Violet and Volcan's Sprite School!
Forum-Index → Fanmades → Spriting → Violet and Volcan's Sprite School! That's the program that I use, so it would be less confusing if we both used the same program, but I understand if it doesn't work for you an such ^w^
I'll send you the tutorials in a sec, kay?
Erm, mawile is... gray
I said rose-ish XD
And sunset isn't just one color
try a purple and lavender axew and a freebie roselia
I really like the roselia, but the axew is only using one shade of purple
the lavender is also kinda too light, almost a pale gray
try a peachy cherrim and a tropical blue/green horsea
and the cherrim isn't really peach, more like a wilting flower
Try a light and dark blue mewtwo and a peppermint colored snover

I already gave you tutorials and assignments but I guess you didn't see them
Here's the repost:
For recolors, either take the colors of a pokemon and substitute them using either a paint bucket tool, or just pixel by pixel, or try scratching colors.
If you understand, try a pikachu colored bidoof
For animations, basically just change a pixel's pattern or location, and save each frame. Then use a simple gif making program or your choice, found by searching on google
if you understand, make a blinking eevee
For accessories, add it pixel by pixel, and remember to do shading and such. It's kinda self-explanatory.
If you understand, try a chimchar with a bow
