Hori awkwardly shuffled back, unsure if Rattata would hit itself or not. He kind of stumbled.

"You can do it, Hori!" Tiger called out encouragingly when he noticed the Pokémon stumble. Rattata grunted and tried to use a quick attack, but ended up hitting itself in confusion.

Rattata was hit by the move and ran off in defeat. "Nice job, Hori you won!" Tiger said cheerfully. Cyndaquil squeaked in excitement.

Watt applauded while Mira stooped down and offered Hori a high five. He did so and beamed. "Th-Thanks!"

"That was great, Hori, couldn't have directed it better myself!" Mira grinned, rubbing his horn.

Tiger smiled at Hori and Mira and glanced at Cyndaquil before heading to the ladder. "Next floor is the last one. You ready to challenge the elder?" He asked gently.

Tiger walked past Mira and went down a hall. He politely dipped his head in a greeting to the elder. "Ah I see the future professor has finally returned for that battle. How was that fall you experienced the first day you came here?" The Elder asked kindly.

"Painful." Tiger said with a sigh and rubbed his head. "I'm here to challenge you to that battle I wanted all those years ago. I won't be using anyone on my team."

"Then who will you be using?" The elder asked in an interested tone.

Tiger grabbed Taji's pokeball. "My Alolan Marowak. He's not formerly on my team but he wishes to battle."

Tiger smiled at Mira and nodded. He called Taji out. "He looks like he cares about you." The elder said kindly and called his Hoothoot out. "Let's begin." He called out and nodded. Hoothoot flew at Taji with a quick attack.

"Taji counter it with an ice beam." Tiger called out. Taji nodded and spun the bone club around he used an ice beam.

[honestly it suprised me when I found out Alolan Marowak could learn ice beam by the.]

Hoothoot was hit by the ice beam. He slid back and grunted before digging his talons into the dirt and slowing himself down. "Hoothoot, use a sand attack." The elder ordered. Hoothoot used the move and hit Taji in the eyes.
