak, which makes him a good friend. He is also sensitive and in touch with peoples emotions most of the time (except with Priscilla, which still baffles him). However, if you come off too strong, he will be rude, cold, and dismissive because he never liked going too fast, and instead liked to take it one step at a time and analyze, which would cause arguments between him and his sister. He tends to also push himself too hard to achieve things and impress people (see background).
Magic Type: Life
Background: Despite Priscilla always feeling awkward in the family, Oliver felt as if he was actually the most unliked child of the two. His parents would always reward and praise Priscilla for her achievements but never him, which made him feel frustrated when his sister would talk about feeling "out of place" or being dismissive towards their parent's praise. Because of this, he developed a habit of trying to be the best at everything to try to get his parents approval, but it would never work most of the time, it just led to more stress for himself. He wanted to follow in his sister's footsteps and learn magic.
