Yas blinked and nodded slowly. "Yeah that pokepuff must have gotten to my head, or I'm tired." He joked back halfheartedly. He looked back to the strange cavern, and decided to check it out later. He swam after Kair once more. "Let's get back." He said quietly, and faked a yawn.

Kair snickered. "C'mon, I might be younger than you, but even I think it's too early to get tired." She stuck her tongue out and swam into the cave.

Yas blinked, and laughed in amusement before following after Kair. "Maybe I stayed up late last night plotting on how I'll beat you in a race." He said playfully, and grinned at her.

Kair skid to a halt on the cliff edge where her mother's den was. "I win!" She squeaked cheerfully, turning around a few times.

"Where have you two been?" A more mature voice called. Kair went pale for a moment.

Yas looked up, and glanced at Kair. He then responded in an even tone, one that sounded convincing. "We were out swimming near the cave, I went to show Kair a great place to find magikarp."

The Dragonite sighed. "As long as you didn't get into--"

"We never do, mom! We're strong!" Kair grinned. The Dragonite nodded and swam down, further into the colony. "Whew. Thanks, Yas."

Yas nodded, and glanced at Kair. "Yeah you're welcome." He said gently, and sighed in relief as the Dragonite seemed to have accepted his lie. "Anyway should we go get something to eat now?" He asked kindly.

Yas nodded, and smiled. "Yeah definitely." He said gently, and slithered off to a small pile where some fresh caught magikarp lay. He grabbed a plump one from the pile, and made his way back to Kair. "Here you go." He said with a grin.
