The Town of Thres is located to the West of Route 5 in Kanto, the route between Cerulean City and Saffron City. It is surrounded by a vast forest, though there are three large clearings with a river connecting them all.

There are fruitful fields of berries and vegetables, and a few burrows and homes constructed for Pokémon. Cabins can be found beside these fields, furnished and a little dusty. Fire pits are scattered throughout the town, and the largest can be found in the town square. The make-shift healing hut contains a large electrical battery, which is advised for only Electric-Pokémon to refill, for emergencies.

It is a small town. It is a town with few rules, though all are welcome, few venture to stay longer than a few months. The strongest trainer is oft called the one 'in charge', though even fewer trainers stay for more than a year. There are no graves, or Ghost Pokémon lurking about. Few wild Pokémon hide in the forest, but seem to give the town a wide berth if they could help it.

It is simply the way how the town is.

Rules:

1] Follow PH rules. No graphic description of violence, or implication of mature themes. While there will be battling, there are no fatal injuries or death.
2] No God-modding. No one has special powers, or supernatural abilities. Trainers are human.
3] No bunnying. Do not take control of another RPer's character. You have your own character to play.
4] Write in complete sentences. There is no minimum or maximum for posts, but we do request that RPers try to communicate clearly the actions and speech of their characters.
5] One Trainer and one Pokémon. Your Trainer may have more than one Pokémon in their possession, but you may only have one Pokémon physically by your Trainer's side at any time.
6] Please hide your signature. They can be distracting to the RP post. Ignore this rule if there are less than 30 words and no bright or eye-catching images in your signature.
7] One post warning is enough. Should another user be found breaking any of these rules, another user may warn them of such rule-breaking, but only one other. Multiple posts regarding a user breaking a rule are excessive. Mini-modding is not necessary.
8] Three strikes, you're out. If you break the rules 3 times, you will be dismissed from the RP for a week. If, when on your return, you break the rules again, you will be dismissed from the RP permanently.

What now?

There is no over-arching plot in the Town of Thres. Whether your Trainer is running away from a problem in their life, or is looking for a place to relax. Or maybe looking for companionship--this town can be that, or maybe it won't. What happens in this town entirely depends on your character.

Think of this as a practice RP, to get your bearings in interacting with other RPers.

Time

Phases of the day are noted as follows: Dawn, Morning, Noon, Afternoon, Sunset, Night

When making a post, note the time. Some people are more active in the morning, and others are during the evening. Meal-times are up to the choice of the Trainer.

[NEW!]

To maintain chronological order, please state the TIME of when your character meets/interacts with another character.

If we gain more active participants, a map may be drawn so the location can be noted down as well as the time.

Having woken up around mid-morning, Kit took his time drawing water from the river and carrying it to the shower-building. Sure, Thres is definitely rustic, but he had to admit, it is nice. He hadn't kept track of how long he'd been camping in his cabin, the one closest to the Pecha Berry fields, but he'd guess it to be around two weeks.

Who knew that berry farming would be helpful in keeping track of days?

Once cleaned up, he ventured to his fields, kneeling down to test the soil and see if he needed to water his crop. It hadn't rained for a few days, but the soil felt moist enough to him. Watering would be unnecessary today. And then Soare squawked, and the trainer looked up.

What (or who) had his Wingull seen?

(since someone's salty i'll post)

Cordelia was sitting on the porch of the cabin she'd taken up residence in for the past few days. It was nice waking up each morning, but she greatly missed the sound of the waves rushing against the sand and then rolling back out to the Alolan sea.

So instead of sitting on the porch, she stood up. Followed by her partner, Sol, a Lycanroc, she wandered out to the berry fields. She actually hadn't been there yet, but then noticed another person standing within a row of berry plants. She immediately backed away, cracking a twig. It was clichéd, but it does happen.

"Hey." He figured he'd be the first to say something, since the girl hadn't said anything while backing up. He stands, letting the handful of soil dribble back towards the ground. "You ah, you're new around here, right?"

Kit might've seen the dark-skinned girl before, in passing. He hadn't talked to her yet (if that wasn't obvious enough), and he tried to smile. A first impression was important, and he was guessing she might've had a question for him. That or she wanted to learn how to farm berries.

He takes a quick inhale of breath before striding towards her. Talking from ten feet away didn't seem all that polite really.

What terrifies Cordelia about this guy isn’t that she’s almost half a foot shorter than him. Yes, she was very self conscious about her height, she was on the shorter side of everyone and it was terrible.

She took another step back, not wanting to be too close to anyone, nor strange and extremely tall men.

“Guess I’m new, sure, put it that way. Which is why I think I made the mistake of wandering into these fields and... interrupting whatever you’re doing.” She knows about berry farming, having done it herself, but plays dumb for no apparent reason.

Seeing her take yet another step back, he stopped in place and arched an eyebrow at her. "Cool, cool. So uh..."

Okay, so he was scaring the smaller girl somehow. Should he try to make a joke out of it? But if he was laughing on his own, that'd only make this social situation even more awkward. Think man, think! Maybe he should leave her alone? She probably really did just stumble her way to his fields, the town wasn't all that big, after all.

"Well, I live in that cabin over there." He gestured to the structure close to the fields. Sturdy, draft-free, and all his. "So uh, if you needed help or just wanted to hang out I guess, I'd be there probably."

That makes Cory even more confused.

“Why would I need tor help?” She asks suspiciously. Oh man, what she wouldn’t give to be back in a alola at this time. Maybe she shouldn’t have come to Kanto in the first place. Sol gives Kit a strange look from behind Cory.

“Hmph. I stay in that one.” Cory pointed to hers, avoiding the word ‘live’ because she didn’t really feel like she was living.

"Maybe you need help, maybe you don't." He shrugs his shoulders, starting to feel like this conversation wasn't going anywhere good. "It's still the neighbourly thing to do, offer to help and all."

He leaned back to look over at where she was pointing, a nice cabin shaded by a few trees beside a small shed. Interesting. "Do you think you'll stay long? Most people don't pick cabins closer to the town unless they plan on doing that, you know."

Zenith stepped out on to his porch. He needed a break from unpacking his various tools. He noticed the boy and girl, however, ignores them, taking in a deep breath of fresh air. A Chatot flies out behind him. Rather then keeping quiet, like Zenith, it loudly squawks. "Zenith! Zenith! Help!" Zenith takes another glance around at his new home. There seemed to be drama already, not the quiet research he had planned. He sighed, and walked back in to his cabin.

"Thanks for the offer, then." Cory crosses her arms. She turns around when she hears squaking and what sounds like a plea for help, but it doesn't sound human, so she ignores it. For now, at least. Cory turns back to the man. "I don't know. I need to get back home so I can help out. Who're you, anyway?"

Abigail stepped out into the field alongside her partner, a female Braixen, and stood there, taking a deep breath of the Kantonian Air. She sighed as she found it difficult to walk through the grass in her boots, grumbling in the process. "I refuse to take these off." she muttered angrily, planting her feet from moving. "Xen..." the Fire-type cooed at her trainer, which she understood was a sign that Braixen wanted to continue exploring the unfamiliar area.

"I wish I hadn't left my bike back home now." she admitted as she uncomfortably and awkwardly continued to step through the grass to her partner.

Both he and Soare looked around when the 'cry' for help was sounded. The Wingull spotted the Chatot first, and squawked softly before digging his talons a little harder onto Kit's well-padded shoulder. For the trainer, seeing that his Pokémon was unconcerned, he relaxes his stance. No emergency it seemed.

"Name's Kit. Yourself?" He returns his full attention to the tanned girl, cocking an eyebrow and debating only a second longer before offering his hand to her. A welcoming handshake, a little formal, or something. He hadn't shaken a hand in ages.

Cory's eyes trail to the Chatot again, noticing the Wingull get spooked. She glances at the Flying type on the man's shoulder - who she now knows was named Kit - before fixating her eyes on Kit again. She extends a hand to shake his, her grip firm, if not a little too firm.

"Cord- Cory." Cory introduces herself. "Are you from around here?"

Cassidy held her two maps out infront of her, trying to make sense of the hand-drawn one compared to her larger map of Kanto. "How is this place not even on the regions map?" She mumbled, half frustrated with her self for getting lost and annoyed more with herself for listening to such an elderly woman on how to find the town of Thres. At this point she wasn't even sure if it actually existed. "For all I know she could have been thinking about a different town in another region altogether!" Making a sound in her throat she tucked them both back in her larger cargo pocket of her pants, deciding to just enjoy the scenery.

"Au-di... Au-di... Au-di-nooo." She smiled as Joy sang, bouncing from one foot to another. Cassie sometimes forgot just how child-like the half pint acted; it was enough to make her let go of some of the frustration she had built up. Joy stopped short and tilted her head, her good ear twitching right before Cassie heard the squawk of another pokemon. "Audi?" Joy whispered when they heard the distinct 'Help!' cry at the end.

Cassie walked closer and placed a reassuring hand on her partners head. "It's alright. Maybe we are close?" Sure enough in a matter of moments they pushed through into a clearing; cabins lay peacefully around, a large fire pit loomed off in the center. At her calf she felt Joy shudder and wondered if she thought the same-- It gave an all new meaning to 'Ghost Town'.

Regardless, Cassie kept walking albeit much slower now as to not startle anyone or any pokemon.

"Not particularly. I'm from Rustboro in Hoenn, Cory." He was briefly distracted from her slip-up when introducing herself. Who would have guessed that such a small girl would have such a strong grip?! Because, well, he certainly hadn't, and it took all his willpower to maintain an expression without, well, pain.

"I uh, I kinda accident'ed myself into this town, like a lot of folks." Kit withdrew his hand, having the sense to not fling it around to dissipate the pins-and-needles feeling. "It's nice enough around here. Not too cold during winter, not too hot during the summer--or so I heard."

Hearing things counted a lot in this town. But if he was really honest, it resembled a small village more than it did most towns out there. Not that he'd say such a thing out loud: it is plain to see as the sun and stars above in the sky.

"So uh, you'd say you're settled, over there?" And he canted his head towards the direction of the cabin that she'd pointed out earlier.

Cory stepped back, rolling her sleeves up slightly before crossing her arms. Sol had wandered off somewhere behind her, which she didn't mind much.

"Ah? I got told about it. Said I needed a break from work, which I disagree with. I want to go back home." Cory shrugs, particularly displeased with her situation. "I'm losing muscle by not helping out back home, so I'm looking for a punching bag or something."

She glances back to where he pointed to. "Yeah, why?"

"A punching bag huh?" He opted to not comment on the 'wanting to go home' bit. To him, it stood to reason if you wanted to do something badly enough: you'd have already done it already. "Afraid we don't have any punching bags around here, unless someone brought their own."

Odds of someone touting around a punching bag while traveling? Not too likely, but the world's a strange place.

Kit was briefly distracted by his Wingull taking flight, maybe he spotted something in the air or found a morsel to hunt after. Either way, he trusted his partner to come back to him. "But I'd say your best bet for a punching bag is buying a shop-made one from Cerulean City or Saffron City."

(So.. should I ignore that?)

Noon

Natalia woke up and stared at the ceiling. It was not something she recognized, but it had been a while since she left her home and started traveling so she was used to sleeping in different places. She closed her eyes and thought about everything that had happened in the past few days. The long trip, getting lost and finally arriving to Thres a couple nights ago; it all came to her mind. She opened her eyes and finally decided to get up.

She sat down and stretched her arms. Natalia’s skiddo reacted to the sudden movement and woke up as well. It walked towards her and she petted it.
“Guess I overslept...” -she said to herself. She looked around and found all of her belongings thrown around the room. She spent the last day trying to tidy up a little but gave up half-way through. “Again”

Natalia stood up and got ready to go out. She was very excited to meet everyone on town, the day she arrived it had been very late at night and she had been very tired. Too tired to actually try to find someone or go out the next day.

Title: Diglett!

Fregi waddled through the Forest around Thres, following what he had assumed was a pack of wild Digletts.

It had seemed the small man was tracking these Pokemon for quite a while now, soon his travel would bring him to the outskirts of the town itself:

Chi: "Cu!"

Chi; Fregi's Cubone ever at his side, cooed out in a tired tone. She'd drum her bone onto Fregi's head in a wanting fashion.

Fregi: " I guess we should find someplace to settle down for the night ... ".

Fregi shifted the weight of the Pokemon on his shoulders for a moments making for the closest vacant cabin to settle himself in.

Amusingly enough before he could even achieve a home, the skull wearing Pokemon had begun to snooze on his head.
