Prize Log

Scoring system
Show hidden content

1. Maze
- Daily renewal
- Pokemon encounters yield tickets (1 fair ticket per encounter, unsure average amount of encounters)
- Can find items, rng involved in what they contain (pokeballs, mystery boxes, gems, tiny mushrooms, and tickets)
- There appears to be one hidden event egg EVERY DAY
- Small final prize (15-25 FT), most comes from collecting the items/stickers (Each sticker yields 4 FT)

- Average yields for COMPLETELY finishing the maze ~50-60 FT
~12 FT for pkmn encounters
~20 FT for collecting stickers
~3-5 FT for item encounters
~15-25 FT for exiting the maze

2. Apple bobbing
**Pure RNG**
-> No strategy here, just hope for the best
-> Prize ranges from nothing (pokeball/increased shiny or mega chance) to 100 tickets I think
-> Daily cooldown

3. Wingull shooting
Score-ticket proportionality
-> Very unforgiving, there are no extra points in this game and a single miss loses 3 tickets
100 points -> 15 tickets
95-99 points -> 12 tickets
(unsure of lower scores rn)

-> Can obtain a perfect score with decent consistency, worth taking time
-> Best strategy so far is to keep the mouse at around the center of the scene, goalie-like
-> Cooldown time increases the more you play

4. Diglett whack
Score-ticket proportionality
-> Every 5 points give you 1 ticket
100 points - 20 tickets
95-99 points - 19 tickets
90-94 poiints - 18 tickets
85-90 points - 17 tickets (...)

-> Shiny diglett/wiglett/event diglett yield twice as many points but there is a limit of 100
-> clicking an orthworm takes -10 points!!
-> Sometimes digletts are changed immediately by orthworm, no point fighting it or striving for perfect score
-> Actually easier to do on phone (using mobile setting), fewer sudden changes
-> Cooldown time increases the more you play

5. Ducklet fishing
**Partial RNG**
-> baby duckletts appear to yield a higher average ticket amount (~10 tickets)
-> shiny duckletts appear to yield higher ticket amount (~13 tickets)
-> Also of note, I believe that prize RNG is tweaked to reduce the more times you play a game
-> Practical implications of this might be that it's more time-effective to spend a little more time on shiny ducklett hunts AT THE BEGINNING of the day, rather than at the end where they will yield lower tickets
-> Cooldown time increases the more you play

6. Store
Daily changes
-> Retro pkmn have a set 5% shiny chance

Quote from DAY 1-
> Venusaur (Retro) - 250 tickets
> Moltres (Retro) - 500 tickets
> Typhlosion (Retro) - 250 tickets
> Snuggul Event Egg - 200 tickets

> Shiny Magmar Plushie - 30 tickets
> Shiny Pinsir Plushie - 30 tickets
> Rainbow Plushie (victini) - 250 tickets

> SOLD OUT sign

> One (1) random gem - 10 tickets
> Selfie Stick - 100 tickets
> Mega Stone - 500 tickets

Quote from DAY 2-
> Charizard (Retro) - 250 tickets
> Articuno (Retro) - 500 tickets
> Feraligatr (Retro) - 250 tickets

> Bold Plushie (victini) - 250 tickets

> Other items are same as yesterday

Found this one is missing

Quote from Professor Rowan
Yo, 'sup, [Username]? Ya chillin' with yo Dex?
... Urgh, I'm sorry. There was this boy who called me old and boring. He said that I'm not cool enough to keep up with the youth *sigh*.
Whenever he talks to me, I don't even understand half of what he says. He says stuff like "The beach is so seven point eight, way too much water." and sometimes "Got any new Hipster-Pokés for me, Brofessor?". ... I never even heard of Hipster-typed Pokémon! I tried to do some research, but... I can't find any information about them

Appears at at level 63-66 (so far)

I really really enjoyed the S/V sandwich mechanic and I think it could be a great mechanic/mini-game to implement in pokeheroes.

Basically I think it could be added as a minigame that gives a small boost, similar to Emera fountain or a shorter/weaker version of the flute system. I'll describe a tentative idea next, but of course it's only a suggestion of how a sandwich mini-game could work!

The very basics of the minigame would be:

1) Ingredient/Seasoning collecting

Ingredient collection could work in a task-based mechanic.
- There could be a limited number of tasks every day that you can complete for points exchangeable for an ingredient in the Deli, similarly to dream points or the prize exchange.
- It could also be simpler and you just complete a task and get a random ingredient, similar to the beauty contest.

2) Sandwich preparation

Sandwich preparation would be the core game mechanic. There are many options for this but here's a couple that seem interesting:

- Food-stacking minigame: The main mechanic here is to balance the falling ingredients in a tower-like manner. Of course some of the "best" ingredients would have more irregular shapes, making balancing them tougher. This is something like the gem cauldron where if you can't complete the recipe you won't get the reward. (Or basically how it works in S/V where losing ingredients gives you something different) It'd be also fun if failing a recipe gave you "dubious food" like in BOTW.

- Falling-objects game: This is another option I think could work well, since it only needs a small viewing window. This is the type of game where you have to catch the ingredients that fall from the top of the screen while avoiding "bad" ingredients or objects that aren't food. You complete a sandwich if you take all the ingredients without putting something bad in your sandwich, if you do put a bad ingredient then you get inedible food. The difficulty of this game could be scaled according to the number of ingredients in your sandwich (and this would also be proportional to either the duration or power that sandwich could reward).

idk if I explained myself but I remember I used to play something similar as a child, I could look for it for a better example

3) Time-limited boost or reward

Finally, the rewards. I think for this game particularly it could be similar to the S/V mechanic where different sandwiches give you different boosts.

Now of course in pokeheroes we already have a lot of boost, but, I think these could be shorter or weaker. Some options could be increased shiny chance, increased breeding chance, increased rewards while clicking, etc.

Some options could be that the number of ingredients dictates the time of the boost. For example, a sandwich made with only one piece of onion could give you a 2 hour boost, while one made with 2 pieces of onion could give you a 4 hour boost and so on. I also think there should be a cap at 12 or, at most, 24 hours. This would make it so flutes aren't significantly undermined by a sandwich boost.

Another option could be to have a one-sandwich limit per day. Similarly to the beauty contest, you can complete the ingredient-gathering tasks pretty much all throughout the day. But, you would be limited to making only a single one per day so as to not make the boosts overpowered. You'd, of course, also be limited to a single effect at a time.

Anyway, I really think it would be really fun and also encourage a lot of the shiny-hunting community to work a bit on these tasks since it could have increased shiny chance with the rarest ingredients, just like with Herba-Mystica! Let me know what you guys think :)
